And major Kiko Envy Dragon!

I went to &Other Stories yesterday and bought nothing.
But I wouldn't mind one of their lipsticks 🙈

MotherofPearl · 10/02/2017 18:43

Outstanding Frugal, finishing a lipstick is a big deal!
Another one envious of Dragon's haul.
I've just finished a Tisserand rose handcream. It was lovely and I'll repurchase as I'm having a bit of a rose fad at present.
Kwick, thinking of you.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 10/02/2017 20:25

kwick how are you? Hope you have friends and family close.

I'm away for a week at in-laws Confused.
MIL is developing dementia I think but DH and his sister are burying their heads. Among other things, she served us frozen peas and then accidentally set fire to tea towel on still-hot hob (DC thought amazing), forgot my job (it's an easy to remember one, which I've done for 10 years) and that DS goes to school. She's seen GP but I think covering up a lot so not getting much help and FIL not really engaging either. Lovely woman and I think she's terrified and aware of poor memory and unreliability. Will try to talk to DH about it but we live far away and he doesn't really want to think about it.
So I shall bury my head in my stash and hope to achieve some of my disciples!

Credit to frugal. Am madly applying lipstick to try to finish a very similar colour.

CantChoose · 11/02/2017 00:19

Oh kwick I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you're being well looked after by your nearest and dearest Flowers

dragon I swear by Redken too and use the oil every day. I love all soft but it makes my hair a bit fluffy if I use it too often. Unfortunately I confidently bought 1L of the ones for curls and hate, hate, hate it. I'm finally getting near the end! I'm thinking of trying kerastase but I find it hard to work out which does what...

On the empties front I've finished a travel size nuxe oil. I've used this a few times and been unimpressed but this bigger size had a few days use and I'm warming to it after a longer period of use. I've also finished a Mitchum deodorant. Not sure it counts as its an HG (!) for me - I've started a new one and still have 2 in the stash. AND I finished a mini nails inc polish this evening.

moogletea · 11/02/2017 11:40

Sorry to hear that @kwick. If you ever need an ear I'm around - I've also had recurrent miscarriages x

moogletea · 11/02/2017 11:42

Well done everyone - I'm totally impressed with finishing lipsticks @frugal
I've got about 5 different things that I'm nearly hit not quite finished 😀 just need to keep pushing on 😀😀😀

mowglik · 11/02/2017 12:31

Just checking in, and read kwicks news - so sorry to hear kwick, hope you are ok and getting lots of support. Flowers

I had a hit list of 16 products before valentines, and Ive managed to get through tons. Very happy with that, will slowly replace things with my HG products and hopefully buy less experimental stuff:

Collagen eye zone mask
Bare minerals skingevity serum
Bioessence sleep cream
Lacura luminous serum
Biore UV face milk - HG, have lots more of this!
John Frieda touchably full conditioner
Hada labo shirojyun - HG, need to replace
Miss Flower and mr honey cream
Bioessence advancer
Bioessence essence
Bioessence cream
Bioessence facial wash
Diprobase
Aldi advent calendar serums (finally!)
Lacura caviar mousse
Aveeno body lotion - have 2 more of these in the wings, HG body lotion

woodhill · 11/02/2017 12:38

I have finished a small size of Clinique facial serum today. Still loads of stuff to use up but have used several products since Christmas

CantChoose · 11/02/2017 15:48

Oh, I should probably confess that a succumbed to the m&s buy one get one free Korres shower gels. Oops.
I got the Santorini Vine which is my favourite and the Japanese Rose. I love them and I don't have much shower gel in the stash...

FreeButtonBee · 11/02/2017 16:30

Sob. I have just finished my miss flower and mr honey essence oil. I LOVE this stuff but it's quite pricey and I have to order from korea so I may experiment with something cheaper for a bit. I have dry skin so my skin just soaks up all the latitude I can throw at it. Any recs?

Whattodowithaminute · 11/02/2017 18:43

Sorry for your loss kwick

Full sized Ren Rose body cream finished today! First day of holidays with the children and have packed all samples to finish up, looking forward to it!

kwick · 11/02/2017 21:04

Thank you lovely ladies for so many warm wishes. I am ok if I keep distracted... but I know this grief will take time to pass.

Tomorrow I plan to do my roots using naturtint.

Wow cant do not think I have ever finished a nail polish! Well done!

moogle Flowers so so sad. Thank you.

What does HG mean please?

Impressive mow!!

free have you tried the Lush body conditioners? I am trying one at the moment which is very moisturising.

I may go and buy some "stuff" (aka beauty products) to try and cheer myself up tomorrow at independent shops over the road.

HG = Holy Grail. That elusive perfect item that ticks all the boxes and eliminates the need to search any further until they change the bloody formula

Glad to see you back kwick Flowers

kwick · 11/02/2017 21:50

Thanks mrsd Smile
I do not have any HG products... I mean I have products I like but still feel I am searching...

FiveShelties · 11/02/2017 21:54

kwick just popped in to check if you had posted and say I was thinking of you today. Good to see you here, look after yourself.

FrustratedFrugal · 12/02/2017 08:41

Kwick I am also very happy to see you here.

Sending you lots of virtual goodies

kwick · 12/02/2017 09:56

Too kind five and frustrated Flowers

This does all make me think though that life is short so you should spend it doing what you love. That used to be my job but not anymore... looking for my place... why oh why can't I be a YouTube beauty blogger with millions of subscribers and then have my own line with someone like Caudalie?

OP posts:
AnotherPinkiePieStory · 12/02/2017 11:03

kwick I'd totally subscribe to you! You're right. Life is short and sometimes tough. I'm trying to remember to be kind to myself as I'm struggling with a few persistent illnesses that I'm sure are hanging around because I'm not giving things chance to heal and recover. I'm on holiday this week so going to try to channel tips from you wonderful women and organise some home pampering. might even try to be like frustrated and get walking!

I'm trying to make a list of HG products and post. I'd be interested in yours too.
button I too love lush moisturiser but have you tried body shop oil of life? I'm loving that at the moment.

mowglik wow!

kwick · 12/02/2017 11:19

I have an empty: Lush Ro's Argan, body conditioner - it is an in shower cream. I liked the moisturising capability just did not like the scent.
Also I am about to use for the second time/use (same packet) a Garnier moisture bomb tissue mask - have a HUGE stash of these (on purpose as they were selling cheap and I love them).

Thanks Another maybe I should give it a whirl!

Here's an optimistic February selfie. No more dull brick reds, looking forward to sunny spring days wearing Yves Rocher Rouge Vif.

PinkiePie hoping that you will have a great time unwinding and Kwick yy to doing what you love!
