Sitting down to watch now. Was going to stay out in the sun but watching it behind means keeping off of Instagram, and I've never managed to escape the spoilers when I've done it.

So pleased for Lewis and he looks so happy to be on the podium again.

Second race in a row Mercedes have outperformed Ferrari, I wonder if Hamilton is having any doubts about next year. Trajectory definitely seems to be with McLaren and Mercedes before the summer break.

Really pleased to see Lewis on the podium, but that was pretty dull. I had a nap from laps 40-53 😁

I’ve not see the race as I was busy today. Just seen the result, Max is slowly getting caught by the other teams. Hopefully by the end of the season he will be more in the mix.

Really pleased for Lewis. The Alpines have done well to get in the points.

The commentators were really desperately trying to keep some suspense in it, saying maybe Lando can catch Max...he was 3 seconds behind with less than 10 laps to go. Never happening!

There is definitely a sense that RB are fallible now though, a little, and are not getting everything their way. Checo is not representing well at all either.

Poor perez I really like him as a person and he's had a fantastic career in f1 but his head is just not in the game right now hope he can rediscover his form

There was some good racing in the top 10 today. Loved the way George got in front on lap 1 and also the side by side with Lando. It was a shame that there wasn't closer racing for the win but from where we were at Bahrain (completely disillusioned) to now, we've come a long way. 2025 is hopefully going to be even better.
Really happy for Lewis. Got his mojo back! I didn't like what he was implying about Mercedes trying to sabotage him after all they've been through together. Hope he gets to leave on a high.

Managed to watch C4 highlights. Georges start was brilliant. Some good overtakes and different tyre strategies. So pleased for Lewis.

Just checking the stats. That was Lewis’ 198th podium, that is over 50% of the races he has competed in. Apparently he has had at least one podium in every one of his 18 season’s.

Alonso is on 387 race starts, if he competes to AD he will hit 400+. Ruben’s got to 322 and Kimi 349. Lewis should move up to 356 by the end of the year. That is so impressive of both Alonso and Lewis, particularly as they plan to race in 2025 and that in their early years there were far less races in a season.

Just watched the highlights on channel 4. Good to see lando on the podium. Very nice to have lewis up there with him.
Constructors championship is looking interesting!

Really enjoyed the race, even managed to stay awake for it despite watching after bedtime and being loaded with a cold.

So nice to see meaningful on track action, even if the championship is only going one way.

I think he's called it right, especially if they manage to sign Newey which they surely have. Fred is doing going things, it's just going to take a while. One championship with Ferrari will add more to his legacy than three more with Mercedes or McLaren iykwim.

Loved the Mercedes overtake at the start I was shouting loudly come on Lewis!!! then heard them say it was George 😂still a great overtake tho !

He's just home today and had the time of his life although is very very red 🤦‍♀️

Lance Stroll to stay at Aston Martin for another 2 years. Theoretically as he is only 25 he could keep on going for another 10-15 years.

Pierre Gasly to stay at Alpine also for 2 years. I do feel for Ocon.

Feels weird to have the sprint race at 11 this morning.

Got to say Piastri looks the better option this weekend. He's been looking like he has the edge over Norris for a while.
