BRILLIANT woman in Cheltenham did it.

It hasn't worked yet and apparently it can take up to 2 weeks to take effect, but should be apparent in a couple of days.

Didn't hurt - was expecting it to be like those monstrous dental injections. 6 injections, no pain, just slight scratch.

Yay! Hatchet-face BEGONE.

Will report back when I start looking like Gisele Bundchen

Mmm I think the lady herself puts me slightly off cheek fillers (!) though I'm sure she knows how to deliver the natural look. Her eyes are starting to look recessed with the amount of recontouring she's had done. She looks young and natural in her promo shots but who knows they could have been done 10 years ago. Hope she's not reading this. Sorry doc. Love ya work.

Wouldn't rule it out in the future if I was mother of the bride or just something like that.

Lips though. See lips are my thing, I have fairly unluxurious lips and I've recently rediscovered the joy of wearing lipstick from a colour point of view but wish I had a little more lip to display it on. I might have me a 6 month type filler put in to see whether I like the look and if so I'd look into getting the implant - I've considered this in the past before I met Glancey to be honest but never quite knew where to start and decided I was being a bit silly. I probably am. What bothers me about lips is you are actually changing your features whereas Botox is just stopping time on what is otherwise how you look (perhaps with a little brow lift but that's not a major restructural thing is it)

So apart from a potential lip thing I think I will avoid fillers and anything other than my 2 areas for the time being, total embargo till I hit my 40's then its an open mind but I do want to remain moderate in all this. Hell there's stuff I want doing to my body before I start on my face oh dear it is a slippery slope...

I've been talking of body work (tummy tuck and boobs) for years though I think I probably would have done it by now if I was going to. Husband did offer to grow boobs and let his tummy turn to jelly to match mine but I said nah its okay...

TracyK · 29/06/2011 11:57

Do you think they had other work done at the same time - esp the Marie Petterson one - she looks much smoother post 'cheek' work.

TattyDevine · 29/06/2011 12:34

I noticed one of them seemed to have had her tear troughs done, probably with the same filler (they give you your own vial so may as well use it up)

Al0uiseG · 29/06/2011 13:55

I met Marie a couple of years ago, she's DrG's personal practice dummy I reckon. She had the whole thread lift thing with the cheek implants. Havnt seen her there recently though. The tiny lady on reception has had everything done I bet, including Botox around her mouth so she can't talk properly.

I'd like a whole raft of liposuction but if I could just stick to a low carb diet for 6 weeks I wouldn't need it. . If I could actually lose the weight again I'd have a pert pair of implants stuck into my envelope flap tits.

Btw, not sure that running is doing my face any favours at all, my arse is ok but my face is starting to slide off.

GetOrf · 29/06/2011 14:17

The whole thing has given me a real phyical confidence boost.

I am pretty confident in myself iyswim, but not at all in what I look like, as I think I look like a right old baggage. I am finding it is like when you have just had your eyebrows done, you can meet people's eyes with elan, rather than look down and feel shadowed. Does that sound mad?

I have also changed make up a bit, and look a lot better I think.

Now - why have I got cellulite on my stomach? Shall I stop eating big bags of M&Ms. That's my next project - have put on so much weight lately.

GetOrf · 29/06/2011 14:20

Plus - looking at myself in bright sunshine in the rear view mirror whilst driving along no longer makes me depressed.

The non-frowing effect has really taken now - cannot frown at all. I have found though that I am narrowing my eyes instead of frowing (have asked DP to tell me if I start to look mad)

Mmmmm M&M's. Crisp, chocolately, shelly goodness.

Al0uiseG · 29/06/2011 16:18

i need a photo Getorf!

psiloveyou · 29/06/2011 17:54

Mine made hardly any difference at all. I'm going back tomorrow for a top up. I hope that works.

Al0uiseG · 29/06/2011 18:07

Oh no! When did you have it done?

psiloveyou · 29/06/2011 18:29

AlOuiseG Two weeks ago tomorrow. Day before GetOrf I think. I had my crows feet done and my forehead with a view to lifting my eyes.
After a week I could see my crows feet had improved but that has gone now. One eye seems slightly lifted but it's barely noticable.
My measure of success was going to be how many people said I looked well. Not one person has commented and dh said he can't see any change.
I'm going to make the doctor riddle me with the stuff tomorrow Grin

Al0uiseG · 29/06/2011 18:36

Oh yes!!! Top up all the way and tell him that you want the good stuff not the saline with a dash of botox!

psiloveyou · 29/06/2011 18:41

I didn't know you could get a pure version. He did mention saline when he was talking me through the procedure I just thought they were meant to mix it.

