£1k ish on handbag

So I have been gifted some money unexpectedly, and would like to splurge and get myself a lovely handbag. I buy very little for myself so am very excited at the prospect! I already have - and treasure - a LV summer bag and a mulberry small going out bag.
I'm happy to spend £1-£1.5k as a real treat. So if it were you which bag would you go for?

Would you consider second hand? There are websites that sell preloved designer goods at good prices.

Be careful of that Mulberry - someone on here tested it a while back and when worn crossbody it was V V short.

I would go for oxblood (rather than the brown I got) purely because I don't think it will stain. I love my mulberry and think the zipper one is lovely.

Lucky you, enjoy your bag which ever You buy. Me personally I would by a decent big throw it all in everyday bag, over the shoulder small bag, a purse and a rucksack (rucksack is lifeline when holidaying with new baby to a 5 year old)

I don't wear leather or buy handbags (I have 3 to my name) but when DH and I went to Selfridges , I was Oooooh look DH that's a Mulberry Bayswater

Why not buy a coach and a fossil bag and still have change for matching purses. They are brilliant quality and will last.

OP, there was a thread once when someone asked for recommendations for a handbag and a poster came on and suggested she bought a bench instead so all the family could enjoy it. I loved that thread.
