Do I wear too much make up? **Pic attached**

I’ve had some people comment lately that I wear too much make up so I’m after honest opinions please? I’ll be reporting asking for the picture to get deleted soon but just want a few opinions first. I love wearing makeup and enjoy doing it and don’t feel it looks too much but maybe I’m not seeing it objectively. Thank you.

BTW, you look fine/pretty.

AntiquePsychopath · 30/03/2018 11:29

yes, all too dark, but its the eyebrows that are spoiling your face, they are far too bushy and large and dark, maybe go for a more natural look?

Pidlan · 30/03/2018 11:30

You're really really pretty OP.
The only thing I'd say is that I can see your foundation/powder, so it looks a bit heavier than it really is iykwim. Even with the fake tan, that tone would look a bit dark for your face I think.

laddylonglocks · 30/03/2018 11:30

Hey OP, you are very pretty! I would have a lighter foundation and lose the eyeshadow (keep that for evening) but otherwise you look great.

LARLARLAND · 30/03/2018 11:30

You look nice. I especially like your shade of lipstick.

Cyberworrier · 30/03/2018 11:30

You are very pretty and don’t ‘need’ make up, although of course if you like wearing it go ahead! I would wonder if you worked in a job that “required” make up (something I find problematic in modern society) for its female employees, like in a department store or as an air steward, as it does look like quite a lot and not as natural looking as lots of people your age wear.

Dvg · 30/03/2018 11:30

I wouldnt say too much but as others have said it is badly applied, most eyeshadow and wrong coloured foundation.. the dark eyeshadow doesnt suit you try golds and creams :)

AlbertaSimmons · 30/03/2018 11:32

Depends doesn't it? If you've applied that makeup to go to the gym or nip to the corner shop for a pint of milk then yes, too much. If not, meh, do what you like. As others have said you probably don't need much makeup at all, and it's not terribly well done, but I wouldn't give it a second thought and certainly wouldn't comment IRL.

My business partner wears far too much makeup IMO, she looks like a clown, but I wouldn't dream of mentioning it.

Cyberworrier · 30/03/2018 11:32

PS No offence meant to you by that or to people who work in those industries! It’s just what I would think of meeting someone wearing similar make up. Probably silly of me- I’m terrible with make up!

fleetingthinker · 30/03/2018 11:32

You would look good with or without make up, so it's really down to the 'look' you're going for.

You've obvious got a fair bit of make up on in that photo. The shade is wrong and makes it look heavy and 'done up' but some people like that. It's personal choice.

wizzywig · 30/03/2018 11:33

Nope. I think you are gorgeous in the photo. I do wear a full face everyday though so i do prefer the 'made up' face.

ShowerGel9 · 30/03/2018 11:34

I agree. Badly applied and wrong shade. You would look much, much better toning down he foundation.

WhatCanIDoNowPlease · 30/03/2018 11:34

Well as someone who wears mascara about once a year, and hasn't worn eyeshadow since 1987 (the colour was orange if you're interested) and has never worn lipstick, I think you look lovely. Have you ever tried wearing no make up?

wizzywig · 30/03/2018 11:36

Forgot to say, you have a lovely smile too

clothcollector · 30/03/2018 11:36

honestly, you do look quite "done", not like you've overdone it but its not natural looking. I wouldn't think you were a TOWIE wannabe though.
You're extremely pretty with a nice bone structure too!!
Honestly, you look lovely, keep doing it how you like it.

LARLARLAND · 30/03/2018 11:36

I wear make- up every day. I think it looks a lot better than no make-up. It's a personal choice I make.

WhatCanIDoNowPlease · 30/03/2018 11:36

Genuine question - why are people saying it's badly applied? It looks fine to me.

AjasLipstick · 30/03/2018 11:36

I agree with whoever said it's too matte. It's a lot but if you like it, that's your choice. You don't look ridiculous or ugly....you look pretty but you still would without it.

rocketgirl22 · 30/03/2018 11:36

Why are you worried?

Don't let others undermine your confidence. You look lovely as you are.

SoftSheen · 30/03/2018 11:37

You look naturally beautiful, and would probably look stunning without (or with much less) make-up. However what matters is what makes you feel good!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 30/03/2018 11:38

You wear more than me, but I've known people to put a lot more than that on.

I honestly think you'd look lovely with less, though. You don't need any.

LockedOutOfMN · 30/03/2018 11:38

You look lovely, OP, and you are the one who decides how much make-up you wear, no one else.

Notevilstepmother · 30/03/2018 11:38

It looks like “going out” make up to me, maybe you could tone it down a bit for day time (if that’s what you want). Maybe paler eyeshadow and skip the foundation?

It’s your face at the end of the day, do what you want with it!

However I will say I don’t wear make up most days, and now I’m older I still have quite young skin. I reckon it’s good for your face to have time without make up and other stuff on it.

Do you wear make all day everyday? Maybe take it off once in a while and let your skin get some air?

Up to you. Remember makeup does add years, that's why teens trowel it on.

The base coat is the wrong colour though, you do look a bit oompa loompa but that might be the photo.
