QueenCadbury · 23/04/2014 19:51

I love that dress dec.

dry you make me Grin

Just put ds to bed and followed up on what would have been talked about at school today. The only tricky question I got was "does god die?" Confused. We then discussed what/who god is and he decided that he is a skylander that smells of poo Grin.

libertychick · 23/04/2014 20:08

This may be too late Stokey - have been busy today. Sizing is on the generous side with the Chelsea trousers. I am 14 on hips and the 12 fit well - they are cut for pear shape - I have 12 inch diff between hips and waist. I tried several pairs and found some differences, so one pair were good at size 12 but with another size 12 the pockets pulled a bit. I tried the 14 too and they were ok but felt like too much material at the front. I am 5ft 6 and the regular length came to just above ankle bone and the long length were just to top of foot.

Topazandpearl · 23/04/2014 20:35

Another Irish bride here whose bridesmaid wore green (and coming up to our 25th anniversary so can't have brought too much bad luck!)

Really sorry to hear your news QueenC. Those poor children. I'm sure you have given your dc some tight hugs since hearing the news.

I love all the dress links, not sure about dry's PAC-a-macs Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 23/04/2014 21:32

I'll look out for a stylish lady in a pac-a-mac at Ascot and I will know she be Dry (by name and by nature).

Speaking of Ascot, if I keep up this chocolate binge-fest I've been on for the past 4 days I will be needing to get my Tory Burch dress let out, not nipped in. I disgust myself.

Drywhiteplease · 23/04/2014 21:55

No no No! Grumpy I draw the PAC a mac line at Ascot Wink

Right, I know you've all been on tenter hooks waiting to see if I got into the red dress Grin. Good news, with the help of a some serious reinforcement down below I'm in and looking HOT ladies....have St Tropez'd legs so I don't blind folks on Saturday with the blue/white colour I've been developing over the winter....even my nails are in good condition thanks to a week of no housework/washing up. Oh yes "Operation Make me beautiful" is well under way............just saying Smile
wait till RA, it's going to take a month of work

AND and and...I think I may have found the perfect little fitted black blazer....will report back when it's here another love at first sight fashion fate moment, not carefully considered but potentially life changing and excellent CPW classic investment piece

libertychick · 23/04/2014 21:58

Well done on the red dress Dry Grin

I am now on tenderhooks for the perfect black blazer reveal - I need one - my 8 year old Zara one has really had its day.

justasecond · 23/04/2014 21:58

Thats very sad news Queenc, those poor children. Hope you are ok. x

Grumpy your swimsuit is v chic, like Blair's idea with the big hat and sunnies. Btw I am also disgusted with myself, I have not rested until the last bit of Easter chocolate has been eaten. Pmt and a house full of chocolate not a good combo.
Decam Lovely parka, is it a warm one or thinnner for spring?
Dry thanks for the info on the next flats. I am going to order them. I think pac a macs are the best , saved me from many a drenching. I am also now tempted to check out the tt dvd to see if I can spot you!

I have just ordered these slim boyfriend jeans from Topshop thought they were worth a look. ts bf jeans

shopafrolic · 23/04/2014 22:03

Gorgeous dress dry and a big woop for the dress fitting!
DH has spent all evening building DS a bike with stabilisers, he doesn't do DIY, it has taken 2 hours but he is super proud of himself. I am still ill and will have to give in and go to the doctors tomorrow. I have lost another 4 lbs and feel rotten.

Drywhiteplease · 23/04/2014 22:08

Shop that's not good your illness not DH's DIY, although if it's anything like my DH's DIY it'll be pretty terrible maybe you need antibiotics. You poor thing.

Decameron · 23/04/2014 22:21

Poor you, Shop. Get well soon.

It's not that warm, Justa, spring/summer. I found anothet Burberry I liked but think I prefer this (phew says my credit card). Really like a lot in C de C at the moment . Have you found a trench yet?

libertychick · 23/04/2014 22:24

Definitely go to the doctor Shop. Sounds awful.

