I want to online shop (but for someone who is not me), does anybody need anything?

I don't mean I'll actually buy you anything (sorry if you got excited there), I'm just in the mood to do some browsing but can't justify getting anything at all for myself.

If you are having difficulty finding an outfit/item or you just hate the search please give me a brief and I'll do my best to help!

Sorry for the long link!

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 16:09

I'm loving how many people are getting involved here by the way! I'm trying to be fair and do it all in order so sorry if I take a while to get to you (hopefully someone else will be along to help in the mean time).

Are you still wanting to look for other people?

If so, I would like a petite sized (or 3/4 length /short sleeves) shirt in pale pink or light blue, ideally silk or floaty material (not tight fitted cotton). Under £90. Size 6/8. Thank you!

TheDogsMother · 09/04/2018 16:44

@PaddingtonBearHardStare Thank you ! That's exactly the sort of style and loads of lovely colours too Smile. I am stuck in a fashion wilderness with a permanent uniform of jeans, jumpers, boots so would be great to dress it up a little

You could make a career of this !

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/04/2018 16:47

Thanks.

Quite like the trainers.

The coat is nice except it is navy and I dislike blue in any shade except blue denim.

The skirts aren't quite right - have been looking for one for about three years now and nothing is ever quite right!

booksandwool · 09/04/2018 16:50

Please can you find me one or two casual dresses that will suit a short size 10ish apple shape, including making me look like I have a waist and disguising a muffin top?

Shinycantle · 09/04/2018 16:57

booksandwool I know nothing about fashion but just happened to be looking on here and thought one of these might be suitable maybe?

Shinycantle · 09/04/2018 16:58

Argh Booksandwool sorry forgot link

Mistral dresses

BarryTheKestrel · 09/04/2018 17:01

If the offer is still available, I need a maternity dress for a wedding with a vintage floral theme. Size 12. I have seen some I like on Tiffany Rose but none in my size. Price range is preferably £50 or under.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 09/04/2018 17:04

@TheDogsMother I wish!!! It was just a fluke as I saw them come up as a suggested post on my FB the other day and I thought ooooh I like them!!!!

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 17:07

@peonylover22

A bit left field and a few quid over budget but I like this red (ish) skirt:

I know bright yellow isn't exactly a jewel tone but I am very drawn to this scarf:

I think what I'm looking for is impossible so any help would be amazing. I really need some sort of shoes that look fashionable, suit wide size 7 feet, last through miles upon miles of walking (not hiking, just walk a LOT for my job), are comfortable, will go with casual work wear (such as leggings/jeans/linen trousers etc) and are under £50ish (in case they don't last ages as in past experience!). Is it possible? Grin

Slitherout · 09/04/2018 17:08

Oh and low or no heel, also v important!

booksandwool · 09/04/2018 17:12

Thank you shinycantle - there are a couple there that could work nicely! I suspect mistral come out quite big so I might have to experiment with sizes a bit.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/04/2018 17:13

Slither If you don't mind waiting until Clarks do their next 20% off deal, you'll definitely be able to get something in there for under £50.

ladymelbourne1926 · 09/04/2018 17:20

Great thread op if you're still happy looking....
I really need a tea dress, v neck, ideally crimson ish in colour, flowers are ok so long as the main colour is red, size 10
I've been looking everywhere for my dd and have had no luck

trixymalixy · 09/04/2018 17:21

@hippywannabe take the dress to a dressmaker and have it altered.

Hi, I'm hoping you might be able to help me...

DD is 12, very tall (5ft 2.5" / 159cm, very skinny (age 10 ish waist & hips maybe), very long legs.
She wants some skinny jeans, probably super skinny in order to fit her skinny legs. She also wants a high waist. Girls / Teens jeans are all too short or too big round the bottom or both.
I've concluded I maybe need to look at very small size ladies jeans having recently bought her a pair of size 6 leggings from Top Shop which are actually too long! Probably size 4...

So, where should I be looking? We live near a small city so have a reasonable range of shops locally.

Should also mention, I don't want to spend too much as she will have outgrown them before long.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

The lady on this thread is getting a bit desperate

Shinycantle · 09/04/2018 17:34

Good to know booksandwool! Can't claim any expertise; sheer coincidence! Grin

Slitherout · 09/04/2018 17:51

Thanks Remus, I'll have a look what Clarks have got and keep an eye out for the discount

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 17:53

@TheDogsMother I see you've been sorted by another little helper!

@Tattersail I'm working on your cheaper, lighter blue sparkly Timberland-ish boots but no joy yet, sorry.
