Hi katie and waxy come tell us your empties and we can all declutter together!
Thanks frustrated your compliment made my day! I'm staying at a friends so going to try to use up a few things tonight.
waxy do tell about hourglass and beauty box! I'm interested in both (eek!)
M&s advent calendar lovely today. Great brush which pleased me!

kwick · 12/12/2016 20:29

DragonNoodleCake · 12/12/2016 20:34

Tell us what you get kwick - you heading home tonight??

FrustratedFrugal · 12/12/2016 20:51

I've just experienced two mega underwhelming products -

Vichy Idealia sleeping mask - thick gluey goo that reeks of synthetic lilies and burnt plastic. Instant headache. For overnight use - you got to be kidding? I love Korean sleeping packs but this stuff is vile.

Garnier Moisture+ Soft moisturizer - another plasticky 'fresh' smell. I know this is a cheap supermarket line but I get no sensory pleasure whatsoever.

So glad that these are just samples from the DIY calendar - I would never be able to use up full size products.

MrsDilligaf · 12/12/2016 22:35

Oh dear...

I'm doing brilliantly at ploughing through my stash. However, I appear to be stockpiling stuff for Little Miss Dilligaf and Mr Dilligaf Confused

DH has posh smellies at Christmas, and DD likes posh stuff in her very frequent because she's a muck magnet baths and she has a v peachy little tushie thanks to Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter.

I have transferred my bad habits onto them!

FiveShelties · 12/12/2016 22:36

Congratulations Katie - welcome home!

Welcome Waxy - what a fantastic idea with the calendar - just brilliant.

kwick · 13/12/2016 06:59

dragon I am not back until tomorrow night... I thought this trip would be "easy" but for some reason I feel really unsettled and does not help that I am not feeling that great (probably hormones I am injecting for fertiity treatment).

I can report an empty:
50ml Liz Earle instant boost skin tonic... not impressed at all

mrs well they do say "sharing is caring"...

WaxyBean · 13/12/2016 07:27

Hello all thank your the welcome!

Have thrown away a small bottle of white rabbit lime and coconut cleansing water this morning - used for the first time last night and it smells like paint stripper. I have too many beautiful products to use one I actively dislike.

FreeButtonBee · 13/12/2016 09:58

Finished Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturising Cream. This was quite nice but not £24 for 50ml nice. Now trying Cerave Pm Moisturising Lotion which is around 12 quid for 250ml! It's very light. Might be better suited for summer I think. Will give it a week or two to see if it is enough for winter, I've layered it over a serum and an oil this morning so that might give it enough oomph. I have enough sleep masks and packs to keep me going for night time so it will just be finding the balance for day time I think.

frustrated I was very underwhelmed by the Vichy Idealia Moisturiser - the smell! I agree. Was delighted to get to the end of that one.

dogdaydisaster · 13/12/2016 11:35

I used the advent calendar dry body oil by decelor up this morning. Again, as with everything from the decleor line, this was really nice.

Have a good day everyone. Staff Christmas lunch today, really not too excited (bah humbug).

I'm done in - feel so ill. I have a spa weekend this weekend and I'm throwing up for Britain

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 13/12/2016 19:53

Oh no dragon get well soon. Flowers

Next year I'm def making my own advent calendar next year but I am weak willed when it comes to cute little samples. Argh.

katie I remember needing goals during the crazy new baby days otherwise I went crazy. Using up stuff sounds perfect.

I carried on with #redtillxmas and was told I looked 'together' at work!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 13/12/2016 19:54

And red polo neck too!

DragonNoodleCake · 13/12/2016 20:04

Pinkie - it looks aceness!!

dogdaydisaster · 13/12/2016 22:50

I wish I couldn't pull off a red lip but I still haven't found one that doesn't give me yellow teeth.

Dragon, feel better soon.

Used up a Nars mascara today which wasn't great, very clumpy. Think I'm close to finishing a concealer too, so make up for once which is rare for me.

Off to bed with my book, night all.

I'm going to have to ditch the cheapo Pixi Glow dupe from superdrug. It has broken me out on my cheeks in small red inflamed marks. Everything else I've used in the past week has stayed the same (other than the cerave moisturiser) so it must be the culprit. No great loss as I really didn't like the smell. I think I will bin it - the first item that I have done that with since I started this challenge. That's quite good. everything else has been used up in some way.

I am also not loving the l'occitane lavender hand cream. Not a patch on my usual shea butter version. I will persevere until Christmas and then use it up as foot cream.

kwick · 14/12/2016 16:06

You poor thing button Flowerswhich brand was it?

On my flight back... 3 advent gifts await me!!!

OP posts:
FrustratedFrugal · 14/12/2016 16:15

Awful stuff ButtonBee!

I got two gigantic whiteheads from the Vichy Idealia stuff

PinkiePie red lippy really suits you! Fab color! More lip envy...

Dogday I get yellow teeth with warm and orangey reds but blue toned reds have instant teeth brightening properties. NYX Bloody Mary for example.

WaxyBean the paint stripper comment made me chuckle. I had coconut pudding for dessert at work yesterday - it had the smell and consistency of body butter Confused

Kwick I used to travel a lot for work and remember the weird emotinally instable sad-exhausted states way too well. I like new people and places but at some point it's simply too much. Even without extra hormones. Hope you had a safe trip home and a joyful reunion with your advent goodies Xmas Wink

I'm a bit overworked and overtired on an emotional rollercoaster - my moods go up and down. It has been an exceptionally stressful year and I need a good rest. One more week...

I've fallen in love with Nars Jungle Red. Just right for the season!

FreeButtonBee · 14/12/2016 17:04

kwick it was a brand called freedom [http://www.superdrug.com/Freedom/Freedom-Pro-Studio-Glycolic-Radiance-Tonic/p/566205 this one]

So avoid!

kwick · 14/12/2016 19:12

You summed it up perfectly frustrated I am DONE! My job needs to be a different one very soon!!!

Thanks freebutton Grin

Am waiting for Heathrow Express... still at least an hour to go until I get home.

Another empty! Philip Kingsley scalp tonic. I used to use this loads but managed to get my scalp under control with the PK itchy flaky scalp shampoo so haven't bothered with the toner. But it's actually quite nice to put on before bed and give my scalp a bit of a massage. I think I have another one somewhere so will try to use it more regularly on nights when I know I will wash hair in the morning.

kwick · 15/12/2016 07:21

free does that tonic help with greasy hair? I am close to desperation about mine!

So all advent calendar gifts are usable!!! Yipee!!! can you believe that actually once home I forgot to open them out???-
