Fedup I really like that jacket.

Turquoiseblue · 12/04/2014 10:43

Shop skinnies and Khaki gets my vote!

these lovely - was it Queen C who wanted beautiful flats too ?

I m weeding through my wardrobe today. MNV has influenced how I shop now, I know other s have said it too recently. I ve a list of some stuff to fill wardrobe gaps to finish my outfits too and bring stuff together too. Have decided yesterdays goldsigns are going back as i wont wear them right now, but grey skinnies were perfect and are keepers.

I really need two SS jackets - Casual for daytime SS wear and a smarter one for evening.

For evening or more dressed up - well I dont do very dressy, and my style is casual / coolish (I hope) I cant seem to find something I love. have been pinning and deliberating. What do you all wear?

LinusDKD · 12/04/2014 11:20

Great jacket fedup! And 100% cotton!

Reminds me again of the fact we don't have Gap here Sad

novice I hope your DH is feeling better today and that you are holding up well.

Fedupnagging · 12/04/2014 11:37

I know what you mean Turq, I have had a massive clear out but struggling to find lots of clothes that I like AND suit me particularly for summer.

I do skinnies boots and various tops really well but not great with dresses and skirts. (Except for work). Also, I love the 7/8's cropped skinnies etc but as am small, can look a bit like Max Wall! Have just sent back some Boden ones Sad.

Today, I have just put on a sandwich tunic and leggings as am just pottering around the house-it's really comfortable but looks terrible. Probably should bin them both.

BrandyAlexander · 12/04/2014 11:45

Afternoon all. Thank you all for the concernThanks and even more ThanksThanksto Shop and QueenC for chatting with me last night when I was feeling so low. I had a poo gate incident which was pretty much last straw. Quote of 2014 to date "I would rather be cleaning up shit in xxx(where we are on holiday) than yyy (where Shop is)." Oh god I laughed hard! Thanks my darling x

Dh much better, he's back at "home" and the nurse and doctor came to check him out and give him more drugs intravenously. He's been able to come to beach (first day in 4 days) and is quietly recuperating in the shade while I make sandcastles. Very relieved.

Such is the current drama in Novice household, dsis is currently on way to hospital as she thinks she has a post op complication. She's okay though she says.

So just to end on a fashion piece,I am wearing a Ted Baker one piece (my only one, others are bikinis) which is a halter neck and quite interesting.

OneLittleLady · 12/04/2014 11:49

Glad DH is 'home' Novice and I hope Dsis is ok Thanks

santamarianovella · 12/04/2014 14:45

novice ohh, hope nothing is serious with your diss, good thing your dh is doing better, hope the rest of your holiday is drama free,

liberty waiting that long for those trousers is too much, good choice in getting another pair ,the color is beautiful.

fedup the jacket looks so nice,

linus I love love love the IM dress, and that top is so pretty, don't tempt me! There is a boutique where Im at the moment that sells IM,some of the pieces are unique,I haven't seen them anywhere, one dress was so exquisite in very pale grey i wasn't able to take any photos as the SA was following me like a hawk,

We did some furniture shopping today, so that is one item scratched from my moving list, kitchen/dining stuff is next.
I'm missing the dcs terribly ,I've been away just one day! 9 days left! Think I willl lose my mind!

, took advantage of being chilld free, and wore heels bad idea, have blisters now with Stella M sweater and dre skinny boyfriends,

shopafrolic · 12/04/2014 15:57

Novice glad things are improving. DS had another poo explosion today on the potty and I was laughing about our chat last night too - glad I helped :) Sending positive vibes for you Dsis too.
Fedup and Turq there are two things I find most tricky - dressing for summer, and wearing dresses on nights out. Whenever I go out, even if I have the best intentions of wearing a dress and heels, if it's a bar / restaurant scenario I always revert to skinnies, heels and silk blouse (blazer if cold) and a sparkly clutch.
I am going through my wardrobe again too - getting rid of things I got last year that don't work as well as i'd hoped. I need one more casual dress for this summer and then I'm done I think. I also need to black heels. The only ones I have are too high and clumpy www.pinterest.com/pin/122230577357069675/ for most dresses so I need a more classic pair to go with things like the dress

shopafrolic · 12/04/2014 16:00

Santa are you moving locally (apologies if I missed it)?
I meant to say that we've been to a garden centre today and bought a beautiful new bench, a parasol for our garden dining table and some plants. DS rode on a miniature railway train and there was an animal farm too. Good times.

santamarianovella · 12/04/2014 17:00

shop we are moving abroad end of July, had a lenghthy conversation with dh about it and we both agreed that its for the best,it also helped that we finally got a conformation for DSS school, remember the drama I wailed about earlier this year? It finally got resolved, , so I'm here trying to get as much things done as possible.

