Stropperella · 12/05/2014 21:10

I have already been able to use "the story of Herbs and the interview she was convinced she had stuffed up" for motivational purposes with dd. Grin

motherinferior · 12/05/2014 21:11

I feel the need for a celebratory meetup coming on...

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 12/05/2014 21:14

There is a nice Turkish restaurant near us - it's cheap, but the food is very good, and it's within easy reach of Waterloo, Elephant and Castle and Lambeff Norf for buses. It's called Koza.

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2014 21:16

Oooh, sounds good! Didn't BD enquire about crepey availability at the end of half-term? I'm here from the WedSmile Would that be a go-er Herbs?Smile

Stropperella · 12/05/2014 21:16

Hope you don't mind me using your interview success to try to bolster Dd's flagging spirits, Herbs.

NearTheWindymill · 12/05/2014 21:25

Possibly but I have promised to take dd to see "Once" as a birthday treat one day that week but nothing booked yet. Have the week off work.

motherinferior · 12/05/2014 21:26

I'll be at my father's 80th

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2014 21:27

MI, every night from Wed to Sun?

motherinferior · 12/05/2014 21:29

We - my parents, my sister and her kids, and Mr Inferior and me - are all decamping to a cottage in Yorkshire. Ho yes.

(My sister's partner has wangled herself a talk in effing blinding Baltimore, the cow clever thing. I am very fond of my SIL. And also she would have diluted the whole thing a bit.)

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2014 21:30

Ah.

motherinferior · 12/05/2014 21:52

Yes. Quite.

herbaceous · 12/05/2014 22:15

I can't do the end of half term either, as am on choir tour to Harrogate - can you think of anything crepier! - 28 May to 1 June.

Though could do the weekend before!

And stropps - glad to be an inspiration! Though keep expecting a follow-up email saying 'sorry - we sent this to the wrong person...'

Which thread Rudy - did I miss something?

I'm off for my walk in the woods this morning, with two other Mum's whose children have the bac - we can all be angsty togetherSmile .

The weather is being very difficult - glorious sunshine interspersed with random heavy downpours. I have washed the woollies in the hope that I can get them at least partially dried outside as DH has switched the heating off because it's May. Normally we'd be in t shirts by now. .

NUFC69 · 13/05/2014 07:32

Didn't you go to Harrogate before, Herbs, or was it that you mentioned it previously? You must go to Betty's and have a Fat Rascal (forget the ToT again). Harrogate is one of my favourite places.

Whereabouts are you going in Yorkshire, MI? If you fancy getting away from the family a trip to York and McArthur Glen might not go amiss, especially if you're looking for things because lady jogging has made you more toned. Grin

It's actually a nice day here, the sun is shining for a change. I hope to do some weed clearing on the front paths, but also need to buy a little something for DGD2's first birthday tomorrow. I am hoping DH will actually go cycling today as he has been crying off recently because of a bad shoulder.

Hope your back is better today, Windy. Mine eventually cleared up when I was not picking up the GC all the time.

NearTheWindymill · 13/05/2014 08:33

The pains down my legs seem to have stopped and I got a better sleep last night. Just heaving myself upstairs to get ready for work.

Yes science here too today there was a chemistry focus last night but when I probe I'm told to shut up because it's in hand; she knows what she's doing and that's all that matters.

Blackduck · 13/05/2014 08:44

HERBS - Congrats Grin Grin

Blimey Crepeys - started without me!! Yes I mentioned h-t, would be lovely to meet. the two weeks after that can only be described as hell on wheels here.....

ds came home to inform us he is now doing all L6 papers - and apparently the timetable for Thursday is just ridiculous....

Turkish food - yum - had that last night it was fab.

BindiBach · 13/05/2014 08:56

Good Morning Ladies, do you all mostly live near London then?

Blackduck · 13/05/2014 09:50

Hi BB - I don't, Stropps doesn't, a bunch of the Crepeys do......

Just London is the easiest point to meet.
