God I'm not safe to be let out alone. Hopeless!

Tried this on and bought it in M and S today - very nice indeed - lovely crisp cotton. Enormous so sized down and will doctor belt to remove cheap looking silver d rings. Also in navy and white (a bit surgical looking).

Crem, whooopee, that is fantastic. Be proud.

NoCure, that will look terrific on you.

AIrborne, I like all gin and am not convinced I could tell the difference blind. Have you been to Fortnums? Go when quiet and make clear you are going to buy one bottle and would like to try something new - I had a little tasting session with a bloke in tails.

Having lovely holiday with cheerful laid children. Not sure where my two have gone. Lots of low key proper fun.

We must go to one of the gin caffs near here.

Crem, VERY impressed.

Back in the sun en famille for a weekend. Scratchy start yesterday - I had mistaken dd1s shorts for mine and packed them so she couldn't then find them when she came to pack (dds on later flight). Not sure why this became such a big issue - she and her shorts both got here - but I'm not sure the dds journey was very harmonious. But all seems well this morning - phew! (She does have the ability to make a non issue into a multi day problem although to be fair this is becoming much less frequent as she is growing up).

Belated extra holiday reading rec - East West Street by Philippe Sands. Lent to me by colleague - is riveting - about the two lawyers who respectively created and fought fr the legal creation of crimes against humanity and grnocide interweaving author's own family history.

I am half way through the latest Michael Robotham 'The Secrets She Keeps' which is quite sinister in a domestic kind of way. Not sure I like it.
Will get a browse in Waterstones tomorrow , so I am making notes ladies thank you.GinI also got a nice TKmaxx voucher for my birthday which I hope to spend. Am pissed off at Boden because they cancelled my cashmere order. Am now awaiting A Colourful Top , which I'm not sure about.

Arrived back (literally the last to be dropped back off the bus to the long stay carpark) to no wifi (thankfully came back on later) and damp patches on DS's wall - some sort of leak, but not currently leaking and no signs in the loft Confused

Still, on the positives, the house was clean and tidy as our lovely cleaner got back from her hol in time and there is virtually no washing as we did it before we left (and we were only wearing swim stuff most of the time!) Smile

Now need to pack for the next few days away, but it will be autumn clothes Shock as we are heading north to see family.

Hope so Cremo! Also hope it will be a bit quieter when you go - was mobbed. I can see why the Spanish are protesting and wanting sustainable tourism. OTOH, we didn't hear another English voice the whole time in Spain, and barely any in France - mainly Spanish and French and the odd Italian/other.
I was a bitSad to have missed Gregory Porter last night at the Cadaques Jazz Festival though.

Stop over-thinking the clothing - you will look and be fab whatever you wearSmile

Grin Crem

Could you wear the crepey skirt, smartened with a structured jacket and blouse?

In other S&B news, I must take a minute to wax lyrical about my Earth Spirit Sandals....the most comfy yet pretty I have ever bought. DD has them in red. Here

But now I am collapsed having made up four beds for DD and three friends arriving tomorrow. somewhat cramped but I am insisting on them sleeping in the bedroom. Trying to avoid bodies lolling all over the flat with me barricaded in my room...Hmm

Fine by me, MrsS - I have yet to be brave enough to start a new one by myself. I feel it should be left to the original Crepeys to do it.

Still feel a bit like a newbie.

Mind you, we had Maid and BabyBarrister at one point, but seem to have lost them.

It takes time and dedication to keep up with us lot.

We need a new thread title.

In S & B news, I want a pair of red flattish shoes for work. Not completely flat, because I waddle when I walk if they are completely flat. I had a wonderful pair a few years ago that got ruined in the rain at a BP garden party (hat had to be thrown out too) and have never found any as good since. I am like Carrie Fisher in When Harry Met Sally (one of my favourite films) "Oh - I've been looking for a red suede pump." Grin I also need a good haircut, a new face and to lose three stone, but I think the shoes will be easier.

Do you like these, Mrs S?

I might team these with my red Phase 8 dress for the wedding, but I need to see the red in RL, as it may not be right for the dress.....

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/08/2017 17:01

Yes, they are absolutely perfect. Thank you. I will head up to JL in the week and try them on.
