blair my feet are sporting a lovely cherry red at the moment.

Next time I might go a bit brighter with a pink or a coral but I always keep in mind the colour of my sandals so that it doesn't clash too much.

LinusDKD · 11/04/2014 15:38

this is the IM Etoile dress I tried on today. I tried a 40 as they didn't have a 38 but the dress just looked wrong on me.

maradesbois · 11/04/2014 16:01

Am writing from the spa pedicure chair in my local nail place, it has a back massage function too and cheap as chips. Have had so much work stress the last couple of weeks it's lovely to sit back and relax for a bit.
blair was going to go for a nude shellac but have changed mind to bright red as think will look best against navy gigis.

linus sounds like a productive day for you. the IM dress is gorgeous & summery shame not right.

MarshaBrady · 11/04/2014 16:59

Haha Santa love both those pics, they look nearly the same.

Shop happy anniversary! but oh no, hope ds is better soon.

Liberty great buy, they look fab.

Linus sounds like a great day. Good news on the Burberry! The IM is gorgeous, but the waist looks high on the model which probably does make it tricky to wear.

Blair and everyone great re little MU. I'm definitely still on for the July one, and should be able to make the mini May one. Good stuff!

Had a good 3/4 day at work, in an actual office/ studio. Just looking at visual stuff and talking about it, so my kind of work. One more thing on Monday, then rest from home until I present. It was funny to go out and find lunch, it has been yonks since I've done that.

MarshaBrady · 11/04/2014 16:59

Mara that sounds like a good antidote to work stress.

MarshaBrady · 11/04/2014 17:02

And overall I think it's easier to go to work after a night out than it is to stay home with the dc!

Decameron · 11/04/2014 17:03

Linus, I am EnvyEnvyEnvy. That coat is sold out in every size here.

Decameron · 11/04/2014 17:05

Yes, I think you are right about that, Marsha. Work sounds good!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/04/2014 18:43

Thanks re nail feedback! All sound good - might go for a classic bright red as I've never had it before.

Your day sounds fab Linus. Envy of the mac. Agree that top is v. Santa, it's lovely.

My shopping trip was rubbish. Ok I was only after a top, and only in local town centre, but seriously... went to H&M, river island and new look. I tried a few silky camis but they really just don't work with my bras (revealing the front and side!) and I'm very average chested. I conclude these tops are to be worn by 12 year olds. Hmm Crop tops were thin on the ground and everything looked so cheap. I think all the online browsing I do has made me fussy when I go to real shops...

Got home and had a trying on session with THE skirt and various tops/shoes. I realised my legs are sort of a grey colour and swiftly broke out the gradual tanner Grin

Anyway, a next-day Asos order of a few things to try might be happening over the weekend (will ask opinions first obv!) ...

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/04/2014 18:51

Oh and I saw this lovely sundress in Sainsbury's, 100% cotton and 100% cotton lined for £18! I want it! But they only had a 16 and a 22. :( Can imagine it looking nice with tan sandals.

LinusDKD · 11/04/2014 18:56

decam the mac better be perfect at that price! I think that size 8 was the last in stock on the UK website.

marsha every time I take the train into town I am surrounded by commuters on their way to work. It is weird to think that was my life before and you mentioning 'going out for lunch' made me feel a bit nostaligic about my old life.

I just loved how that IM dress looked on the hanger and I love the way it looks on a model but it was just so wrong for me. Maybe I should have tried the 36 just to be sure but I was so dissapointed I didn't even want to. Blush

Turquoiseblue · 11/04/2014 18:57

Hello everyone. Phew! Friday s here. Thought it would never come! Off out for dinner with girl friends this evening. Popped into town after work and picked up some fab grey blk dnm jeans, (the search might be over decam) and bargainous goldsigns (though they re a winter colour so will keep them until autumn).
Going to wear jeans with l/s theory pale pink tailed shirt and vblack pointy flats, it s just a local pub.

Have been skim reading.
Marsha - yeay on the job. Yuk on the horrible leery weirdo.
Dry hope you re having a fabulous time tripping the champs élysées Grin
Shop - welcome back, good packing should take tips
Queen - lovely cardi links

Sleep defo sell bags if not using then anymore, I sold a mulberry I fell out f love with - hence the recent purchasesWink

Blair - red nails, love them, oh and coral too.

Mara - great shopping

Foxy- that s such a shame, could you stay on but just not link stuff ? Although what's the point I guess.... You seem so lovely... Sorry you feel you have to go.

Waves to everyone else.

LinusDKD · 11/04/2014 19:01

That is the perfect summer dress blair!

Was very tempted to buy this top for DD today but it was a bit too plastic-y.

Decameron · 11/04/2014 19:28

It is the perfect parka, they had it in a 4 in Westfield but sold out of 10s long ago. It's spoiled all other parkas for me, there is nothing as nice out there!

Glad you found grey jeans, Turquoise, I love grey jeans, must get rid of my black jeans, I never wear them. Have fun tonight.

Yes, a big boo to Foxy's stalker.

I like red on toes, Blair. Hope your Asos order comes up trumps.

LinusDKD · 11/04/2014 19:40

I would have gone for a 10 normally but I will give the 8 a try.

They did show me another coat which was more like a parka and less like a mac so was less structured. I prefer more structured clothes so I didn't try it on.

I have given the navy parka I bought on Asos to a friend as it was swamping me and really didn't suit me.

shopafrolic · 11/04/2014 19:56

There is a beautiful older woman who comes into my hair salon. She must be in her 70s. Long white hair and the most incredible jawline (she's had work, but good work). She wears the most amazing clothes and looks awesome in her Burberry parka. She runs an art gallery somewhere, I want to be that cool at her age.
My camo espadrilles have arrived and are just brilliant. Straight on the feet so I know it's love. The necklace is good too so am pleased.
DH has just announced we have money in the bank we should spend. I thought yay, new outfit. He said, no, new cars! :)
Marsha works sounds fab! YY to it being easier after a night out than childcare. Your talk of visuals and discussion makes me Envy

BrandyAlexander · 11/04/2014 20:09

He's "fine", on IV drips with antibiotics, saline and painkillers. He has a bacterial infection. He thought he had flu, he's been in bed for 4 days. Sorry for the dramatic post, just tired and stressed out. Thanks This isn't quite the holiday i imagined.
