Have name changed.

How old do I look? Please be honest. I know I have a fat face :( I am having hair cut on Saturday. Feel like I look frumpy. WDYT? What would you do? My hair is naturally straight.

Oh, and get yourself some texturising dust and sprinkle it into your hair and then mess it up with your fingers. Will give you volume with v little effort.

linalool · 05/02/2015 11:33

That is much better. You look even younger like that!

squoosh · 05/02/2015 11:46

Side fringe is miles better, the blunt fringe made it look a bit like Lego hair.

Zipporah · 05/02/2015 11:48

First of all you have a really lovely smile. I'm terrible at guessing ages for caucasian's but I'm guessing 43-45.

Patatas · 05/02/2015 11:50

Wow what a difference just a side fringe has made, looks great. You're really brave for doing this by the way, full of admiration.

Floralnomad · 05/02/2015 11:52

That looks much better , really makes your face look thinner .

BuzzardBird · 05/02/2015 11:53

Zipporah She is 30 and actually looks good for her age.

I like the side swept fringe, a little more body would look great.

Zipporah · 05/02/2015 11:56

oh i didn't know OP had revealed her age Blush, sorry and didn't mean to offend.

FluffyTheEvilOne · 05/02/2015 11:56

I love the side fringe on you; I also have quite a round face and it's much more flattering than a blunt fringe.

Before your age reveal I first guessed at mid thirties, but revised it down to late twenties with the second picture, which makes you look a lot younger.

Get some layers cut in, or I agree with a pp that a pixie crop would suit you, if you're feeling brave! Basically, single length cuts don't flatter round faces.

Penguinsaresmall · 05/02/2015 11:59

I am rubbish at age-guessing. 30 something?

Your hair is not doing much for your face shape, ie round face, round hair (I can say that without being rude as I also have a round face Grin).

So I would not take much off the length, overall, but would definitely jazz it up a bit with some choppy layers to frame your face better - ie

squoosh · 05/02/2015 12:00

I wouldn't go for a pixie cut, I'd keep the basic shape you have now but invest in some good volumising products.

juneau · 05/02/2015 12:02

I'm going to guess you're younger than me, because you don't look like you have many lines! So I'll go for 35. But that haircut definitely needs to go and I would also bin the jumper.

squoosh · 05/02/2015 12:02

She's 30.

polyhymnia · 05/02/2015 12:09

Just to second trying contacts. They transformed my self confidence as a chubby teen. I now switch between those and my glasses which I love too now that fashionable and stylish frames are so easy to find.

A PP said your hair was well cut because it's 'tidy' . I think one key to a modern haircut is precisely avoiding too much tidiness which can now be very aging. Obviously it does depend on your job and in many too much funkiness wouldn't be appropriate but some degree of choppiness will update and lighten your look IMO.

Jumblebee · 05/02/2015 12:19

When I first saw your picture I thought mid to late thirties, seeing the picture with your fringe to the side makes you look SO much younger, it really suits you and I would say you actually look younger than 30!

Well done on losing 3.5 stone, that is amazing Grin would you mind me asking how you did it? I need a major kick up the derrière!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 05/02/2015 12:25

STOP THE GUESSING (and backpeddalling)

Grin

She's 30. Probably off crying into a bottle of gin after some of these guesses (although it's inevitable to get a wide/horrifying range of guesses on such a post. You're braver than most, op but it wasn't a great idea)

Well done on the weightloss! Keep it up x

WipsGlitter · 05/02/2015 12:25

The side fringe is much better, less blocky. I wound so not go for a pixie cut, I think one needs a pixie-esque face and frame to be able to carry them off well. I'd try and grow it a bit more and then get some layers cut in and maybe some lowlights.

Great job on the weight loss.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 05/02/2015 12:28

Definitely not a pixie crop, I don't think it would suit you at all (or anyone who is not 22 and stunningly beautiful Imo).

Side fringe looks good. I know you said you don't want it long, but I think a couple of inches longer would look better and frame your face well.

squoosh · 05/02/2015 12:33

Keep the side fringe
Let it grow a couple of inches
Volumise

polyhymnia · 05/02/2015 12:34

I certainly think hair needs to be either a little longer or shorter than at present.

AgathaF · 05/02/2015 12:45

Side fringe is a huge improvement. You need to grow some of the bulk of your fringe out though, but this will be easier if you have some layers put through the rest of your hair anyway.

Cocolepew · 05/02/2015 12:53

The side fringe I such beter. I agree with poly, you either need to from or cut your hair a bit shorter. You could have a long sweeping fringe but shorter at the sides and back.
Well done on your weight loss, Im jealous.