Al0uiseG · 29/06/2011 19:07

I think Saline is a carrier, i might be wrong but there is a practitioner near me who has been accused of being a little heavy with the saline.

TattyDevine · 29/06/2011 19:19

Is that my old one Al0uiseG? I am convinced now. My frown is still apparent but she only did one tiny injection in each point of my forehead (though she did two right at the hairline that I'd never had before) and already its kicked in with a vengance. Whatever she is using is definitely stronger than Persona Non gratia used to use!

Also, I have a couple of tender patches on my forehead, in fact I thought this morning I was waking with a massive blindy spot (you know the cysty sort that just don't squeeze and just throb on you for about 3 weeks before finally and slowly reabsorbing) but nothing has come of it and I realise its an entry point, so its actually "done something" - i.e its not a reaction as such, but its apparent that she actually injected me with something!

To be fair the first time I went to himself I was REALLY pleased - he probably gives a good percentage mix to "new clients" and I was pleased enough with the 2nd lot to be fair but I think perhaps he thinks he can get away with using less on repeat customers because their muscles have become weak but what he must have forgotten with me on my last lot is that I hadn't come for ages (I had 4 months "au natural") as I had pneumonia and was on and off 6 different sets of antibiotics over the first few months of this year and Botox is contraindicated, so as someone who was only on their 3rd ever set and who had not had it for 9 months, I was like new.

Anyway, I'm only musing, but I suspect that's why I was previously happy and am now not - though I was never 100% happy with my frown and am still not - but I think a top up will sort it if its not right by the weekend. I think my frown is genuinely strong. But if that's what he's doing, he's being a tightwad, and he should realise people talk. And how I love to talk. Grin

Al0uiseG · 29/06/2011 19:30

I was just spreading your rumour Tatty! Wink. I do love a conspiracy theory though :o

TattyDevine · 30/06/2011 16:18

Well, ladies, its been 3 days now since I was done and I am looking slightly vulcanesque of brow but in a good way I think, to be fair my hair is scraped off my face todays so my forehead is very exposed whereas usually the arch of one brow is covered by my sweep fringe so I think I keep catching it in the mirror because its just all there IYSWIM

Can still frown slightly but its an effort, so I'll stop trying (!) but I think a top up in those Monday week will see me a very satisfied customer and I wouldn't imagine I'll be having to see her again until sometime in October.

psiloveyou · 30/06/2011 18:22

I've just been topped up so will wait and see what happens.

FellatioNelson · 30/06/2011 18:31

I want some. Sad I have had botox and fillers in the past - I was 40 when I first had them done, and had about three sessions of botox, two of fillers. The fillers last tons longer but they hurt like buggery. Definitely take all the painkilling injections you are offered.

I haven't had any for about 3 years now (I was frightened of getting addicted and bankrupting myself) but I think I deserve some more now. I look like so tired all the time, and I am developing dark tear troughs.

Pag - I suffer from miserable face syndrome as well. My eyes and my mouth both naturally turn down. They have done it all my life, even before old age set in.

Alouiseg have I seen you since you had yours? I did think you looked very young and fresh last time I saw you, but you always do TBH.

Thanks for the tip on you know who. I was thinking of going there, in spite of all the dodgy business.

TattyDevine · 30/06/2011 18:45

Fellatio - you are well placed to see the one me and Alouisereg have just seen - in terms of value for money, she's as good as any, what with the top ups and the 10% discount if you return within 4 months...

FellatioNelson · 30/06/2011 19:24

Yep. I'm going. Not yet, but in a month or two. I've decided. I'm aready scared about the tear troughs though. It's such a fragile papery area, and I am such a coward delicate flower.

Al0uiseG · 30/06/2011 19:44

Yes you saw me Fellatio but we were drunk as skunks and it was a boiling hot day! Definitely go to Dr Glancey, you can inspect the receptionist for over done-ness.

If you have the tear trough procedure I'm coming to watch hold your hand.

FellatioNelson · 30/06/2011 20:26

Oh that must have been why you looked all peacy and beautiful - it was my beer goggles. Grin

FellatioNelson · 30/06/2011 20:26

peachy. Hmm
