Frugal only 1 23kg bag Grin ?

FiveShelties · 18/12/2016 10:54

I used to live in Bicester, left in 2003 when we emigrated. Now in Lancashire until around April, then back to NZ. Then I am never moving again!

StrawberryandCreamPips · 18/12/2016 11:32

kwick I'm in Austria.

Enjoy the last week before Xmas everyone - looking like a crazy one for me, plenty of work still to finish and haven't got all my shopping, wrapping and posting done yet either!

FrustratedFrugal · 18/12/2016 11:53

#redtilxmas - Yves Rocher Grand Rouge in action

Well almost ready to go - bags are packed and heading off this afternoon. Am actually so tired and drained at this point I'm not even that excited but I reckon once I get to airport and through security I will start to feel it!

Have just finished off a Benefit Bad Gal Lash mini mascara...struggling to get much out of it and it's been open a long time so reckon it's dead. Hope to work through a few other things this week....probably depends on if the hotel toiletries are nice ☺

Going for a bit of a digital detox over next few days so probably won't be online much, hope everyone has a nice, stress free run in to Christmas!

kwick · 18/12/2016 12:15

mrs I was born in a little village near you - Brill. My grandparents moved there just before I came into the world. Grin

Great look frustrated

Enjoy your trip badgers!

I'm not too far from Edinburgh either. We should meet up and swap unloved items.

MrsDilligaf · 18/12/2016 15:22

Baby D and I are having a PJ day today as she has a cold. She's v clingy so instead of brushing my hair I've let her pull it (a mothers love knows no bounds) instead of slapping on the moisturiser I've let her wipe her Snotty McSnotface all over my cheeks (how does something so small produce so much snot? HOW? There's gallons of it!!)

In preparation for the festivities I have bought a hair colour and am toying with the idea of glamming up my nails.

I've had to forgive DH for being a useless numpty because he came in yesterday with 6 bottles of prosecco Grin

FrustratedFrugal · 18/12/2016 17:23

Happy travels everyone!
MrsD

I was feeling pretty much the same about Mr FF yesterday. But today he has set up Christmas lights, cooked lunch, done the big food shop, bought presents and picked up children from my parents. So all is forgiven.

I did a bad, bad thing. I walked past Yves Rocher literally 15 minutes before they closed shop forever. I bought 4 Grand Rouges at 4€ each. They are stunning and their formula is among the best I've experienced. Currently wearing the flame red Corail Incandescent - Lady Danger's kind, gentle, easy to wear little sister.

kwick · 18/12/2016 18:16

frustrated I think you did a good thing... you would have only regretted it if you had not had that last fix... I am still curious as to where you are...maybe I missed you saying Hmm

My mum's Revlon foundation has split so as I have had so much luck with my Kiko foundation we are going to brave central London to get her some and I may have a splurge too

OP posts:
MrsDilligaf · 18/12/2016 19:12

Central London? Just before Christmas?? Are you quite mad???

You're braver than me Kwick

I'm going to go and pour myself a large glass of wine. I don't often drink on a Sunday night but I need one today!

FrustratedFrugal · 18/12/2016 19:35

MrsD WineWink

Thanks Kwick - I'm somewhere in the Nordics about 5 latitudes north of Edinburgh. We have snow. Santa Claus lives on our street, I saw him in the corner shop last week. His beard is real! He wore a gray sweatshirt, red board shorts and bought a six pack of Diet Coke Wink

I love Kiko but at this time of the year...

Advent update: I have washed my face with Missha foaming cleanser and have applied a Tony Moly Tomatox Massage Pack. Waiting for miracles to happen...

applesandpears33 · 18/12/2016 21:04

I've decided upon a new year resolution - I am going to wear make up much more often and mascara most days. I don't think I've ever finished a mascara and have about 7 that I have received with gift sets. I'll probably have to give up when the hay fever season starts but should have a good few months before then to try and use stuff up. I'm quite enjoying looking a little bit smarter.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 19/12/2016 09:51

Yay I'm just outside edinburgh too! dragon, apple we could meet at space nk and then take Harvey Nichols! mrs tea always on offer and frustrated bring your bags!
kwick did you survive?

badgers have a fab trip and great xmas.
Say hi to santa for me frustrated. We saw him in Copenhagen yesterday and he was in fine form! Thankfully not in shorts though!
mrs hope wee one is better. I'm also in snot fest but still trying #redtillxmas. Well brownish red today!

MrsDilligaf · 19/12/2016 10:19

Well it seems like a trip to Edinburgh is on the cards!!

I'll meet you under the Monument at 12...I'll be wearing red lipstick and looking unspeakably glamorous Grin

Finished a L'Oréal hairspray handbag sized. Nearly finished a Lee Stafford shine spray also handbag size. Both from the days before children when I went on mini breaks and holidayed in glam hotels.

DragonNoodleCake · 19/12/2016 12:32

Finished a bog standard senses shower gel this morning!!

dogdaydisaster · 19/12/2016 14:58

Gosh this thread has been busy! Great work everyone. I'm another Southerner here, NW London suburbs. In fact if Mrs D drove into London she'd pretty much pass me by. We have Scotland connections as well and will end up in Glasgow in a few years (or sooner if dh doesn't land a job in 2017!! Xmas Confused).

I've used up a few empties. A shampoo travel size that came from my Look Fantastic advent calendar, think it was Wella. Nice enough, but nothing special.

Zelens 3t complex -this was a pretty straighforward moisturiser sample that I got somewhere or other. Cult Beauty freebie maybe. Didn't notice anything extraordinary for it being Zelens.

I also will chuck a lipstick. One of the rouge velvet ones by Bourjois, in a pinky neutral. I am going through all my lipsticks one at a time to see whether I really like them. I love the formula of these, but the shade looked a bit off when I saw it mid morning so it's going.

MrsDilligaf · 19/12/2016 15:52

Oooh Dogday I'll be nipping in for a cuppa with you too!

kwick · 19/12/2016 16:56

mrs will most likely be after Christmas... but yes I am mad as a hatter! kwick desperately hopes there will be a sale on in kiko

First day of holiday has been non-stop: thames water (twice), plumber, sky engineer, painter, 2 work calls and about 50 emails... hope it quietens down soon: I NEED A BREAK!

FrustratedFrugal · 19/12/2016 17:47

Kwick sales at Kiko are great - I hoarded 1€ nail polishes last summer. At least one of them, the quick-dry cranberry red I am wearing right now, is superb quality. I'm a week into it and no chipping.

MrsD I will join the first bunch of glamorous red lipstick wearing ladies in Edinburgh... If you see someone with way too much luggage, that will be me. I was in Copenhagen about a month ago and someone whom I hed never met before was there to pick me up at a busy metro station. She texted me her specifics and and I texted her that I was wearing a rose - meant a rose pattern scarf but hit send too fast

FrustratedFrugal · 19/12/2016 18:05

I finished a mascara today! A never ending Sensai 38. I used it until it totally dried up. A tubing mascara, very hard to remove but I grew to like it. Might eventually repurchase but the next one will be a Boots Gold tubing mascara.

I haven't really focused on my New Year list but so far 4/10 are gone!

Last night's Tony Moly Tomatox massage pack was fab - I had zero expectations but my skin looked so good afterwards that I considered skipping makeup altogether.

Today's advent treat: a Mizon eye sleeping pack

#redtilxmas: Yves Rocher Rouge Vif, a stunning pure red 💋💄❤️👍🏻

I'm lost Frugal there's been so many convo's did you say you were in Edinburgh and just visited Copenhagen or do you live there?

I've just sat down on the couch before putting the 5yo DD2 to bed....bad move, can't get up now.