MarshaBrady · 24/04/2014 09:10

Morning,

QueenC so sad, those poor little children.

Shop I hope the GP is helpful and you feel better soon, sounds awful.

I am doing my last day of work, nearly done and just at home. It has been intense but the client was very happy so it was worth it. Also survived with meagre work clothing, I feel lucky I can get away with it!

MarshaBrady · 24/04/2014 09:13

Things are so sad in the news sometimes, ah really gets me.

Will finish this work and catch up properly. Back later.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/04/2014 09:42

dry you are on fire with this - would you like to just take over all my clothes shopping for me? Grin - I have just ordered the Karl dress to try in XS and S to arrive today - if it works then I won't need to go into town tomorrow to try Karen Millen and possibly others.....Flowers

Shop I hope you are taking it as easy as possible, definitely see the doctor. Get well soon xx

Sleepwhenidie · 24/04/2014 09:43

Decam I forgot to say I really like that dress you linked but its not me unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though Smile

OneLittleLady · 24/04/2014 09:54

Hope you feel better soon Shop you've been ill for so long so you really ought to go the doctor.

Weight is holding at a steady 14 stone 1lb right now and right now, I'm wearing a size 12 top that was stuffed in the drawer, forgotten about it so i thought I'd try it and it fits beautifully Grin

Annianni · 24/04/2014 10:02

My wedding dress was just a black dress, not a proper gown.
I wanted to get married in jeans (and wish that I had)

I've been semi-lurking on here.
Not had much to report fashion wise.
I've bought a few bits but nothing major.

Hope you feel better soon Shop.

And awful news about your friend Queenc, those poor dcs.

Stokey · 24/04/2014 10:40

Sleep I hit a real wall dress shopping and have ended up going for an ebay DvF or a 3-year old Oasis skater dress, found the high street extremely uninspiring. Fingers crossed for the Karl one.

I missed the trousers Liberty, actually thought i can probably pick up some BR ones for a similar price - without the 5 week wait - but good to know the size details. Shoes on offer today including your lovely silver ones.

Love the pack-a-macs Dry, may be just what I need for long weekend in Wales in May Grin

Marsha the news is awful, that poor woman who could see no way out for her and her SN children, makes me very sad.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/04/2014 12:08

Funnily enough I saw a lovely second hand Mulberry dress in a shop yesterday Stokey but it wasn't my size....

One I have just stumbled upon your latest facebook pics - you look so beautiful!

OneLittleLady · 24/04/2014 12:19

Oh, thank you Sleep Blush

libertychick · 24/04/2014 13:25

Marsha that story is dreadful. So, so sad for everyone concerned.

BR are good for trousers Stokey. Funny you mention the Boden sandals - I decided this morning to return them! They are lovely but they are very flat and have no cushioning under the heel and I think they might not be comfortable.

Then Sleep got in touch to say she didn't need Mango jacket and about 5 mins before I went to the PO to send it back I decided to try it on again and have decided to keep it after all!!

Well done one on the continued success with your weight loss. What do your family and friends think of it - they must be really impressed.

QueenCadbury · 24/04/2014 14:19

Yay, been into town and got the zara top. V happy. Fell in love with these shoes. Can I justify buying them though.....

Hope dr can sort you out shop.

Agree that the news of woman and her dc was very sad.

liberty you're more indecisive than me! I'm sure you'll wear the jacket though.

libertychick · 24/04/2014 14:28

Grin QueenC I am hugely indecisive! I think I will wear the jacket. It's out of my usual comfort zone but it makes me smile when I put it on so I am taking that as a good sign. Which shoes are you looking at, the link goes to a page full of shoes! Well done on the Zara top, very pretty and very you.

OneLittleLady · 24/04/2014 14:40

liberty kind of mixed reactions from people really, I've had a few people tell me I looked better with more weight on and that my face is too boney now Confused
