I want to online shop (but for someone who is not me), does anybody need anything?

I don't mean I'll actually buy you anything (sorry if you got excited there), I'm just in the mood to do some browsing but can't justify getting anything at all for myself.

If you are having difficulty finding an outfit/item or you just hate the search please give me a brief and I'll do my best to help!

@CarrotCakeMuffins . Have you looked at Topshop Joni in size 4? They are very stretchy and I recently gave my niece dd old pair . She is a similar size as your dd and they look lovely .

Uniglo18 · 10/04/2018 09:37

@cornishmumtobe Fitflop is your friend here, lots of styles to choose from and extremely comfortable. They have memory foam soles and an inbuilt in step so if you have high/medium arches then your foot is supported. They're not completely flat so you can wear them all day without the inevitable flat feet feeling. I've got the skater shoes for the summer and the sneaker boots for spring.

@IrvinaYalom if you have some time could you please check out any super stylish trainer / shoe that I could wear to work? I don't want anything bulky...something discreet. My budget is around £70. Colours that would work are black / navy / nude...I'm open to others too as long as I can wear with most outfits. Thanks OP! x

IrvinaYalom · 10/04/2018 10:10

@BadTasteFlump Shame about the shoes! Things do pop back up fairly regularly on ASOS as returns are so easy. Keep an eye out and you might get lucky.

@TheDogsMother

Sorry if this is a bit expensive, didn't know your budget (or personal style!)

www.notonthehighstreet.com/gibsonandbirkbeck/product/long-sleeve-blue-jay-feather-print-shirt

This is a little cheaper (and v pretty):

This is fab!
Outfit for outdoor music concert (first one) ... late 40s so not too young ... mid July so hopefully quite warm . Ive no idea where to start 🙂

lurkingfromhome · 10/04/2018 10:16

@BikeRunSki - that navy jumper is perfect! Thank you!

TheDogsMother · 10/04/2018 10:41

@IrvinaYalom Brilliant ! They are both lovely though typically I prefer the more expensive one ! Zara one is possibly a bit young for me but in fairness you didn't know my age 😆.

Thank you for helping to drag me out of my dull clothing rut

@TheresSomebodyAtTheDoor

Combat boots: www.schuh.co.uk/mens/schuh-sewell-military-boot-brown-boots/3221066020/

(Ignore the fact that they are technically for men!)

Handbag: www.zara.com/uk/en/top-stitched-messenger-bag-p13409304.html?v1=5526029&v2=358041

(maybe a bit darker than tan?)

@clairethewitch70

As it's made to order, something like this but you could request and ombré coloured fabric for the skirt?

@SparkwoodAnd21

Cardigan: www.johnlewis.com/french-connection-bambi-knit-short-cardigan/p3447048

Ok at the sale price- wouldn't have spent £65 on it though!

Oh wow, this thread is great!

I am looking for a light cover-up for the summer to go over cami tops and dresses. I am thinking of a loose crochet/lacy cardigan, preferably in white or another light colour, if anyone has seen one?

I'm also looking for tan sandals with covered toes (a work requirement) and a secure ankle strap. A small heel or wedge would be fine but nothing too high.

Thank you so much in advance!

SparkwoodAnd21 · 10/04/2018 12:44

IrvinaYalom thank you! I’ll go and try it on!!

cornishmumtobe · 10/04/2018 13:33

@Uniglo18 thank you! I hadn't thought of fitflop - loving the leather sneakers as they should survive the constant drizzle round here Grin

Hippywannabe · 10/04/2018 15:46

Please somebody find my dress posted earlier. The size 22 was ebayed so can't be taken in

Would you be up for finding a wedding dress?

titsbumfannythelot · 10/04/2018 16:22

We all want to help with that @Kleptronic

katplva · 10/04/2018 16:32

@JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel what kind of fit were the Gap trousers? These are grey jersey trousers on the Gap website, available in size 8 at the moment.

I want to online shop (but for someone who is not me), does anybody need anything?
IrvinaYalom · 10/04/2018 16:37

@Oneapenny

Wide legged trousers are a tad tricky without seeing them on but I like these!

www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/trousers-leggings-4075710/corduroy-wide-leg-trousers-7341567?bi=40&ps=20

@Woofygoldberg, christening dresses...

Don't know your budget so here is a reasonably expensive one:

www.yoox.com/uk/34820714CA/item#dept=clothingwomen&sts=sr_clothingwomen80&cod10=34820714CA&sizeId=&sizeName=

And a cheaper one:

www.asos.com/asos/asos-pleated-lace-insert-midi-dress/prd/8842341?clr=emeraldgreen&SearchQuery=long%20sleeve%20midi%20dress&gridcolumn=1&gridrow=18&gridsize=4&pge=3&pgesize=72&totalstyles=755

(If the transparent bits are too transparent for a christening a cami/bandeau top/bralette could be worn underneath I think)

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 10/04/2018 16:51

@katplva that's the one! I started my own thread as I thought Irvina might be a trifle overwhelmed. Someone pointed out that they were still available online (meaning the shop assistant LIED to me Shock ) and I bought a pair this morning.

As ever, much more convenient to ask MN than actually look it up yourself! Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2018 17:31

Katplva
White lace cardigan here from Fatface. I haven't seen it irl but it looks quite pretty.

IrvinaYalom · 10/04/2018 17:33

@ChaosAndPiss

Please don't be so hard on yourself, you'll look wonderful with your DP no matter what you wear so long as you're happy and comfortable!

I think this dress would look lovely on you with your tiny waist: uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_1,mon_1.2/4405086118

And could work with these shoes: www.asos.com/faith-wide-fit/faith-wide-fit-ally-red-pointed-flat-shoes/prd/9182800?clr=red&SearchQuery=&cid=6459&gridcolumn=3&gridrow=1&gridsize=4&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=34

This is a fab post!

I'd be eternally grateful if you could point me in the direction of some work tops, not consisting of too much polyester (i.e. Not Primark or matalan!) , no huge flowery prints (Next I'm talking about you!), size 10-12 and 6ft - long line shirts or 3/4 sleeves suit me, boxy styles and ruffles/bows do not.

I suit bright red/kingfisher/royal blue/bright coral, not beige, cream, mustard, khaki...

Not much of an ask Smile

Uniglo18 · 10/04/2018 19:01

@cornishmumtobe you're welcome! I'm slowly building up my collection of fitflops! I have my parcels delivered to my OAP neighbour next door so dh doesn't spot them!-

MaybeDoctor · 10/04/2018 19:05

Ooh, some decent mid weight trousers - slim fit and smart casual. High waisted please...

OllyBJolly · 10/04/2018 19:50

Oh thanks Irvina

Don't like the first one - bit too frilly for me. I have a small waist, small bust, average hips so not sure that would do anything for me. I do like the Zara one but it's just too short.

Budget would be around £150
