maradesbois · 14/04/2014 09:31

just noticed that you said you can make the July mu blair, good news!

OneLittleLady · 14/04/2014 10:30

Grey and black jersey DKNY dress, Black cardigan, black opaques, red irregular choice heels for a splash of personality, cream pearl studs, red nails. Hair is up in a low side bun as I had a major attack of the frizz this morning and nothing seemed to calm it! Ready to go, just waiting for my taxi. Will report back when I get home. thank you for all well wishes Thanks

LinusDKD · 14/04/2014 10:42

Go one! You can do it!

Stokey · 14/04/2014 12:29

Hope it all goes well One, outfit sounds great & hope your holiday is improving Novice

Mara you mentioned moving to London later this year? Best of luck, the housing market is insane, everything going to closed bids. May be better to rent for a bit - am so relieved we moved in 2012, there is no way we could afford our house now.

Am still on the lookout for a dress for wedding in now less than 2 weeks. Am having no luck with my online ordering.
Does anyone else have a problem with skinny shoulders? Am very petite around the back (28") and nearly everything I try is just too baggy around the top.

I tend to wear dresses going out in summer evenings Turq but am normally going straight from work so jeans are not an option. Tend to take a cardie and a jacket, layering is key.

And on the ugly sandal front, I do love my Birkenstocks even though I know they are pretty unsexy. Have had a pair on the go for the last 20 years or so and they are great for round the garden, popping to the playground. Am quite excited this year they are finally on trend!

santamarianovella · 14/04/2014 12:40

Safe trip mara

All the best of luck one,

turq which color was the celine Grin

shop hope you can get a new one,

justasecond · 14/04/2014 12:45

Good luck One your outfit sounds great!
Novice what an ordeal, hope dh is better now and you can enjoy the rest of your holiday. Hope your dsis ok too.
Lots to carch up on. Can't seem to motivate dcs to do anything today, they don't want to go to the park, garden centre, library or even pizza express!
Stokey hope you find a dress soon. I have narrow shoulders too but don't wear many dresses. Have you considered separates?
Was just reading the other thread re fading beauty, youth and dds, interesting. My dds look very different to each other and it does worry me a bit about how dd2 will feel as she gets older. She has already made comments about how she looks different to her disis and db.

libertychick · 14/04/2014 13:23

Outfit sounds perfect!

Shame about the Issa dress Topaz. I'll keep looking Grin

Are you able to go RL shopping Stokey?

LinusDKD · 14/04/2014 13:48

Afternoon!

Have a great trip mara! I love Tod's shoes as well, have got quite a few pairs Blush

One pair is their classic driving shoe in a red suede and they are really worn but I just can't get rid of them.

I saw a lovely cobalt pair on NaP so that has gone straight onto my S/S wishlist (which is getting longer and longer)

I just took out most of my summer clothes out of storage a cupboard in the basement in preparation for our holiday and a lot of it is too big now.

Mainly my lovely AV Jacksonville tees that will now be used to sleep in.

My Me&Em tops and dresses are a Medium so I can still wear those for a bit even though they are quite slouchy now.

And it was lovely to take out my sandals and summer shoes again. Can't wait to wear my Gigi's on holiday!

dry very Envy about the gelato!

LinusDKD · 14/04/2014 13:50

Oh and I also have some birkensocks that I wear around the house and in the garden.

Two pairs are really not very flattering so hardly get worn but last year I bought a red patent leather pair (I think Madrid, the ones with just one strap acrosss) and I love that one.

Not sure about the fugly sandals I have seen in magazines and online. I think only women with very long slim legs and very slim ankles can get away with those.

Stokey · 14/04/2014 14:35

Maybe separates is what I should be looking for Justa

Just tried this top and trousers on in Zara which looked better than expected (I didn't have a crop space!). I can go shopping in my lunch Liberty but normally only have time for one shop, & Regent St is chaos this week.

The fading looks thread is interesting Justa, I'm sure your DD2 looks lovely.
I find it fascinating how my dds look. I can't wait to see how they develop. I think they will look quite different, both have inherited their father's blue eyes and dark lashes but one is fair and one is dark. I still find it amazing that I have blue-eyed children.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/04/2014 15:11

Just a quick one - LOOK40 gets 40% off at Atterley Road, tomorrow only. :)

OneLittleLady · 14/04/2014 16:57

Well, I think it went well. Seemed to be really positive, I just need to wait now for them to make a formal decision. A lot of things are hanging on this, there's major changes going on (will reveal all when I know what's happening!)

LinusDKD · 14/04/2014 18:39

Well done one!

How long do you have to wait before you get an answer?

OneLittleLady · 14/04/2014 18:41

No idea linus could be tomorrow, could be weeks. Just have to wait it out

libertychick · 14/04/2014 20:27

Well done one - major changes sounds intriguing.

I like those trousers Stokey - I'd be bankrupt if I worked near Regent Street.

Thanks for the AR tip off Blair - off for a browse...

shopafrolic · 14/04/2014 20:34

Well done One - am keeping everything crossed for you.
Lovely day today with my oldest friend, my two Godsons and DS. Picnic lunch, the kids played really well together so she and I got to chat - just lovely.

libertychick · 15/04/2014 06:46

Sounds like a perfect day Shop.

I'm in bed trying to decide what to wear for the day. I am feeling under the weather again. Want to wear my new White Company navy dress but have a slight sore throat still so I don't think bare legs are a good idea and I think it's going to be too warm for opaques. Tried it with nude tights yesterday but didn't look right. Wish I could stay at home in bed for the day but really have to go to work. Sad So tempted to wear black jeans...I don't have any meetings...

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2014 08:20

Have you before Liberty? Black jeans sound fine to me, but everyone wears jeans when there's no client meetings where I am.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/04/2014 09:28

Morning all, got another code - INTHEFAMILY14 for 25% off everything at Shopbop until the end of Thursday. Good for jeans etc.

Stokey · 15/04/2014 09:33

Snap Liberty I was going to wear a skirt today but have sore throat and cough so have gone for black jeans.
It's not that warm here, there was frost on the roof this morning. Glad I didn't get round to planting seeds at the weekend. Did see a couple of people with bare legs on the way into work and thought they looked cold! Always tricky this time of year.

Secretsquirrel13 · 15/04/2014 10:48

I'm channelling Amber's theme park chic today. Luckily it's a sunny dry day so indigo gap jeggings, trainers, Breton, Stella m scarf and er a north face fleece!

Decameron · 15/04/2014 10:57

Thanks for the codes, Blair, I usually delete Atterley Rd's w/o reading them but didn't get one from Shopbop. Anyway, Atterley Rd's code was very timely as I have just taken my black Ash virgo to the charity shop so ordered these this morning to replace them.

Hope you feel better, Liberty and Stokey. I have really bad hayfever at the moment, always get it badly this time of year.

Decameron · 15/04/2014 11:00

Well done, One!

maradesbois · 15/04/2014 11:05

liberty agree bare legs not great if you're feeling under the weather. If you have to go in, go comfortable. It is that transitional weather time, hopefully in a few more weeks we can forget about tights for a bit.

one glad your interview seemed to go ok, hope it works out for you.

linus I love tod's too. Have a pale blue pair of suede loafers that sound like your red ones, getting battered but not ready to be parted with yet! I had a gorgeous tan leather pair with turquoise stitching and rubber dots (don't know what the technical term is!) but they got trashed beyond repair in India. Have to confess am just back from the Paris store where I bought the suede cobalt ones, love, love them and they fit like a glove. They even had children's ones, would have loved to get for ds in same colour but didn't, in terms of cpw would have been a bit crazy!!
