MarshaBrady · 13/04/2014 17:54

shopafrolic · 13/04/2014 19:24

Laptop is dead RIP :(
Was no-one interested in Wang for H&M then?

LinusDKD · 13/04/2014 19:41

Oh no shop! hope your insurance will cover replacing it.

I saw these on a blog and I really like them. Not leather though unfortunately.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 13/04/2014 19:53

They are nice Linus! Maybe we can find something similar.

Hello all. Have had a lovely day watching truck racing with the PILs at Brands Hatch. A bit random but the weather was perfect for it. We were in a hospitality suite so I didn't get sunburnt, which helped!

Also good news, the family birthday party that I thought would clash with the July MU is going to be the weekend before instead, so I can come - was the first thing I thought of Grin

shop sad to hear about laptop, hope the insurance comes through.
I am interested in Wang, but November?! Remind me in 6 months...!

mara I've tried stella skirt with a few things, not worn it out yet. I have realised this year that I think I'm on the cusp of crop top age, so going to wear them the second time around while I still can. (Remembering the long sleeved ones of around the millennium haha!)

BrandyAlexander · 13/04/2014 20:26

Hi all, just quick drop in to say dh is better, thank goodness! Thanks for asking! X

libertychick · 13/04/2014 20:37

Novice how is your DH and your DSis? I hope your holiday is going better.

Fedup that Gap jacket catches my eye every time I go in there. I must have tried it on 3 times, it doesn’t really work on me but I think it’s great – you will definitely wear it over and over.

Blair that MSGM top is perfect for the skirt and yes, enjoy cropped tops while you can. Really great that you can make the 5th July MU

QueenC I think the sequined Coast top is more of a winter item but this navy sparkly Whistles top would be great for an evening BBQ in summer. The monsoon navy dress is lovely.

Bummer about your laptop Shop. Wang doesn’t really appeal to me! I am impressed with how H&M are persuading all these designers to do collaborations.

Sound like you are having a fab time Dry. Have an affogato for me please Smile

I went shopping today alas with DD in tow! I bought this striped top in navy and white in Cos which ticks a Breton off my SS ‘wardrobe gap’ list. It’s so nice, really soft and a good length. I also bought a button back top which I can’t find on the website. Black, ¾ sleeves with woven cotton front and silk dipped back. I’d have happily stayed longer in Cos but the 3 year old wasn’t enjoying it as much as me Smile

Topaz How was the Issa dress? Is it a keeper?

OneLittleLady · 13/04/2014 20:37

Oh no shop hope insurance can sort you out

Glad DH is feeling better Novice

I'm so nervous about tomorrow, outfit is sorted, just got to negotiate buses to get there and try and stay calm and not make a fool of myself!

libertychick · 13/04/2014 20:39

Get a good night's sleep One. Do some deep breathing in the morning and give yourself lots of time to get there so any delays don't stress you out. You will be great - will have fingers and toes crossed for you.

LinusDKD · 13/04/2014 20:40

Great news novice!

Good luck for tomorrow one!

I might have another sneaky trip to Cos myself on Wednesday Liberty. Can't get that yellow top out of my mind and now your Breton

libertychick · 13/04/2014 20:42

I know Linus I'm trying to work out when I can get back there. I didn't even get to the section with all the lovely spring colours.

Drywhiteplease · 13/04/2014 21:07

One you will be great. Good luck :) and do something nice afterwards!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/04/2014 22:11

Oh, all you city gals with your shop talk - I'm desperate for a day in London. I'm supposed to meet with someone up there within the next couple of weeks to talk about a joint venture, but a day perusing th Italian fashion exhibition at the V&A followed by Liberty and general Regent St shopping fuelled by macarons is calling me. Am loving the past couple of day's links, esp the green jumpsuit (drool). I have my black jumpsuit on back order from Baukjen so it will be another month or so before my jumpsuit fetish is satiated.
I have come on here to try to persuade at least one of you to buy the Paolina dress from LK Bennett because it is a Loren-esque object of beauty, has been reduced to £135 from £225 and they don't have any in my size. Can't link though, because I'm on stupid phone in the bath.
Ciao - as Dry (and Sofia) would say Wink

Sleepwhenidie · 13/04/2014 23:05

Here you go Grumpy Paolina...v nice but not in my size either (and nowhere to wear it Grin)!

maradesbois · 14/04/2014 07:45

Morning all,

liberty cos shopping sounds good.
novice good news
one good luck for your interview
shop interesting that wang is next h&m collaborator. I ordered something from the marant one but ended up sending straight back as decided I 'd just got caught up in the hype and didn't really want to pay about 4 times the h&m price for it. On the one hand it's a good way to buy into the brand but personally would rather get something from outnet that is better quality and last. Don't know if wang is independent or owned by one of the big conglomerates but if the former will be brilliant for him.

Topazandpearl · 14/04/2014 07:53

Good morning all. Glad to hear your DH has recovered Novice, hope your DSis is ok.

Good luck today One, you'll be great.

Liberty, the Issa dress is going back. It is lovely but is not as nice on me as I had hoped (it would be a case of "that's a lovely dress" rather than "you look great" iykwim?) I think it was the colours, the neckline being a smidge too high and the cut (sagged a bit under the boobs). Also, that tie thing would have needed a stitch as it is so short it kept coming undone when I tried it on! (I could have got over that if I was keeping it though).

I still need an outfit for a summer wedding but am not in a rush - meanwhile I will continue to seek inspiration from the links here.

maradesbois · 14/04/2014 07:59

Just closed the last suitcase, time to start loading the car, ridiculous amount of stuff but needs to cover many different weather possibilities and will be away for a while. Next stop paris! Am after a pair of tods so will have a look there. Am wearing some tods ballerinas that got at Bicester a couple of years ago that I love but looking decidedly battered and need an update.

shopafrolic · 14/04/2014 08:55

Good luck today One - go smash it x

MarshaBrady · 14/04/2014 09:00

Good luck today One. You'll be great.

OneLittleLady · 14/04/2014 09:15

thanks everyone Thanks Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/04/2014 09:19

Have a great time mara :)

Turquoiseblue · 14/04/2014 09:21

Morning everyone.
There should be a numpty emoticon - it s taken me ages to sort out my password link- I was sending it to the wrong email address -Blush!

Lovely links, that green jumpsuit is lush.

Have lovely holidays everyone that s heading off. I loved not havig a school run today.
Novice - I hope your dh is ok now, sounds horribly stressful and a bit scary. Plus sounds like you need a second holiday to get over it Thanks WineWine
Marsha - I was looking for those Cassini mid point in silver. Sad No luck.
Spend the weekend planning the dc and dh s birthday parties - they are all in the same month! They are so excited :) dh being the biggest kid of them all
Thanks for re replies on the going out question- I think I m similar - pretty top and skinnies mostly, have a sparkle skirt and some statement -y pencil skirts I wear with a silk shirt or tank or tee, depending on occasion and day/evening time. I tend to wear more skirts in summer. Reminds me I need some pretty sandals - flats for that very reason, my trusty pied a terre finally have up the ghost last year.

What does everyone think of the current 'fugly' sandal trend? Anyone bought some?

Amber- I was looking at fit flops, I know you mentioned you had some last year, I need summer everyday sandals - for days with the dc and the park etx. I have the fear though, is it a slippery slope to next stop nana shoes ....or should I just bite the bullet and wear them with aplomb ? After all if the fuglies are everywhere why not fit flops too?!

Ok must dash. Apologies for no links- will do better next time - on phone right now, spotted a divine Celine last week and thought of MNV Smile
