bigTillyMint · 04/09/2013 21:01

QueenQueenie · 04/09/2013 21:03

beachyhead · 04/09/2013 21:28

6pm good for me! Have surrendered school run to dh!

wilbur · 04/09/2013 22:02

Doubt I can make cocktails, but will try and see if I can dh home earlier than usual.

Cremolafoam · 04/09/2013 22:03

Was thinking Creped CrusadersGrin

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/09/2013 22:16

I am never known to turn down a nice cocktail.

CointreauVersial · 04/09/2013 23:07

By hook or by crook I shall make it for cocktails. DH is under orders to "work from home" on the 20th. Can somebody PM the details of the two venues, so the Surrey Bumpkin can plan her route?

Sorry to hear about all the cancelled medical procedures, and hello Wilbur, we missed you!

Good day back at school for Team Secondary; DD1 is chuffed to be in all the top sets, and DS is slowly coming to terms with the new weekday XBox ban, which is an unfortunate consequence of having arsed about all through Y8.

Blackduck · 05/09/2013 05:57

BTM pencil me in - will try!

Cremo sorry to hear about dds cancelled procedure too....

Herbs - fingers crossed for a good first day!

bigTillyMint · 05/09/2013 06:45

Well, that's me, Cremo, MIWink, Addle, QQ, Stropps, Beachy, MrsS, CV, BD. That's 10. Wilbur's a maybe, what about you, Herbs, Ruby and Alto?
Do you think 10 is enough to wing it and try for a drinks area for 12+?

Good Luck to miniHerbsBoy on his first daySmile

MrsSchadenfreude · 05/09/2013 06:47

At my leaving drinks last night the head honcho made a speech... he referred to my sense of humour, which he felt was illustrated by a card on my desk. I thought, noooo, he can't mention that in polite company - it says "Ahh, nothing better than a nice cup of tea and a bun... apart from six large gins and a shag." But fortunately he chose another one which said "Excellent suggestion Miss Triggs - perhaps one of the men would like to make it?"

MrsSchadenfreude · 05/09/2013 06:48

Oh yes, good luck to the Little Chive on his first day! (You lot must remember the Herb Garden, with Parsley the lion & co. But who remembers the magic word to get into the garden?)

MrsSGrin Is that it now? Do you come back today?

I remember - used to watch it before Nationwide/Look North IIRCSmile

bigTillyMint · 05/09/2013 07:09

x-post, ruby - excellent, I knew you wouldn't let us down! Right as we are now 11, I am going to try to book a drinks area.

Blackduck · 05/09/2013 08:26

Ruby I don't think 'cocktails' is the magic word ;) But maybe it should be....

I have that card MrsS - it makes me :) but it is also so bloody true unfortunately.

Blackduck · 05/09/2013 08:26

MrsS - interviews - any news?

beachyhead · 05/09/2013 08:41

I'm sure we can wing a private area. Do we get a muscled cocktail barman?

QueenQueenie · 05/09/2013 09:24

I'm Dill the dog, I'm a dog named Dill.
Isn't it extraordinary what buried nonsense your mind can access at the mention of the right word? I can picture the Herbs. Parsley the Lion had a beautiful curly tail (like those things you put on crown of lamb a la victorian piano leg covers). he clearly wasn't flat leaf parsley, not in the '70s!

Is the magic word.... Gin? Or maybe Hag?

motherinferior · 05/09/2013 09:50

I'm now going to have 'a very hungry LI-ON called PAR-SLEE' going through my head all morning...

Good luck, Herb-ert. I myself have seen off second child to school and have to have my breasts squeezed round the back of Sainsbury's later, aka an Old Lady Nork Check. Such fun, middle age.

Cremolafoam · 05/09/2013 09:54

Ah Parsley the lion -, I loved him!
Tarragon the dragon !
Ooh fancy us in a roped off drinking area! Grin

OP posts:
QueenQueenie · 05/09/2013 09:55

Lots of middle aged women wouldn't sniff at having their breasts fumbled with round the back of sainsburys MI!

QueenQueenie · 05/09/2013 09:56

Will there be a magnum of champagne with a firework stuck in the top?

beachyhead · 05/09/2013 09:56

Gosh, your Sainsbury's is one step up from mine, MI....
