BTM is hardcore :)

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 09:44

ha ha!! Grin

motherinferior · 15/05/2014 09:56

I by contrast have branched out into a Ladyfrock (Jigsaw via Cancer Research, v nice) over leggings, which is essentially a slightly glammed-up version of tunic'n'leggings.

I may remove the thermal vest. Not sure yet.

I feel the cold.Grin

Hello everybody, had a really bad night's sleep - fell asleep straight away at 10.30 and woke up at 12.30 thinking it was morning - that was pretty much it for night.

Beautiful day but cold wind here - have rushed the washing outside.

DD1 also seems a bit zen - maybe there is only so much stress you can take, after which, the body pushes it away as a natural defence. German oral yesterday seemed to go OK so that is the end of German. Lessons seem to go right up till the end of May so consequently the classes are getting emptier and emptier - apparently the teachers seem surprised.

NUFC69 · 15/05/2014 10:12

Envy at bare legs. It is raining here now and yesterday's sunshine seems a distant memory. We did turn the central heating off last night, though.

We have two couples coming for s few days at the end of the month so have decided to do a mammoth bake this morning - apple pie and chocolate brownie cake for starters.

BTM, I have an automatic and DH has a manual and I switch between the two ok (apart from one epic occasion when I called out the AA because I forgot to do something! ).

Jeans and long-sleeved t-shirt here, though it is pleasingly warm outside, and DS did the school run with no jacket. My newly seeded grass is greening up nicely.

wordassociationfootball · 15/05/2014 10:49

MI I wear the ASOS jeans turned up which really suits them. Am 5'5" (nearly anyway) so a double turn up maybe? Worth trying. They are soooooo much nicer than other jeans at that price.

Madame la Stropp - echo much of what has been said. Know we only met the once but I too am much taken with you, your wisdom and your ways. Did the CBT report knock you? Maybe it didn't ring true and you felt 'what's the point?' Therapy does make things harder before easier sometimes too I think.

wordassociationfootball · 15/05/2014 10:51

Really touched by all this lovely mumming that's going on for the exam peeps.

QQ that jumpsuit is well chic.

Glad the anniversary of these emergency illnesses falls at a time when wellness is the order of the day.

motherinferior · 15/05/2014 10:58

Will definitely try them. Why not. When I've purchased lots of skincare in pointless 'why do I not look like dewy 25 year old' manner.

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 11:00

What is the jumpsuit like? Have I missed a link? I love looking at clothes and have a passion for ebay myself.

QueenQueenie · 15/05/2014 11:04

jumpsuit here Bindi!
Purchased yesterday with benefit of gift card that needed using...
I realise that I have a real taste for clothes that feel like wearing pyjamas but manage to fool others into thinking you are properly dressed... Hmm

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 11:11

Reminds me of an outfit I had in the eighties... looks comfy though.

hattymattie · 15/05/2014 11:18

QQ we need a FB photo of you modelling the jumpsuit to show us how to wear them.

I did used to have red dungarees in the eighties.

hattymattie · 15/05/2014 11:19

how to wear "it".

herbaceous · 15/05/2014 11:21

I love the look of Cos stuff, but it looks utterly hideous on me. It goes in where I go out, and vice versa.

I had a lycra catsuit, with a zip up the front, in my nine-stone clubbing days. Now I'd just look like a bin bag full of porridge.

QueenQueenie · 15/05/2014 11:32

Herbs! You little raver!

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 11:36

Ooo I had a pair of overalls too...they were very "Come on Eileen "!!

cremolafoam · 15/05/2014 11:39

Bindi I had a similar thing with epaulettes in the 80s know iirc as a 'flying suit' which one wire with a bobble perm. Yeh. I had pink lace up dance shoes I wore with it. I rocked it on a language exchange in Juan les pins and thought I was The BolleauxBlush

cremolafoam · 15/05/2014 11:42

Help: this evening wedding thing is Tonight and I can't decide on m&s invisible tan tights or to get the Sally Hansen out.
It is sunny here for the first time in weeksWink

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 11:43

like these....I would wear them with coloured high courts.

The Darling Crepes of May
motherinferior · 15/05/2014 11:44

I too emerge from Cos weeping with self-hatred.

OTOH my outfit today is very pyjama-esque, in the comfort stakes. God I love a stretchy frock.

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 11:44

crem definitely get the fake tan out. Much more "sexy" than nude tights.

Bindibach · 15/05/2014 11:45

My outfit is very pj like too.....Im actually still in bed in my pj top ha ha!

QueenQueenie · 15/05/2014 11:50

There is a photo of me in my (original) student days lookng a dead ringer for Bindi's DMR photo - headscarf and all. Me too Bindi - pointy court shoes OR DMs.

I too thought I was pretty cool Crem. Never went to Juan Les Pins but I did wear the dungarees to an open air James Brown concert in the middle of nowhere in France which we came upon on a student camping holiday.

You have stirred up many fond memories of when I was younger and bolder. I had a phase of huge backcombed hair with shaved sides in those days. I went to stay with friend in Florence who was on her year abroad there - the locals were quite shocked by me, one woman shouted at me in the street and crossed herself.

motherinferior · 15/05/2014 11:53

I've lost That Photo, or I'd link to it again.Grin