We are also away for a few days on Tuesday, and not back till following week, just dh I,i will spend all my time lounging on the beach, working on my tan, cant wait! it will be very hot too,

santamarianovella · 12/04/2014 17:01

The very hot reference is related to weather of course Wink

MarshaBrady · 12/04/2014 17:32

Ha Santa we know the real hot Grin

shopafrolic · 12/04/2014 18:09

I've just knocked an entire cup of tea over the keyboard of my MacBook Air. I am weeping :(

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/04/2014 18:40

Oh noooo shop what can be done?? I know with phones you're supposed to submerge them in rice for a few days but I guess this is very impractical with a laptop unless you have a LOT of rice handy??? And a cardboard box or something? :( :(

novice glad DH is recovering and I hope your Dsis is ok. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your time there.

Turq i think I find it quite easy to dress up in the evening partly because I wear dresses+heels for work all the time and also my style personality. I find casual hard! Need comfyish heels though.

I've bought a top to go with Stella skirt. Here, thought it wasn't an option as out of stock in my size but measurements suggested a 12 would be ok for me. I paid £72 with my 20% off and a £25 voucher, so a bargain.

What's with the password reset? I guess it's something to do with everyone keeping getting logged out yesterday?

OneLittleLady · 12/04/2014 18:49

blair there was an incident yesterday where one of MNHQ's accounts was 'hacked' and a nasty thread was started in their name in AIBU. I'm not sure if the password stuff and constant logging out is directly connected to that but it's been going on since that started as far as I'm aware. There's a thread or ten about it in site stuff

LinusDKD · 12/04/2014 18:56

Evening!

blair that is a lovely top but you are a brave woman to wear a croptop!

Oh no shop! I hope it hasn't damaged your macbook!

novice I am so happy to hear your DH is on the mend. I really hope your holiday will go well from now on. And Thanks for DSis!

santa that top is so you! Go on, buy it! Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/04/2014 19:07

Ah thanks One, that sounds scary.

Linus I hope only about 0.5cm of my flesh will be showing, as the skirt comes up to my belly button Wink

LinusDKD · 12/04/2014 19:33

this was the yellow Cos cotton top I saw yesterday.

If the Burberry mac isn't perfect when I try it on Wednesday I might go back and try this on.

santamarianovella · 12/04/2014 20:50

It really sounded wrong when I reread it marsha Grin

shop can you get it repaired?

blair crop top! you teaseGrin ,it suits the skirt perfectly,

linus gorgeous cos top, I can't get the IM I'm trying to be nice, and save for GR shoes, and maybe a celine box bag,
speaking of which I saw these divine beauties I seriously want them all,

LinusDKD · 12/04/2014 21:01

Oh I like that navy python box best santa! They had a lovely small cobalt python box in the Céline shopwindow yesterday.

QueenCadbury · 12/04/2014 22:06

novice glad dh is feeling better Smile
shop stick it in the fridge. That will dry it out.
turq gorgeous shoes but about £400 over budget Grin. For SS I just have 2 blazers which I wear for daytime and going out. I find dressing up in summer hard too as I thnk trousers/jeans look better on me. I find dresses hard to fit as my waist always seems to be in the wrong place and I can't get the proportions of tops and skirts right and always look wrong. I definitely need a couple of going out summer outfits especially as I have 2 parties but I'm putting it off because. Have no idea what to buy!

santamarianovella · 12/04/2014 22:28

queen i honestly dont see what you mean ,to me you are someone with a fab figure, and I'm not trying to be nice or anything. you can wear any dress style,

linus yes! That's what I want too,and the bag with chains,in black.

QueenCadbury · 12/04/2014 22:42

Thanks santa Blush. I think I have a longish body though and my natural waist seems to sit lower than the natural waistline on dresses iyswim so they just never seem to hang right.

santamarianovella · 12/04/2014 22:51

Well if its any consolation to you,I think my waistline is high,Grin and the longer I look at it I "see" it,but then I think ok at least I have a waistline, but I think if anyone really looks at their body ,even models, they will find fault,

Fitted dresses, look really great on you,

shopafrolic · 12/04/2014 23:18

Lovely meal out with DH. Wore my Paige dark Jimmya from Linus, cream A&W blouse and the khaki shoes of love. Ate beautiful food and talked and talked. Lush. I've made an appointment at the Apple store tomorrow but if all else fails DH says we're covered on insurance. So clumsy :(
