beanfilled Are u aware that buying fakes supports trafficking, drugs and terrorism? Something to think about before your next purchase. If you can't afford it, please don't fake it as it has consequences.

I have a Stella Falabella. So far it is faring very well - still looks brand new after a year. My Chanel was in for repair within 3 months!

Longislandicetee · 23/01/2017 09:23

Amber I am not a fan of the Stella but only because it's waaaaay out of my classic comfort zone.Grin (Didn't know that about your chanel btw)

If you could only use one bag (max price £1300Wink) for the next 5 years which bag would you use? Would it be the Stella? Just trying to gauge how much you love it vs your others.

AmberNectarine · 23/01/2017 11:21

Probably. That or the Leopard Saint Laurent. The Falabella probably more practical as it holds so much!

AmberNectarine · 23/01/2017 11:24

You've just described my worst nightmare though blingy, shallow, vapid handbag-tart that I am.

BusterTheBulldog · 23/01/2017 14:34

Been coveting the Chloe Faye for a while but not seriously thought about it, This thread is really tempting me now though...! Grin

FashionMommy · 23/01/2017 16:15

Gucci Marmont

Viviene · 13/02/2017 01:15

Chloe Marcie and Balenciaga City

SenseiWoo · 13/02/2017 02:06

Salvatore Ferragamo soft Sophia bag in pale beige. The medium is practical but the mini is so appealing!

I've been thinking about this thread and wondering if the OP got her bag - and which one she went for

Hope she did

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 13/02/2017 13:03

I rarely use bags anymore but hell, I want the Prada and the Ferragamo posted! Just gorgeous.

OP did you get one in the end or are you still contemplating?

If you haven't, I would go to a fancy place like Libertys or Harrods or something and just scout out the styles I like. But I'm prone to impulse buys Blush

SusanTrinder · 13/02/2017 14:48

I've got a Mulberry Willow and it's beautiful. 2 bags for the price of one, so a bargain too! Grin

allfurcoatnoknickers · 13/02/2017 15:47

Smythson berkleley. I love their bags.

Alternatively, a Sophie Hulme Albion (well under budget) or an Anya Hindmarch Ebury, if I could find a plain one. Or I'd raid the Hindmarch outlets for something she made before the whole company lost the plot.

Tanner Krolle - Hermes quality and about a third of the cost!

ProjectGainsborough · 13/02/2017 20:13

I nearly didn't click into this thread, because I knew it would enrage me.

OP: 'I would like to spend my money on something which I can afford, which would give me pleasure.'

Loads of other posters: 'I don't understand your choice so I'm going to waste your time by heaping scorn on it.'

JustHere if you're .... still here ... Chanel wallet on a chain, for sure. Wish I'd bought a 2.55 when the urge first hit me - my investment would have doubled had I ever decided to sell it.

user1467738129 · 13/02/2017 20:21

Totally agree of you buy wisely you can always sell if you need to later, and enjoy using now!

user1467738129 · 13/02/2017 20:51

OP did you decide on a bag to buy?

EighthElement · 13/02/2017 20:57

I think you should buy a gorgeous bag and enjoy it all.. the looking, comparing, the choosing, the buying, all of it.
Ive never had ivf but when i left my x and got back on my feet financially i nearly bought myself a ring but lost my nerve.

Go for it!

NotAMammy · 13/02/2017 21:42

I'm not a great one for bags, I'd be convinced I'd forget it somewhere, even though I don't think I've ever lost a bag in my life.

I would, however, love this: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/238931417/3-in-1-leather-backpack-laptop-bag?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=3%20in%201%20backpack&ref=sr_gallery_16 but possibly in a brown or a beautiful mulburry colour?

With my extra circa £1k leftover I would buy a beautiful outfit to go with it. Or maybe even just the perfect coat and have a wonderful pair of black skinnies that fit me perfectly. Oooh, maybe a gorgeous pair of boots. Every day would have practical luxury in it.

Instead, I have just ordered this: www.asos.com/fiorelli/fiorelli-florence-minimal-backpack/prd/6710917?iid=6710917 and have now commenced the 'WHERE IS MY SHOPPING' period of impatience.

EighthElement · 13/02/2017 21:47

this makes your budget for a bag look very tight OP. This is what I nearly bought for myself years ago. It will soon be ten years since I left my abusive x. He attacked me as I walked out the door Obviously this has nothing to do with ivf, but I feel like I should mark the last decade and who knows, I might. either that or a burberry coat!

user1467738129 · 13/02/2017 21:50

When I have bought very expensive bags I like to use the straight away, and then use every day and not be too precious. It's like getting the first scratch on a new car, and expensive any things always looks better with a bit of wear! Lovely things are supposed to be enjoyed not worried over.
