A couple of times recently, I've been so flabbergastingly disappointed with a product, I've wanted to tell other people, to save them from the same pain. So I thought it might be useful for us to have a thread, where we could all share this stuff.

I'll start...

Charles Worthington Everyday Gentle Weightless Conditioner, which should be renamed Useless Conditioner. I had high hopes. It promises to stop fine hair from getting bogged down with heavy conditioner. The trouble is that it also doesn't condition or do basic detangling. My DP (who has a hearing problem) could hear my hair breaking when I was brushing it after using the conditioner. That bad.

And it smells like cat sick

Kion · 26/08/2017 19:39

That root touch up stuff is just awful. I bought the blonde one and it looked yellow and made my hair a sticky mess. Horrible stuff. First time I actually considered complaining for a refund. Went straight in the bin.
I actually love the Aussie shampoo and conditioner for my fine hair. I've been using it now for months and I won't change again. So glad I found it :)

Knope2020 · 26/08/2017 19:42

Oh! And batiste dry shampoo
Bloody awful stuff

McDougal · 26/08/2017 19:46

I actually like the co-lab dry shampoo. It's the only one that doesn't leave me looking like I'm going grey (I am but this is with freshly coloured hair).

Pantene weightless foam conditioner is useless. Needed to put a leave in conditioning spray just to get a brush through my hair afterwards.

Lauralou69 · 26/08/2017 19:52

Bare minerals foundation........pores look horrific!!

Grawp · 26/08/2017 19:53

McDougal which scent/type do you have? I might give it another go.

Finnbuktu · 26/08/2017 19:55

Max factor lipfinity

Cracks and flakes after about 30 minutes

Utter pish.

KatharinaRosalie · 26/08/2017 19:57

Benefit They're Real mascara. Real indeed, real horrible. I've never had so clumped lashes even when I tried.

I do love my Big Hair though

KatharinaRosalie · 26/08/2017 19:57

Oh and Bare Minerals. I looked like a corpse. Corpse with massive craters where my moderate pores used to be.

woodhill · 26/08/2017 20:01

Are any of the roots sprays or touch ups any good. They look false and they are hard to do. Even the white/grey looked better

NeverTalksToStrangers · 26/08/2017 20:08

I love my babyliss curl secret, but I've naturally curly hair (which I normally straighten) so anything i do curlwise holds very well.

Also love double wear as it's the only thing that stays on my skin.

Hate batiste dry shampoo. Ugh. Feels so gross and my hair looks shit.

BoreOfWhabylon · 26/08/2017 20:12

Seconding rubbish Aussie stuff and Bare Minerals crater-face.

Chottie · 26/08/2017 20:14

Touche Eclat - it just seemed to highlight my under eye dark circles......

MumBod · 26/08/2017 20:15

I love Aussie stuff!

McDougal · 26/08/2017 20:15

Grawp I've tried 'fresh' and 'paradise' and both have beaten batiste hands down.

Superdrug usually have quite good offers on them too Smile

joangray38 · 26/08/2017 20:15

C tilbury magic foundation. Only thing magic about it was that huge pores appeared in previously okay skin!

burnishedsilver · 26/08/2017 20:17

Bbh and loreal root touch up spray are two of my best products ever!

Touch eclat is utter shite.

QuitMoaning · 26/08/2017 20:17

I love the Aussie stuff and also Bare minerals

However I cannot stand Tresemme. Just makes my hair lank and greasy

LoniceraJaponica · 26/08/2017 20:17

Bare Minerals - makes me look even older
Aussie hair products - IMO a complete waste of money

ParkheadParadise · 26/08/2017 20:19

I love Charles Worthington root concealer.

Lauralou69 · 26/08/2017 20:20

I guess it's a case of just finding what works for you......which means all those damn reviews I have read are useless!!

MrsT2007 · 26/08/2017 20:21

Boots botanics eye make up remover. Simultaneously oily and makes my eyes sting. Nice.

Benefit mascaras. Clumpy, then crumble. Meh.

Chanel nail varnish. The colours are soooo pretty and the varnish is soooo crap.

Grawp · 26/08/2017 20:23

Thanks McDougal.

jeaux90 · 26/08/2017 20:23

Benefit mascaras and the eyepen. Rubbish.

I like L'Oréal root spray though, works great on me.

Urglewurgle · 26/08/2017 20:24

They're Real is my favourite mascara! And I like the Big Hair too.

I got a sample of the YSL babydoll one and it just flaked straight back off.

The only thing I've found really helps ny fine, blonde greasy hair go more than one day without a wash is to shampoo after conditioning. Then dry shampoo before bed.
