Pica - sounds like its not just me who isn't happy with the fit. A bit annoyed cos in the pictures, it looks nicely fitted - they must have been using clips at the back.

Sorrel - that was brave! Have toyed with the idea of going light but have decided that at the end of the year I will probably ditch the dye and go grey.

IlonaRN · 25/02/2015 19:16

I am another one who didn't get on with the Woolovers cardigans - they were far too wide for me!

Sorrel, your hair looks great :)

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 22:33

sorrell your gorgeous. Great hair too.

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 22:33

Meant you're not your obviously

SorrelForbes · 26/02/2015 08:03

Too kind, too kind. First time I've posted a pic of yours truly on MN so I was lucky in that for the first (and probably the last) time I managed to take a half decent selfie!

The hair colour is definitely softer on me than the dark but the dark was classier IYKWIM? Going back in 6 weeks for a half head head of highlights and another ton toner which should get it more to where I want it shade wise. I'll probably grow it a bit too for the summer as it'll be easier to tie up when on holiday.

We still need to plan out Winter meet-up.

NeitherHereOrThere · 26/02/2015 09:07

How dark were you Sorrel and how light do you want to go?

SorrelForbes · 26/02/2015 11:44

I'd say it was about the same shade as (maybe a teensiest bit lighter) this pic and I'd like to go quite a light ash, maybe something between these two pics?

That's a big change, I am almost just as dark as the brunette (although I am greying quite rapidly).

I really like the blondes and I hope it works out well :)

fooogle · 26/02/2015 19:38

Wow, big change sorrel looks lovely and you look v glam. What's your natural shade? Mine is mostly mousey I'd say!...was v fair blonde when small but all dark blonde now... Do your makeup go to s change with the new shade sorrel ?
Wearing another kryolan colour lfp650 which I'm liking. A red...

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2015 00:36

My natural shade is mouse although I was very fair as a child. I'm lucky in that I only have one or two grey hair but I definitely noticed them more being dark. Now I'm blonde again I'll have the regrowth to content with instead!

My fuschia and raspberry shades of lipstick seem to work better with the blonde. I think I may need to up the blusher and the eyeliner to avoid losing washed out. I'm going to peruse the make up counters in JL to more for ideas.

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2015 20:01

Today's shopping trip was a bit of a disappointment. I tried on a few things in JL but nothing really caught my eye.

I ended up with a FC top in Monarch blue (match for shade 10) and in burgundy (match for shade 21).

Nice material, sort of silky cotton feel and a very flattering fit.

I bought another lipstick, Chanel Rouge Allure in Passion which I'm sure lots of you have already tried.

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2015 20:46

Just ordered this Uniqlo silk t-shirt in grey. £39.90.

didireallysaythat · 27/02/2015 21:02

I'm currently having a splurge on eBay. Honestly in the last month I've bought 3 dresses, one pair of boots and one pair of shoes. All for a total of £105. I can't remember the last time I spent so much money on clothes. I'm positively profligate. Alas I can't get to the hairdresser (forget online shopping I need online hairdressing) and I need a tooth fixing so there goes any spare cash for march and April. Still, I've got my shift work dresses (including one jaegar one I'm really liking) so I'm feeling smarter (as long as I don't open my mouth!)

Duckdeamon · 27/02/2015 22:24

For budget shoppers H&M has a few basics in ice pink, fuchsia, charcoal grey and dove grey.

Mint velvet has a spring scarf in white, with stripes in greys and ice pinks

SorrelForbes · 28/02/2015 09:17

The breton dress from Celtic & Co arrived yesterday and it'll be going back today. Nasty thin material, the background colour is cream, not white, and it's so short (about 7" above my knee_). I don't know what dress the model in the pic is wearing but it's much longer than the one I was sent.

Picastyle · 28/02/2015 09:42

Just ordered two cardis from Laura Ashley during their 30% off event. Strawberry and navy. They're beautifully soft and will make up for the demise of my Woolovers cardis.

Picastyle · 28/02/2015 09:46

Sorrel what style are you? Your linked things are quite square. I need a tailored fit but love the colours you've linked to.

SorrelForbes · 28/02/2015 12:33

I'm a Romantic Classic with a soft curve body shape. I need fitted clothes too. The FC tops are not boxy at all althought they do look like that in the pic!

Picastyle · 28/02/2015 12:47

Thanks for that! I'll have another look then :) it's the main reason I hardly ever buy online as I need to see the things IRL.

To me ,online, most things look square!

Picastyle · 28/02/2015 12:48

I'm a natural classic ingenue which is most confusing!

winterwalks · 28/02/2015 18:53

Hi picante
What are the characteristics of that style.
I'm a natural injenue
The lands end cardigan came back one size down in small.

It's a much better fit.

Picastyle · 28/02/2015 19:55

Hi winterwalks, the classic part is tailored, uptight, the natural style is relaxed, less uptight and the ingenue part is feminine details.

It's complicated isn't it? :)

winterwalks · 28/02/2015 20:09

Did your stylist give you any celebrities who are that category or a label.
Mine said think "forest princess"
As you say they seem quiet contrasting characteristics

SorrelForbes · 28/02/2015 21:07

Hmmm, I didn't get the uptight bit for my 'classic'. Tailored depends on your body shape too IIRC. Mine was all about wearing expensive fabrics and staying away from anything too feminine or girly (e.g. capped sleeves, ruffles).

Picastyle · 28/02/2015 21:27

No, no specific details winterwalks, no celebrities.

Sorrel, the ingenue being girly counteracts the non girly of the classic doesn't it?

Mightily confused I am!

I'm a soft curve too BTW, size 10. 5' 6"
