Glad you like it Shop this is B side Grin

Decameron · 10/04/2014 09:07

Shop, I usually hire a kiddy car for DD2 from the concierge in the lower mall, it keeps her happy for longer.

A friend is buying the Gucci disco so all good and I don't have to go through eBay.

What tops did you buy, QueenC? I like Esprit.

Lovely dress and shoes, Grumpy.

Envy of your upcoming trips, Blair and Fedup. I love the US and everything is cheaper there.

santamarianovella · 10/04/2014 09:35

Stokey · 10/04/2014 09:47

Welcome back Shop - am an East-end girl so have only ever been to Westfield Stratford which is a lot less impressive on the designer shop side
but great activities for kids (as long as you don't mind sand and water) now that the Olympic park has opened up.

Great skirt Blair and lovely dress and shoes for Ascot Grumpy

Really like the Zara jacket Liberty linked, may have to get for wedding in fortnight that I still haven't got a dress for

libertychick · 10/04/2014 10:06

Linus come on a shoe and bag shopping expedition to London on 5th of July! (you may need an extra day to actually go shopping though based on previous MU's) Wink

maradesbois · 10/04/2014 10:10

Morning all, what a beautiful sunny day. Going to do a few hours work then head out for a run.

blair v happy for you that you love the skirt, it is gorgeous & was so hoping it would be perfect for you.

Need to pop into town later today to get some last minute holiday bits, will report back if anything of interest!

MarshaBrady · 10/04/2014 11:07

Haha Liberty yes you should come Linus but day for mu and day for shopping is a good idea Grin.

Am reclining in the sun sans dc out with dh, it is divine. Wish I had brought some shorts!

Have fun today Shop will check it out later Sleep, sounds good.

Santa GR are definitely up there for future. Would love some too.

MarshaBrady · 10/04/2014 11:08

Have fun Mara.

Decam good news about the disco.

foxysocks · 10/04/2014 11:54

hello lovelies Smile

just thought i'd pop buy to say hi. I probably won't be around much anymore for a variety of reasons - not spending much this year, have lots of changes work wise on the horizon, and unfortunately my 'style-stalker' still seems to be following me online which is pissing me off A LOT. only option is to step back from online/public chat and links.

wishing you ladies lots of luck and love and stylish choices Wine. xxxxx

Stokey · 10/04/2014 12:18

Foxy style stalker sounds like a nightmare, how awful.

Tory Burch jacket on sale at the Outnet - could it work Grumpy? Find it a bit overpowering with the matching trousers but pretty over a dress.

Which brings me to what I was pondering this morning - has anyone tried the mix and match patterns look? Seen it at lot in the mags but not much in RL

Stokey · 10/04/2014 12:20

And on the mad shoe front glow -in-the-dark anyone?

MarshaBrady · 10/04/2014 12:35

Hey Foxy big wave, be great to have you around come back when you can.

They are fab Stokey.

libertychick · 10/04/2014 13:02

That's hugely annoying Foxy. As Marsha says come back whenever you can - have missed you here over the last few months.

Those shoes would have been perfect for Shop in her wild, clubbing days!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/04/2014 13:37

Thanks mara and Stokey :)

I think pattern clashing is one of those magazine things that's much harder to translate to real life, I'd be up for trying it though. Probably with one simple print (breton or polka dots) with one brighter one. Or breton and leopard.

foxy that sounds annoying and a bit scary. I delurked since you've been away so don't "know" you but just wanted to say good luck with the work changes :)

Found a nice cotton dress - here - and one for DMBL40 here, can see her in it!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/04/2014 15:02

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions - there are some beauties with the exception of Dry's cute and interesting cape thingy. The vintage beaded number is beautiful liberty, as is the cloche hat. I'm trying to decide whether to do the whole vintage look or conventionalise it slightly. It's hard to know quite how to play it as a racing professional - part of me wants to go the whole fashion-heaven hog but on the other hand I have to consider the possibility I may be required to throw buckets of water over horses or put saddles on, so I don't want to be thinking about my clothes too much. I'm just about to venture out to Meadowhell, so I may check out the Zara jacket while I'm there - if it doesn't work with the dress at least it would get plenty of other use, they're so versatile. I bloody love the Vanessa Bruno too...decisions, decisions!

shopafrolic · 10/04/2014 15:15

Dear God what has become of me? I haven't bought anything, and am already home..... :( Shopping was a lot easier pre DS! We've had a good time, got the things we needed (dull), and clothes and shoes for DS. Had a lovely lunch. Saw an actress whose name escapes me.
This thread has changed me - I kept going round saying to DH "but there's nothing I really need". Grin

shopafrolic · 10/04/2014 15:18

I have a child semi fashion related question. I bought these shoes for DS about 3 weeks ago, and he has already absolutely trashed them. He rides a trike and has worn the sides of the toe caps away, down to the leather. I'm just wondering if it's worth taking them back and saying they're not fit for purpose. I paid £45 from Jones - surely they should have lasted longer?

OneLittleLady · 10/04/2014 15:25

grumpy meadowhell as in the meadowhell in the north? If so, you don't live too far from me, we should do lunch Wink

AmberNectarine · 10/04/2014 16:00

My DS went through a phase of doing that shop - I found Geox the most resilient.

Oh btw I'm going to be at the American Vintage Arty Party event the DR are hosting on Sun 27, if you're about :)

libertychick · 10/04/2014 16:08

Oh glad you like them Grumpy. I'm Shock at the thought of having to saddle a horse in heels (even low ones) - do you bring a pair of boots as well? That reality really does make deciding what to wear a lot more difficult. Zara might be a good choice, I don't think I could cope with the idea of a sweaty horse rubbing up against the Vanessa Bruno Grin

Shop definitely bring them back - kids are very hard on shoes but I would expect to get at least 3/4 months heavy use rather than 3 weeks.

Sleepwhenidie · 10/04/2014 16:20

Grin One, we spend a lot of time in the midlands! near Merry Hill shopping centre aka Merry Hell!

Sleepwhenidie · 10/04/2014 16:21

Another unintentional exclamation mark there, thanks iPad Hmm

Sleepwhenidie · 10/04/2014 16:28

Just reading backwards after posting, as per usual.

shop IME Geox are the way forward for the boys, as Amber recommends.

Foxy lovely to see you, sorry you feel you can't hang around Sad

OneLittleLady · 10/04/2014 16:30

sleep i find big shopping centres excruciating. All the air con and heating sends my pain levels through the roof plus all the people pushing and shoving means I get knocked around a lot. My sister's still set on me taking her to London later in the year so i need to steel myself for the London crowds! I don't think she knows how crowded London shopping streets are and how much travel there is on the tubes to get around. think she's going to be in for a shock when we go Wink

shopafrolic · 10/04/2014 16:38

Waves to Foxy lovely to 'see' you. Shame you can't stay with us :(
I went into a Geox store today - will take another look Thanks. I've found the receipt for the Pepino shoes (I rarely keep receipts) so will try and take them back. 26th March they were bought - pretty rubbish.
Amber We've got friends for lunch on the 27th otherwise I would have loved to have met you there. Let me know next time you're that way.
