Do I wear too much make up? **Pic attached**

I’ve had some people comment lately that I wear too much make up so I’m after honest opinions please? I’ll be reporting asking for the picture to get deleted soon but just want a few opinions first. I love wearing makeup and enjoy doing it and don’t feel it looks too much but maybe I’m not seeing it objectively. Thank you.

Ok but why do you care what people think?

itstheyearzero · 30/03/2018 11:21

No photo

WhitneyHoustonsbathtub · 30/03/2018 11:22

It’s not too much at all but it’s badly applied

chocolatedonut · 30/03/2018 11:22

No compared to myself and friends that's not much

glsgow107 · 30/03/2018 11:22

No but the eyebrow thing is odd.

DragonNoodleCake · 30/03/2018 11:23

Your face - your choice!

duckponds · 30/03/2018 11:23

Yes, you look like you'd be naturally pretty so why are you hiding behind a cake of makeup

travailtotravel · 30/03/2018 11:23

Why are you asking strangers for validation? What do you think?

BigRedBoat · 30/03/2018 11:24

'Too much' is subjective, wear however much you like. I think your foundation is a bit too dark though, your neck is much lighter which will make it look more obvious that you've got a full face on. There's no make up police though!

gingercat02 · 30/03/2018 11:24

Not too much but I think it's too dark a shade. Your face is a totally different colour to your neck.

elmo1980 · 30/03/2018 11:24

I don't think it's too much, but I would say your foundation is the wrong colour for you and that you probably don't need to wear much make up as you're young and pretty but if you like it that should be all that matters.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 30/03/2018 11:24

I don’t think other people’s opinions matters, but you’re asking so...

Your make up is obvious, and people may be saying it’s too much because it looks heavy. If you were wearing more subtle makeup, particularly the colour of your foundation (which looks a little dark imo) then you probably wouldn’t be perceived to be wearing too much.

Amrapaali · 30/03/2018 11:25

Yes too much. I can see the individual components like powder and blush in your picture. It's will be way over the top in person.

Of course don't stop with the make up but look at yourself in natural light next to a window and tone down accordingly. Blend well and yes less is more. You can always build up more layers.
And yes you look beautiful if all you were after were compliments Smile

creepingbuttercupdrivesmemad · 30/03/2018 11:25

To me that's too much, but I consider myself caked in the stuff if I just wear eye shadow and mascara!

There looks to be a big difference between your neck colour and your face, but perhaps that's just the angle of the camera.

May I just say that you are a lovely looking woman - why wear any make up at all? Smile

TravellingTulip · 30/03/2018 11:25

I normally wear fake tan but I have none on today so that's the reason for the issue with foundation colour.

Wear what you like! You are very pretty. Perhaps lighter foundation?

DameXanaduBramble · 30/03/2018 11:25

Your foundation is too dark

onlyonaTuesday · 30/03/2018 11:26

You need a different foundation

I’d ditch the powder too, it’s too matte on such lovely young skin

Veterinari · 30/03/2018 11:26

What PP said
Not necessarily too much but wrong shades which makes it look mask-like.
Foundation is too dark, eyes are also quite dark for a day look and lips look a bit dark Abby Matt too - overall it’s a bit 90s goth Wink

MeanTangerine · 30/03/2018 11:27

Too much makeup for what? Does it stop you going to work? Does it impede your vision while driving? Who are these people who have the right to tell you what to do with your own face?

mimibunz · 30/03/2018 11:27

For me that would be an evening look. It does seem heavy handed for day time. And the eye shadow is all wrong. Poorly blended and the wrong colour for you. On the bright side, you are lovely so don’t need much help!

Jozxyqk · 30/03/2018 11:27

I don't know how old you are, what your natural complexion is like, or anything else. I don know a few people who wear more than you, in RL not just TV land. But I think you look lovely. I'm willing to bet you also look lovely with a lot less, or none. It's your face, your money, & your choice. I almost never wear makeup, FWIW.
