I want to online shop (but for someone who is not me), does anybody need anything?

I don't mean I'll actually buy you anything (sorry if you got excited there), I'm just in the mood to do some browsing but can't justify getting anything at all for myself.

If you are having difficulty finding an outfit/item or you just hate the search please give me a brief and I'll do my best to help!

A maxi dress for a wedding, I'm 5ft 9ish, size 16-18 postpartum, ideally some flat shoes too please 😊 budget less than £50 for dress (good old maternity pay) x

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 11:23

Ooh great Sjjr23! Wedding outfits are always fun- I'll get cracking. Any notes on your favourite colours/ personal style or real no nos that I should bear in mind?

Ooh yes please....

I want to find some leopard print shoes - pref leather with a small heel (around an inch, not completely flat), plain-ish style like brogues or mocassins, no buckles or bows or embellishments, not ballet flats as they make my feet look like boats. And they have to be a nice leopard colour, ie not too orangey or browney, something in the middle.... and preferably quite cheap (not over £50).

Is that too specific? Grin

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 11:41

@BadTasteFlump There's no such thing as too specific here! I'm on it...

A red pleated midi skirt, please.
Also, some narrow fitting black or grey suede trainers.
And a breathable cotton rain coat, ideally black or grey.

SneakyGremlins · 09/04/2018 11:43

Can I ask for a stylish mens jumper? Grin

Shinycantle · 09/04/2018 11:46

Ooh - v good of you to offer!

Mature, rather porky candidate here (so not v exciting). I'm looking for a knee length classic denim skirt for gardening (easy to move around in but not too bulky at waist).

AnaViaSalamanca · 09/04/2018 11:50

cotten/linen mini dress for summer, long sleeves, please :-)

Prefer it with a belt.

AnaViaSalamanca · 09/04/2018 11:52

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie for the red skirt - check mango (I bought one from them), whistles, maje, and by malene birger

peonylover22 · 09/04/2018 11:53

Ooh brilliant- getting my request in before you’re totally inundated! A genuinely a-line summer skirt, above the knee but not too short (I’m 5ft 10, size 12 in most places). Budget up to £100. Would love a red one.
I’m also hankering after a summer scarf / stole. Cotton (or similar), not silk, quite big so it can be a coverup on chilly evenings. In an interesting pattern (not floral) or with a few stripes, rather than a block colour. I suit jewel colours. I like Isabel Marant but not the prices, budget also up to £100.

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 11:56

@Sjjr23 I know it says maternity but I think this could work equally well postpartum. I would go for gold accessories and maybe flat shoes like this ( I don't have your foot size so only did a quick search for shoes).

This is just a first stab as I have no idea what you like, feel free to tell me it's awful and give me a more specific idea of your personal style. I will happily start from scratch!

Thanks, Ana.

ItWillAllBeOkayInTheEnd · 09/04/2018 11:57

Ooh, could you please find me some size 9 black leather boots, suitable for skinny calves. Heel no more than 3cm (ish) and under £100.
Thanks!

BadTasteFlump · 09/04/2018 12:02

Ooh sorry just realised I didn't tell you my shoe size re the leopard flats - it's 7.5 or 8 - thank you!

TheDogsMother · 09/04/2018 12:04

Hope you aren't too swamped but I would like a blouse to jazz up skinny jeans/ankle boots. Something to make the outfit a little more dressy. Probably a light weight silky number and a bit funky. I'm 5ft 3 and a size 8. Not a fan of Bardot or those funnel sleeve types. Thank you Smile

TheresSomebodyAtTheDoor · 09/04/2018 12:05

Oooh Irvina you are good at this!! I really love that Maxi dress, may even get it for myself (not pregnant but like lots of eating room!)

I need some combat boots to go with good quality leggings/tights and some floaty tunics/dresses which I also need. I'm trying to reconnect with my 90's style rather than the Sainsbury mum wardrobe bore that I've become.
I'm size 7 shoe and size 14 with good legs and bad arms (so ideally long sleeved) and small bust.
Also a tan cross body handbag.

clairethewitch70 · 09/04/2018 12:11

I am trying to find the perfect red sparkly lipstick.

Also an hand fasting dress. Medieval style, green ombre (colour fading change). Long length, bell sleeves. Thanks

SparkwoodAnd21 · 09/04/2018 12:12

OOOOOO ME PLEASE! I’m after cardigans. All the ones I find are too long, and cropped or bolero type ones are too boxy or don’t have buttons. I’d like crew neck, about 16-17 ins (44ish cm) long. I’ll love you forever if you find anything.

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 12:19

@BadTasteFlump I know these are out of stock but would they have been perfect? (Just so I know that I'm in the right ball park!)

OllyBJolly · 09/04/2018 12:21

OOh lovely! I've been prompted to buy so much recently by S&B posters. Just bought some White Stuff swimsuits last week.

I'm looking for a nice summery -not maxi - dress for my first holiday in years at the end of next month. I usually wear blues but open to anything . I'm 5ft 7 and slim. A nice travel outfit would be lovely too.

Any other casual clothes ideas welcomed. My wardrobe consists of formal business or sloppy, slouchy dog walking clothes. Nowt inbetween!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/04/2018 12:21

Sparkwood I've got a couple of these from M&S and they are quite good. I'd normally buy cotton cardigans but these are viscose and hold their shape/wash well.

IrvinaYalom · 09/04/2018 12:22

Has anyone ever heard of poshbuggers.co.uk before? It claims to have those shoes in stock but my scammy senses are tingling...

OP posts:
BadTasteFlump · 09/04/2018 12:26

@IrvinaYalom ooh they are nice! I hadn't actually considered lace ups, was thinking more slip on - but yes I like them. The colour is spot on too Smile
