I bought a couple of cowl neck tops from H&M when I was first diagnosed. About £7 each in black and damson. Lovely. Don't suit me at all, sadly. Grin

ItIsntJustAPhase · 16/02/2015 07:39

And thanks for your opinions on the dresses, I will have another go today. I always wonder whether there is any point buying a dress if I will always wear it more like a skirt, with a top/jumper over the top. Hmm

QueenCardigan · 16/02/2015 09:43

I prefer the spotty dress to the navy one.

No news from me. I'm bored of all my clothes and want spring to come!

QueenCardigan · 18/02/2015 21:11

Ladies, I'm on holiday at the moment and have no fashion news but we're down to page 4 so just bumping us!

GingerLemonTea · 19/02/2015 20:36

Bought this today. Feels nice. Had to size down.
white shirt

winterdays · 19/02/2015 20:50

Ginger it looks light, pretty and comfortable to wear - as a natural Injenue one of my main preoccupations.
Bought this
Bought emerald green cardigan from La Redoute but it is verging on a green teal rather than our winter bright emerald but very soft and good value for £ 14
Now waiting for sized down lands end cardigan
My iPad isnt allowing me to link

fooogle · 21/02/2015 08:34

Hey winters, loads of random charity purchases over the half term. Cashmere navy jumper, navy wool long cardi wrap thing, both m and s. Long denim shirt from new look, a silk celine blouse Grin in a rather non winter shade of tan!
Various other stuff I can't work out how to fit into my chocca wardrobe. Need a clear out and edit...
Bought barrym lippy in pillar box and eat my dust nail varnish to try too.

Picastyle · 21/02/2015 08:49

For High Street shoppers John Lewis have some chinese blue stuff in their Collection range and I bought a lovely cobalt blue blouse and long sleeved tee from the MS Autograph range. I thought we'd be left out from Spring!

Picastyle · 21/02/2015 08:57

I also got this from Monsoon but I need styling advice! It's a really dark indigo background.

Thanks for colbalt tips pica , I wondered if colbalt would be on the wain this season so glad it's not.
Not sure how you'd style the dress. It's kind of folky would you say?

Picastyle · 22/02/2015 10:34

I'm not sure Fooogle, it looks lovely on though. A jacket would be too formal, a cardi might be better. I have a Nat, Classic, Ing style so probably would pair it with kitten sling backs?

pinkbadger · 22/02/2015 11:49

Yes, I think a cardi, probably cropped, in a winter colour that is in the pattern with kitten heel slingbacks in either black or a different winter bright from the pattern depending on your personal style, the occasion or what you have, would look great.

Picastyle · 22/02/2015 12:32

Thanks Pink! I hadn't thought about cropped but that would be great. :) I bought it because I have a hard time buying dresses, it looks like it will dress up or down well so I hope it will get lots of use. My new mantra is to buy stuff when I see it rather than wait for an occasion and rush around like a mad thing.

pinkbadger · 22/02/2015 16:35

Totally agreed re. buying stuff when you see it. Have a dressy work party this week and will be wearing a damson jumpsuit I've had for over a year but never worn. It's perfect and I love it and no pressure to find something new in a limited time. My 10 year old son did describe it as a onesie though which took the shine off it a little Grin

Picastyle · 22/02/2015 17:08

Grin Enjoy!

QueenCardigan · 23/02/2015 13:58

Hi winters.
pica a 3/4 length sleeve cropped cardi would be my idea with the dress and flats to dress it down or heel to dress it up.

Picastyle · 23/02/2015 17:47

Sounds good QC, thanks!

Librarina · 24/02/2015 11:30

I've just bought a fab green cardi (bit lighter than emerald, more like astroturf, although that may not be an official HoC classification) from Sainsburys. It was all of £14 and I've been complemented on it 3 times already today

I'm wearing it with a navy long sleeved top and a navy and grey horizontal striped skirt. And DMs, cos I always wear DMs. I feel like a beautiful French Punk Librarian. I love it when the clothes work.

My face on the other hand is horribly chalky in a nasty foundation so I might have to go and wash it off.

SorrelForbes · 24/02/2015 22:47

Saw [[http://www.celticandco.co.uk/ladies/dresses-and-skirts/v-back-t-shirt-dress/ this]] in the Celtic & Co catalogue. A bit casual for me but it's a summer dress with sleeves and it's breton style with a white, not ivory background!

fooogle · 25/02/2015 13:37

dress is nice Sorrel Think it'd be too short on me to be decent but like the look of the material.

Today wearing wide leg black trousers and a pine green fine wool turtle neck and an royal blue security tag...!

Feels springy right now and I'm wondering what I'll wear to work when its actually warm. Does anyone have any pointers for long sleeved shirt dresses (not too short)? Love a shirt dress me.... Grin

SorrelForbes · 25/02/2015 13:51

Ah, I'm a smidge under 5'4" so hoping it'll be decent on me Grin

Currently sat in the hair salon going from dark brown to ash blonde!

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 16:38

Ooh do we get pics sorrell?

Feeling a bit meh about all my clothes and want spring now. I have bought the gap curvy jeans to get onto the flare trend but apart from today it's been hailing here so not the best weather for them! foogle I'm sure I've seen some shirt dresses somewhere online but can't remember where. If I see them again I'll link.

What's everyones s/s wish lists? I think I'm after...
A black or grey jacket. Not a blazer as such maybe a tweed/boucle type one
A thick grey cardigan/coatigan
Black flats with ankle laces but so far I can only find pointy ones and I want round toes
Something to wear to fil 90th in May but not sure what.

NeitherHereOrThere · 25/02/2015 16:52

Been meaning to report back re the Woolovers cardigan in Burgundy - its going back, mainly because the fit is a tad too baggy even though its my size. The sleeves are not fitted enough, making me look frumpy. The colour is a bit odd - its slightly muted so probably best for an Autumn.

I am now looking at trainers as my converse have fallen apart and I really like the look of these snakeskin effect sneakers. Will have to go shopping in real life for these so it may take a while.

Picastyle · 25/02/2015 17:23

Neither, I threw out both my woolovers cardigans, the fit is very odd. I would have sent them back but I tried shrinking by washing it a few times and tumble drying. The darn things stayed to shape! The buttons are weird, I really didn't like them. The navy colour was great, the bright pink less so.

SorrelForbes · 25/02/2015 17:37

OK, here goes! Hair is a work in progress as this was as light and cool as it would lift (without doing a full head of block bleach!).

I'm also looking for a grey jacket for S/S and having a day at West Quay in Southapton on Friday so will keep my eyes peeled.
