Have name changed.

How old do I look? Please be honest. I know I have a fat face :( I am having hair cut on Saturday. Feel like I look frumpy. WDYT? What would you do? My hair is naturally straight.

Get the hairdresser to add more texture and maybe some colour to it.

I hate to be brutal but it looks like lego hair currently.

You have a lovely smiley face, with good skin. Open it up a bit.

SkilledatSkiving · 04/02/2015 20:50

I would say 40-45?

SwedishEdith · 04/02/2015 20:50

Late 30s. I'd go longer, not too much but shoulder length.

hmc · 04/02/2015 20:51

Having seen that photo (which is more of a close up) I am revising my previous guess to early 30's!

SkilledatSkiving · 04/02/2015 20:52

I think you need to go a bit longer and lose the major fringe - have a more sweepy one.

bobinks · 04/02/2015 20:54

I think softer shaped fringe and side parting would be lovely, and slightly longer length with some long layers if you have the patience to grow it. I have a high forehead and was self conscious of this for years, but honestly no one really notices so stop worrying about that!

I think you suit a fringe but it is cut too wide. You need a more fashionable fringe that doesn't go so far around but is softened in much narrower. And more fashionable glasses. (Glasses Direct.com is a good place to go and get high end brands like Jil Sander and D&G in the sale)

Are your ears pierced? Wear earrings!

zoemaguire · 04/02/2015 20:56

I'd say late 20s. Definitely not 40s!

Dimplesandall · 04/02/2015 20:58

35-40
Great hair condition
Great skin

Agree with others, softer longer style and less heavy fringe would be so much more flattering
Make the most of that lovely hair, grow it!

andsmile · 04/02/2015 20:59

yeah 30ish

Im having a similar dilemma - I have an oval face, Ive lost a little weight from it but I still couldnt carry off a pixie cut.

Im going for a shorter bob (currently long) and haveing it fully 'stacked' at the back - lots of layers up, sides to slant forwards.

I reckon you'd suit this with a feather fring to side slightly with some choppy layers throught it. Have you throught about some colour for texture to lift it a bit?

I hope it is ok to say - how about some slightly smaller square framers in a brighter colour for a bit more of an edge? Plus let your brows speak and frame your face.

After your haircut go get a make up consult done - you may need a stronger look or different colours depending on what you get done.

HTH - you are an attractive women btw (non flirty compliment!)

helzapoppin2 · 04/02/2015 20:59

You look nice. The length suits you. As a change, you could try a side parting, fringe cut so it goes to side, and is less heavy. A few lighter highlights.
As a further makeover you could try slightly more angular specs, but not too square.

Patatas · 04/02/2015 20:59

Early 30's, something softer with layers and break the colour up a bit. You have a lovely smiley face, which is hidden a bit with your current style.

emsyj · 04/02/2015 21:00

I can't guess how old you are, I'm rubbish at that stuff. I think your hair is nice as it is, I would leave the hairdo and get new specs! Not sure what it is about the glasses but they do look frumpy even though they aren't necessarily a frumpy style.

tomandizzymum · 04/02/2015 21:03

Early 30's, I agree with the pixie cut that scarletforya posted, more volume will make your face look thinner.

Momagain1 · 04/02/2015 21:03

I would guess 30-ish. The haircut is very little girl though, despite that, it is so very practical that it is aging. i think something like the one TSSDNCOP posted is the way to go. A bit more dramatic.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 04/02/2015 21:03

I'm big too and I look older than I actually am because of it. Facially you don't look 40's, you have great skin, no wrinkles, I think you're early 30's, like me.

The hair does you no favours, though it looks shiny and well looked after, I would go long, and if not loser hefting then definitely side sweep it. You need long vertical lines to elongate your face, blunt fringes shorten it and make it rounder.

Pixie cut? I wouldn't. It'd be a mistake, you can't stick it back on again. Try on a wig or two. Smile

Greengardenpixie · 04/02/2015 21:04

The style is all wrong for your face shape. Its too round. You have a round face and the style just accentuates it. The fringe is too heavy as are the glasses.
You need something like this:

cdn.sheknows.com/articles/2012/01/round-face-hair-kelly-clarkson.jpg

It will lift your whole face. Cannot believe people are saying you should leave it.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 04/02/2015 21:04

  • if not lose the fringe then side sweep it.

I didn't write loser hefting, thanks autocorrect Hmm

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 04/02/2015 21:05

Agree with green garden pixie! That would look nice.

linalool · 04/02/2015 21:08

30? I agree you need a side fringe.

CurlyWurlyCake · 04/02/2015 21:08

Early 30s

No idea about hair mines a mess so can't comment

Bunbaker · 04/02/2015 21:09

I agree with Greengardenpixie. The hair style she has linked to is far more flattering for your face shape.

You have lovely skin and a beautiful smile. Your hairstyle hides too much of your face.

Cocolepew · 04/02/2015 21:09

I would go for a side parting and a sweeping fringe and layers for texture.
