A couple of times recently, I've been so flabbergastingly disappointed with a product, I've wanted to tell other people, to save them from the same pain. So I thought it might be useful for us to have a thread, where we could all share this stuff.

I'll start...

Charles Worthington Everyday Gentle Weightless Conditioner, which should be renamed Useless Conditioner. I had high hopes. It promises to stop fine hair from getting bogged down with heavy conditioner. The trouble is that it also doesn't condition or do basic detangling. My DP (who has a hearing problem) could hear my hair breaking when I was brushing it after using the conditioner. That bad.

I use coloured dry shampoo instead of root touch up sprays. The best normal dry shampoo I reckon is Batiste NATURAL.
Products I hate - St Tropez In Shower may be the worst tan about. Garnier Micellar Water made my face sting like mad. L'Oréal Elvive (all kinds) makes my hair ridiculously lank.

Totally agree about Hydraluron - don't understand how I fell for that rubbish.

Left a horrible tacky residue on my skin, apparently this was if you didn't use the right amount.

Well I spent the whole tube experimenting with using more or less in an effort to get the perfect amount and it did fuck all for my skin and I never did find the right way to apply it. Waste of money for what was basically water in a tube Blush

Most conditioners have Dimethicone/silicone in them which wrecks most hair. Almost all high street conditioners. I avoid at all cost as my hair is terrible Aussie is the worst

Silicone is also bathroom sealant I won't use anything like that on me or my kids

Haven't read the whole thread but I'm surprised by the people saying L'oreal root touch up. It's a life saver for me! If you use as directed and hold far enough from your head it's great! Lasts until washed out. I also hold a cotton bud against my parting so it doesn't stain my scalp! Watch out for droplets though, washes off skin but not clothes. Apply before makeup.

Alternatively, label.m brunette dry shampoo is fantastic! No smell at all, unlike Batiste 🤢 (Sorry for going against the grain here!!)

To compensate, I'd say most Mac make up is horribly overrated! Foundation in particular
