Kate's dress - Stockholm visit

I think she normally dresses very well but this looks like her suitcase was lost in transit and somebody in the Palace in Stockholm very kindly offered to run her up a dress from curtains ( a la The Sound of Music ) that they were donating to a charity shop.

I’m not a fan of the dress per se but I do quite like that it’s very different and not some boring body con shift dress. It looks beautiful material and I bet it feels really nice to wear.

The colour, the style, the pattern - I can't think of a redeeming feature.

Ooh good god no. That dress is going to come back to haunt her for many years to come. The material might have been ok if were less of it.

It is very different for Kate - she's the Queen of the black dress for evening do's. I can't decide if it's glorious or vile tbh!

I thought it was in Gone with the wind that Scarlett O'Hara makes a dress out of curtains? Is there another one in The sound of music?

It's a horrendous dress but kudos to her for wandering off her tried and tested route

I think it could look well on the right person but it doesn't suit her.

Definitely an unfortunate choice.

Its awful but I get the impression shes just not that into clothes so just goes "yep" when things are suggested.

Now that I've found my reading glasses I take back my previous comment. It's hideous.

I think she looks stunning and the dress is gorgeous.

It would look great on someone who suited the colour, which she doesn’t. The dress is wearing her & not the other way around.

Other than the gold colour I like it. She doesn’t look comfortable in it though. Perhaps it was Plan B
