Have name changed.

How old do I look? Please be honest. I know I have a fat face :( I am having hair cut on Saturday. Feel like I look frumpy. WDYT? What would you do? My hair is naturally straight.

That looks much more flattering and youthful!

I guessed you as 30s, lower end. Good complexion

mammuzzamia · 12/02/2015 02:05

I was almost right at 30. I wouldn't have guessed more than 32.

mcgilly · 12/02/2015 03:28

Early 30s, pretty, lovely skin and coloring.
The jumper is the only ageing feature I can see!

mcgilly · 12/02/2015 03:30

Play up those eyes ... They are gorgeous.

AgathaF · 12/02/2015 08:25

That looks lovely, the fringe really suits you now. I think growing the length down a bit would be great too.

Lndnmummy · 12/02/2015 08:51

You have gorgeous skin!! And look alot younger than me - im 36

Lndnmummy · 12/02/2015 08:54

PenygquinShock, are you for real?!
Second the specsavers suggestion.

couldhavebeenrachel · 12/02/2015 09:35

Your new hair style looks fabulous. I really like it. You have a lovely face. I think your glasses are not flattering your face as much as they could be. They're not far off, but something a little less wide with a bit of an angle up on the far bottom corners might look even better.

I was going to guess mid-late 20's, before I saw your post.

Your skin is lovely and you have a pretty smiley open face which I think very much adds to your youthful appearance.

Your current hairstyle does accentuate the roundness of your face so if that bothers you you might wish to change it a bit? I wouldn't go pixie but just more volume in what you have and soften / shorten the fringe a bit?

Well done on the weight loss (I'm about to start that journey).

PeaceOfWildThings · 12/02/2015 10:22

You look bloody gorgeous in that last picture! Hair is just right. The second picture does make you look young - about 18! It's a curse to look younger than you are, ime. (Not that I do anymore!)

DopeyDawg · 12/02/2015 10:24

Sorry, x post.

Yea! new haircut lovely!
Can see more of your pretty face now.
Hopefully, more people will 'place' you late 20's/early 30's now, which is as it should be Grin

LeoandBoosmum · 12/02/2015 11:39

I know how old you are now, but my guess before I knew was 28 :)

You have a round face so I would actually rec growing your hair (keeping the same style) and adding a few subtle highlights and a longish side swept fringe.

LeoandBoosmum · 12/02/2015 11:49

Penygquin... How rude! And, no way does this lady look in her 50s. Take no notice, OP.

Cocolepew · 12/02/2015 13:02

Really nice, your hair looks in great condition.

bryonyelf · 12/02/2015 13:30

Just be careful when growing your fringe out - I tried but my hair scratched my lenses on my glasses so badly they needed replaced. I have a shocking prescription and it cost me £200!

Pengyquin · 12/02/2015 14:02

She asked how old people thought she was! I thought she was in her 50's Hmm My mum is and looks like this!

She certainly doesn't look 20 something to me - at all. Her hair is lovely though, as I said!!!

Just being honest. Is honest not allowed anymore? And why is it so bad to look 50 mores to the point?????!!! What are people saying - looking anything other than 20 is bad?

MrsNelsonsColumn · 12/02/2015 14:13

The overall look- hair, glasses and weight- do add years. Unfortunately, weight around the face tends to be ageing no matter how smooth or unlined the skin is. But the OP is addressing that and it should help. OP I think you need to let your hair grow down a bit too as that will slim your face and have glasses that are less 'severe'.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/02/2015 14:13

New haircut is fab! Grin Really suits you.

And as a previous poster said - You do resemble Sarah Milican in the last photo and she always looks lovely. Very friendly and approachable.

Very well done on your weight loss too. You should be very proud of yourself! New hair and all the new clothes you're going to have to buy as the lbs drop off and you'll be a glamourpuss before the year's out!

Pengyquin · 12/02/2015 14:18

Here you go. Jennifer Aniston. FOURTY SIX! Yes sure the OP looks 20+ years younger Confused

But omg, we're not allowed to say people look older than 20 something Hmm

I actually love the glasses. i like a strong pair of frames. But I do agree with MrsNelson - longer hair is more flattering for most people.

How old do I look? What should I do with my hair?
AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/02/2015 14:30

Pengy - Please stop trying to defend your unpleasant post by asking if we're not allowed to say someone looks older than twenty something.

I'm forty and I look it and that's fine.

Jennifer Aniston looks fab but she's not your average woman on the street is she? Do you have a fleet of cosmetic surgeons, skin specialists, make up artists, spray tanners, hair stylists, wardrobe assistants, lighting advisors, etc visit or advise you on an almost daily basis? I don't and I doubt the OP does so please don't pit the OP against Jennifer Aniston as it's not a fair comparison as JA has a lot of help.

Florabeebaby · 12/02/2015 14:45

OP, ignore the poster above with the silly celeb pic!! Everyone will look older than Jennifer Aniston....

The side fringe looks fab and you look amazing. Also, can I just say...3.5 stone!! You are a superhero (I'm on a diet at the mo and struggling)

Pengyquin · 12/02/2015 14:51

Oh for god's sake!

She doesn't look 20 in my opinion. That's not being rude. That's what I think.

I didn't say she looked bad! I just said she didn't look young. My post was honest. Not unpleasant.

Maidmarigold · 12/02/2015 14:52

Your new hair looks really lovely. Well done on the weight loss, that is an amazing amount to have lost. I do think being overweight in your twenties and early thirties makes people look older than they are but that sort of reverses when they are older.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/02/2015 15:04

But you didn't leave it at "The OP doesn't look young."

You said you could have sworn she was in her fifties! You knew at that point that the OP was thirty and yet you felt the need to add that?

Mean and unnecessary.
