Hey all....not been online much, good to see everyone still getting on with it. Congrats on the pregnancy Ememe and fingers crossed for the scan kwick - hope all ok ladies.

Things with me utterly shite.....work is beyond horrible and so all consuming I cant quite get my head out of my ass to look for a new job. Been here over a decade so the fear factor at the thought of leaving is huge Sad And at home, TTC not going well as it would appear DH has performance anxiety in the important week, so generally I just want to crawl into a hole and stay there for 6 months and tell the whole word to just FOTTFSOF.

That aside, haven't bought anything toiletry/make-uppy for a few weeks except for trying out a few Perfume Parlour oils, which has been an interesting experiment. The best one I bought was the Dior Addict dupe...a few of the others, I do agree are along the right lines scentwise, then a couple I bought thinking I liked the original, then got them and realised I had obviously confused myself eg the supposed dupe of Jo Malone Peony Suede isn't what I thought it would be

Also finished a cheapy Boots shampoo and conditioner: the bargainous 75p a bottle apple scented stuff. I liked it and it did the job just fine as a basic, would repurchase in the future, particularly if funds were tight.

ememem84 · 08/02/2017 17:46

kwick my gp said to embrace the sickness (male gp who will never have to deal with it first hand...) as it means everything is healthy. am also a bit farty but am blaming the cat mostly

No other empties here.

badgers sorry things are rubbish. But well done on. It caving and buying new. That's totally what I do. I get sad and shop.

dogdaydisaster · 08/02/2017 18:32

Hi all. A few empties here. Liz Earle cleanse and polish in the rose scent- actually passed to DD as it's all she uses and she's run out. Didn't like the scent of that one. I also used up a tarte mascara- lights, camera lashes, which was ok but I prefer the tarteist one. And a brow gel which was from the US, and was a bit to wet feeling.

MotherofPearl · 08/02/2017 19:32

Gosh, it's been busy on here! Big congratulations on the pregnancy Ememem! As a veteran of two hyperemesis pregnancies and one with 'just morning sickness', I don't envy you feeling sick, you have all my sympathy.

Just one boring empty from me, a Boots sensitive eyes mascara. I have another in the stash but also have a Clarins lengthening one which looks more exciting, so have opted for that. Keen to go out and buy the Lancôme one that Dragon recommends on here, is it Hypnose? I have such miserable stubby lashes I really need all the help I can get.

Good luck for your scan Kwick, hope all is well.

kwick · 09/02/2017 06:06

Did I remember wrong or was one of you lovely ladies going to try the Pixi/Caroline Hirons double cleanse? Whats it like?

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 09/02/2017 08:15

kwick farts totally count! Thinking of you with scan today. Good luck.

em I remember the constant nausea. Ugh. The only thing that worked for me was ice cold drinks. Looked like a lunatic in winter but slushies weirdly worked for me!

badgers Flowers hope things improve soon. Sounds like a new job is def needed. TTC sounds fun but can be rough can't it?

So I might have spent £40 in boots while waiting for glasses BUT I bought my lunch too so fine right?

dogdaydisaster · 09/02/2017 11:01

I bought that quik. I used it a couple of times and have put it away for my summer holiday. I like it. The balm is very like the camomile body shop one, and the cream is very soft and smooth feeling. Face felt nice after using and make up all came off well.

kwick · 09/02/2017 11:18

Thanks dogday

I had my scan. Bad news I am afraid I have lost the baby. Very sad. Second time in less than a year.

FreeButtonBee · 09/02/2017 15:10

Oh kwick. How utterly shit. So sorry.

FreeButtonBee · 09/02/2017 15:13

I have used up a shampoo hotel sized. Think it's priya or something like that. It's from before DTs were borne - 4 years ago! Another one to use up and then I think the redken cleansing one mentioned above might be my holy grail. I have great expectations! I'm starting to run low on quite a few things but if I can hang in til April, my bank balance may have recovered from the general bashing its had for the past few months. And then I will start to buy strategically. Promise!!

MrsDilligaf · 09/02/2017 15:59

Oh Kwick Sad I am so very very sorry. Another one wishing I could give you a RL Hug. I wish there was something I could do.

Xxxx

Needastrongone · 09/02/2017 16:09

Oh Kwick. It's happened to me, same thing, discovered at the scan. I still have no words as we find our own ways of dealing with the grief. Be kind to yourself. Flowers

If you need us we'll we here Kwick BrewCake

I'm in hotel #2 of the week, in Geneva now. No where as luxurious as the Grand Hotel Les Endroits in La Chaux de Fonds (it had 7 saunas an indoor and outdoor pool and a salon, amazing food) I was in Sunday through Wednesday. (Only made it to sauna 1 evening due to long long days working)

I am now in the best western in Geneva (2 mins from train station and 7 minute train to airport) just saved us getting up in the middle of the night for tomorrow's flight.

Need to go sleep but wide awake!

ememem84 · 09/02/2017 21:25

kwick I'm so so sorry Flowers

I hope you're ok. Be kind to yourself x

DragonNoodleCake · 09/02/2017 21:26

This is where I buy my Redken from

www.terencepaulonline.com/brands/redken/redken-therapy

The 1000ml cleansing cream is showing out of stock just now.

I alternate between this - all soft - blonde idol and scalp relief. I use all soft argon oil every day. I love all Redken! Honestly I could be a sales rep, moved to it 4 years ago would never go back to other shampoo/conditioner/products now!

Free if you need a wee sample to try I can try empty another wee bottle to send you one!

DragonNoodleCake · 09/02/2017 21:29

I caved in kiko in Geneva this evening - oops

woodhill · 09/02/2017 21:30

So sorry Kwik Flowers that's so rotten.

No empties, have had a few fake lashes so not using much eye make up as they are very delicate and worried about ruining them.

Needastrongone · 09/02/2017 22:35

An empty. Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute (or something). Day cream 30ml. Lovely and I would purchase again, but have others to get through first. One on the list though and would be happy to recommend. Sinks in well and is moisturising enough to feel substantial enough to cope with winter weather, but sinks in easily and I can apply make up almost immediately.
