Balenciaga city bag.

HelsBels5000 · 21/01/2017 21:26

Pre-loved Chanel definitely

JustHereForThePooStories · 21/01/2017 21:38

Hadn't looked at Stella McCartney before but love this.

I'd never dare go out with the damned thing! If I was unbothered enough about it I'd get something really unusual, so not a Mulberry or a Chanel as they're a bit, you know, 'common'. (I'm joking, I don't really think they're common but I really would want to go for something that bit different - no idea what though, and I'm not looking...)

ChuckSnowballs · 21/01/2017 21:50

The Marcie Hobo is gorgeous.

You could just buy one from a supermarket and give the rest of the money to a real hobo.

jimthecat · 21/01/2017 21:58

Some of these responses are infuriating!

I am looking to buy something with a similar budget. Would really like a LV petit noé in blue but haven't yet decided. Let us know what you go for.

Dailymaildailyfail · 21/01/2017 22:31

I just remembered another gorgeous bag is the Givenchy Antigona. God I've fantasised about that bag for years, I would have it in pale pink.... a girl can dream. Come back and update us with what you finally went for!

mrssmith79 · 21/01/2017 22:54

A Céline bag. Probably a tricolour Trapeze in calfskin. Yes, update definitely required Grin

Minnie747 · 21/01/2017 22:59

Chloe Faye or Drew
Gucci Marmont/Dionysos
Or Celine

Enjoy shopping!

Minnie747 · 21/01/2017 23:00

Oh yes I second the Givenchy Antigona... very practical too.

PickAChew · 21/01/2017 23:01

Something more bloody useful!

nuttyknitter · 21/01/2017 23:09

A bag? Seriously?!

user1475253854 · 21/01/2017 23:09

I'd go for something a bit niche - if I was spending £1600 on a bag, I wouldn't want people thinking it was a market knock-off. So for me that would rule out Chanel, mulberry, LV and Michael kors (at the lower end).

mowglik · 21/01/2017 23:09

chucksnowballs because yes, I'm sure you would give a real hobo your £1300 if you had it spare Hmm

What is it about bags that some people hate to see other people spend their own hard earned money on them?

The Chloe Faye bags look lovely as well, I love the colour combos of some of them!

CantChoose · 21/01/2017 23:38

I think I'd get a Chloe, I love the Drew.
There's been a few good threads here recently about less well known brands, especially British ones, that I'd want to look through before deciding.
I have a couple of mulberry's and a really love them. They are a bit ubiquitous these days but I don't really care. I think if I didn't already have all the ones I want I'd be looking at mulberry, though I'd want to compare with my older bags to check the quality is still ok.

Gertiegoolash · 21/01/2017 23:52

A Chloe Faye in dark purple, gorgeous!

dalek · 21/01/2017 23:55

Chanel or Prada.

Enjoy whatever you do buy

AgathaMystery · 21/01/2017 23:57

I would buy another Mulbs and matching wallet at an outlet or on naughtiPidgins nest.

If buying at the outlets keep going thru the bags with an eagle eye until you find the perfect one. I once went thru 7 bags before I was happy. This is serious money. It must be exactly what you want.

PickAChew · 21/01/2017 23:58

i don;t hate to see people spending money on bags, but I wander through a mulberry concession and see £80 bags with a 2" tacky bling logo on the front. That, in itself, immediately screams "don't get what you pay for". I'd happily spend £1200 on a lovely handmade bag, if that's what I decided to prioritise, but I don't and would rather spend £100 on something practical and Radley, but still reasonably nice leather.

PickAChew · 21/01/2017 23:59

Not £80 but £800, but my fingers clearly agree with my brain.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/01/2017 23:59

Whenever we get the dog's insurance renewal or the bill for his care while we're on holiday, I point out to DH how much I don't spend on handbags. I'm sure I get far more happiness and envious looks with a dachshund, and don't have to lug a heavy bag around.

The marcie hobo looks like one I had in the 70s Confused I've just looked at quite a few of the ones mentioned and most of them are hideous.

Ok, I just don't get expensive handbags.

HoneyDragon · 22/01/2017 00:01

Yes you terrible people stop buying all the things and keeping folk in work. Don't shove £1600 into the economy, buy an egg sandwich.

SHAME ON YOU ALL Angry

ErrolTheDragon · 22/01/2017 00:06

They could buy a few hundred naice sandwiches? Grin

Avengerhart85 · 22/01/2017 00:14

Bayswater double zip 😍
They are in the sale! (You would even have enough spare for your M&S sandwich Wink)

HoneyDragon · 22/01/2017 00:15

But what would they put them in?
