thanks again everyone. I'm still a bit jittery but I think I will be until I get a formal decision. Going to my brothers for a bit today to hopefully distract me from checking my e-mails over and over again. Just hope they don't take too long to give me an answer! Thanks for everyone

libertychick · 15/04/2014 13:34

In the end I wore my Banana republic mustard skirt with black and grey silk top, black blazer, oversize black lace scarf and nude tights - no meetings but lots of senior people around so decided against the jeans. Agree transitional dressing is tricky. Sun blazing here but it's still a bit chilly out.

Like those Ash trainers runners Decam Smile

Decameron · 15/04/2014 14:14

I still say runners too. Grin

I ordered Equipment cashmere sweater from Shopbop (thanks again Blair Thanks) as my 14th wedding anniversary present from DH (ivory!).

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/04/2014 14:28

Ha, love it Decam! And the trainers, 40% off is pretty damn good.

I am annoyed - my-wardrobe messed up and the crop top is out of stock. This happens to me far too much! I've ordered a cropped white t-shirt from Topshop and splashed out for next day delivery, instead. Not the same, but I have saved some £££...

That outfit sounds nice liberty, I agree it's hard to dress for the outside at the moment, I just default to my trench coat.

libertychick · 15/04/2014 14:59

That's rubbish Blair Boo to my-wardrobe. I think I need a trench coat but I like a classic camel/beige trenches and those colours don't suit me. Navy and black trenchcoats seem to defeat the purpose of it being a spring coat IYKWIM.

Grin at Decam I feel like I'm being all pretentious when I call them 'trainers' but know most people (my Kiwi DH included) will look at me blankly if I say 'runners'. I consider it a tragedy that my DD doesn't know what a 'press' is - DH glares at me if I use the word and corrects me to 'cupboard'. He gets really upset by 'hot press'...

Stokey · 15/04/2014 15:12

Liberty your outfit sounds great, I need to wear more blazers.
I wonder if we have the same skirt? One of my top winter buys was a BR woollen yellow skirt which I have worn at least once a fortnight.

Topazandpearl · 15/04/2014 15:59

Hah liberty and decam, do you say "plug it out"? (It's logical that it is the opposite of "plug it in") but causes great hilarity in our house if I say it.
Blair thanks for the AR code. I went on to look at dresses but ended up ordering some holiday clothes. Will link in a bit.

Well done One, hope you hear soon.

No style here as I have been gardening the last couple of days - it is lovely to be outside but desperately need a manicure now.

Topazandpearl · 15/04/2014 16:04

Today's orders

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/04/2014 16:32

Lovely things Topaz! I pinned the denim dress and Anni was admiring it. I haven't bought anything yet, might have another look tonight.

Turquoiseblue · 15/04/2014 17:15

Thanks Blair, I was nt going to order from out AR but they sorted the refunds and when I saw a code ordered this jacket for summer also ordered the virgos Pleased.
Only got discount on one item though

Love the denim dres topaz.

Decameron · 15/04/2014 17:49

I think I do, Topaz! DH is Irish too so I get away with it! I make the DDs pronounce yoghurt etc the Irish/American way. They'll end up very confused. Grin

Great shopping, Turquoise and Topaz. Really pleased with the Ash virgos too as they rarely go on sale.

Decameron · 15/04/2014 17:52

Oh Liberty, my DD1 told her friend that it was bogan to wear uggs outside the house - she picked it up from my Kiwi sil (who thought it was hilarious!).

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2014 18:01

Ha bogan very Aus. I still have to stop myself calling trainers, sneakers.

Topaz lovely shopping, particularly like the white embroidery t.

Decam love that jumper!

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2014 18:23

Blair they are great codes, how annoying about MW!

Mara have fab holiday. Did I see that earlier?

Long picnics today. I have 4 days work to do, it will have to wait. But once it's done it will be good!

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2014 18:40

I ordered a Becksondergaard Flamingo scarf and some St Tropez stripy joggers from Atterley Road and a Wildfox sweater from Shopbop. Good codes.

Oh and a Sven from Frozen but that was not for me.

LinusDKD · 15/04/2014 19:08

Evening!

Great codes but I am being good at the moment. I am going to try on that Burberry mac tomorrow and I still have my eye on that Céline Hobo so I am not going to look at Shopbop and AR.

decam lovely jumper.

mara very Envy about those cobalt Tod's. I am very tempted ...

Lovely denim dress topaz!

liberty I hope you had an ok day.

OneLittleLady · 15/04/2014 19:10

Have you got a link for the scarf amber? I love anything flamingo!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/04/2014 19:40

So pleased people are using the code! Yes links please Amber :)

After my irritation with my-wardrobe, my day got better. I went to a different sainsbury's after work and they had the lemon sundress in a 20 and an 8, I grabbed the 8 as it looked big enough. It was £18, they had 25% off today and I paid with nectar points so the dress cost me a total of £1 Grin and it looks great on! So am very pleased.

Now going to have a browse of AR and shopbop in case I can justify anything.

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2014 20:18

OneLittleLady · 15/04/2014 20:28

Love love love that scarf Amber

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/04/2014 20:46

Love them all! You have such a good sense of your own style. Envy The fish sweater is amazing!

libertychick · 15/04/2014 21:25

Yes I say 'plug it out' too. Hilarious that your DD uses the word bogan Decam. DH looks at photos of me from the 90's and says I was a total bogan back then!

libertychick · 15/04/2014 21:30

Stokey this is my BR skirt. I have worn it a lot but it's starting to look a bit worn and loses shape easily. I'd like another mustard skirt - wool one sounds good.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 15/04/2014 22:41

Quietly laughing at all the Irish-isms. DH and I had a 'discussion' about 'plug it out' just the other evening...Grin The DDs use lots of expressions - 'yer man' and 'yer one' used to cause great amusement among older relatives when DD1 used to say it as a child (with her hint of a British west country lilt). Delft (china), press (cupboard), hot press (airing cupboard) - we should compile an Anglo-Irish phrase book.

Some gorgeous links tonight, especially Amber's flamingo scarf. It's just so summery and lovely.

libertychick · 15/04/2014 23:42

What a lovely word delft is! I had forgotton that one looks forward to completely confusing DH at breakfast.

I couldn't resist the AR code and bought this scarf. Thanks Blair.

Lots of deliveries today. These are going back. The blue just isn't as vibrant as the picture looks. And the fit was not great - pockets pulling. I am having one last attempt with these trousers and have ordered them in mustard and navy and sized up. I'll see how they look and maybe see if they can be adjusted. Finding trousers that fit is the bane of my life - a 12 inch difference between waist and hip is surely not that uncommon?

Mango order arrived. This jacket is a keeper. It's more cream than white which I usually don't like but it has a metallic grey thread running through it so has a 'cooler' feel and look than block cream. After a lot of trying on/discussions with DH he was very patient I have decided I will return the Marant alike one. It is lovely but I don't usually wear this shape/style of jacket so I think one of them is enough for now. The plain one is more versatile. And the patterned one is very quilted, I think it might be too warm over the next few months and yet too bulky and annoying under coats in winter. I'm still having little pangs every time I looks at it though. The quilting was the tipping point though if it was lighter I would keep it.

Ok bed for me.
