Sorry but can I ask how you remove hair "down there"?

Firstly I'd like to apologise if this is tmi or inappropriate...I hope it's not.

I'm really fighting a losing battle with this one.

I like to stay completely clean down there, like after a Brazilian, but waxing just hurts to much and I don't like having to go to a salon.

Shaving is easier but it grows back too quickly and I get inflamed hair sacks so get lots of red spots....not the look I'm after.

What magic tricks am I missing? Surely there's an easy, pain free method of getting smooth without the pain?

Your 'smooth' comment was pages back. Might seem a bit surprising but I have better things to do than keep some kind of tally over who is smooth, a little bit smooth and who is not.

I'm sat here with hairy armpits, hairy legs, and a bush.

DH loves me regardless, he's very hairy, I don't expect him to shave.

I don't ask him to shave, I asked him to trim a bit. once. Once in four years because I kept getting stray hairs in my mouth. I don't think that is overly horrifying tbh.

Just to add I'm also not hairless. I don't think anyone is. Hair is everywhere on our bodies.

Well Dp does the same and I don't find it horrifying....

Anyone would think we were talking full hairless back.... sack and craic with a revolving bow tied around the and a few diamantes shimmering to boot....Confused

I accept it's only once a month but when you bleed for a minimum of 7 days and can't for various reason use tampons then it gets grim - no matter if I shower daily.
Tbh, I'm personally not very sweaty down there but I'm not in typical places like underarms and feet neither.

I don't believe anyone is pressured - I certainly have never felt any either from the porn industry nor from any partners. I do it for me. I've done it since I was 17 (I'm now almost 37). If I had my way I'd take the lot off completely but the person who I share it with doesn't really like the totally bald look so I keep some as a compromise.
As for him, he is very hairy and will, say every 3 months, have a trim of his pubic region.

carbe I used to wear sanitary towels as much as possible and it was much harder to get clean when blood was stuck in the hair.

I don't go hairless on front ( tidy triangle) but prefer to be hairless underneath.

You may not have watched porn, but you certainly didn't just come up with the idea yourself.
Never watched porn? I'd never even heard of porn! I had never heard of anyone shaving their pubic hair when I first did it. The only naked woman I had ever seen was my mum, and she was hairy and comfortable with her body.
Porn had absolutely no influence whatsoever on my decision to start shaving my pubes back in the early 80s!

Women who remove their pubic hair have truly internalised the narrative that the vagina is evil/other/dangerous and must be punished (quite literally: hot wax on a place with so many nerve endings??) with expensive, time consuming, painful punishments to render it sexless, childlike, unthreatening and inhuman.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. That has to be the biggest load of shit I have read in a long time.
I love my vagina, it is very sexy, with and without hair, but I prefer it without. I have never used wax or any painful, expensive or particularly time-consuming treatments on it, and when I do spend time on it, it's because I love it - it feels sensational!

It is isn't it Meglet I could shower two or three times daily but within an hour or two of getting out the blood is back there. Keeping it shaved or even hair to a minimum really really sorts it out.

Actually this is somewhat random but I don't really like my public hair- the actual hair. It's very course, tough and strong- like horses hair. Sometimes when you get soft regrowth it's nice to run your fingers through it but when it gets long it's a horrible texture.

I dye te hair on my head which has gone completely grey and now also has a very similar texture which i dislike (and is the reason I dye it, I like the colour grey)

This is no comment on the existance or not of pubes, maybe other woman have nice soft hair but just wanted to point out some women may not like their own hair for reasons other than the way it looks. On the odd occasions I have used San towels I have disliked the situation described above where blood dries into the hard straw like hairs, makes the texture worse.

Personally, neatly trimmed is the way to go. No nasty spots or pain, no cost. No hair looks weird.

I've been told that mine is lovely and soft Feck so maybe that is its saving grace Grin
On the topic of STs - if anyone cares- I have found that Always are excellent because the top cover doesn't get wet at all but absorbs really well. I used to have the sticky tangled mess as a young teen using those huge Dr Whites pads that had a kind of gauze cover.

I use hot wax on the underneath bit and sides, and trim the front.

I do this because I prefer how it feels when smooth.

I feel cleaner.

I think it's easier to clean the area.

It feels nice to touch (both when I touch it myself or when DP touches me.

Sex feels better, more sensory or something, I can feel more.

Oral sex feels a lot, LOT better.

Underwear feels more comfortable.

It feels nicer on the bedsheets.

It's easier to clean up after sex.

I much prefer it.

It does not affect anyone but me (doubt DP has any opinion on it).

DP shaves his beard a few times per week. His call. I don't think it makes his face look like it did when he was 10. I really don't see why it's different???

Skater it absolutely does not. What I choose to do with my fanjo will have zero impact on you, or your daughter. Neither of you will ever see my fanjo. Nobody will know bar me and DP.

FFs! it's going from crazy to absolutely ridiculous now.
Skater - How the hell does a woman who chooses to remove and/or trim her pubic hair affect you or your daughter or indeed any female for that matter.
That has to be THE over exaggeration of the whole thread.
