Have name changed.

How old do I look? Please be honest. I know I have a fat face :( I am having hair cut on Saturday. Feel like I look frumpy. WDYT? What would you do? My hair is naturally straight.

I also have a high forehead (it's a sign of great intelligence don't you know!) but have never had a fringe as it would have to come from too far back on my head if that makes sense, so a fringe isn't a must just because you have a high forehead.

I think you look as though you're in your mid 30s. Hope that's not too far off the mark as to cause offence.

If I was you I would go for a side parting with a graduated cut around your face - not quite a fringe.

Let us know what you decide!

Just saw your latest pic! Looks fab!

LeoandBoosmum · 12/02/2015 15:20

Pengyquin,

The OP had already disclosed her age when you made your comment. You said you couldn't believe she was thirty and looked in her 50s - that was just plain rude and unnecessary. And, it's not bad to look 50 if you're 50 or close to it ... I suppose you'd be pleased with somebody putting your age at 20 years older AFTER you'd disclosed your age to them?
And, how many of us look like Jennifer Aniston, whatever our age! Jennifer Aniston probably doesn't look like that when she's off duty (despite her access to endless funds, personal trainers, chefs, stylists, hairdressers, latest beauty treatments and products!)
OP: well done on your weight loss :) I think your hair looks great (nice colour and condition) but I'd get it to shoulder length as you have a round face...it'd be so flattering on you. I do think the glasses are too heavy for your face, I think you'd suit half-frames or rimless. I also echo the comments of those who say you have lovely skin, you do! :)

I am Grin at pengyquin tbh as I know I don't look 50! And comparing me to Jennifer Aniston - how ridiculous.

Thank you for the nice comments about my hair :)

And it's bollocks that the op doesn't look 20 years younger than Jennifer Anniston, she clearly does, you only have to compare their complexions (hate that word!) to see that op is clearly much younger!

Nextwednesday · 12/02/2015 16:20

I don't know anyone who would compare favourably to Jennifer Anniston. So that is a plain stupid comparison.

Jenda · 12/02/2015 16:25

Lovely hair OP! Can I ask what foundation you use, your skin looks lovely.

Jennifer Aniston is a freak of nature- comparisons are ridiculous!

I'm trying to lose weight too, its a tough slog. How are you doing it?

EarSlaps · 12/02/2015 16:52

Hair looks much nicer, but I would echo what others have said about adding some texture. Highlights could help with that, or a few more layers. You have lovely shiny, swishy hair (I am jealous as I have dry rebellious hair!), but a downside of that is that it can be a bit 'helmet hair' sometimes.

zippyswife · 12/02/2015 18:23

The side fringe suits you so much more. I have also just gone from a full blunt fringe to a side one too. Definitely softens the face. I like it.

You have lovely fresh soft and unlined skin. So to me you look in your late 20s.

Took a lot of guts putting your face on here to be critiqued. So good on you for that too!

Don't lose too much weight. I'm in my late 30s and my friends who are a bit heavier look so much younger now than me or any of my skinnier friends.

LeoandBoosmum · 12/02/2015 18:50

oldladyhair (though I want to rename you youngladyhair :)

I'm glad you were able to laugh at the 50 thing! I mean, 50, as if?!! You clearly do not look 50 in either the before or after pics!

I think there are very few women here who would compare to Jennifer Aniston (including me) so you're not alone in that... Also, as lovely as JA is, I'll bet that the majority of images that are released for press purposes are vetted and photoshopped :)
