Ear wax lump from hell

I’ve had earache for a couple of weeks, well today I touched my ear and was like “what the hell is that”. A HUGE lump of wax was hanging halfway out of my ear.

Are you ready for this?? I still can’t believe it 🤣

I feel very silly but i disposed of her too soon! I took a few pics and put her in the bin (RIP Ruby)

I had no pockets and felt a bit weird carrying my lump of mummified hairy wax around the park 🫣

I was laying in bed picking at the skin one night as the skin felt so unbelievably tight, when my whole ear shed layers of dry skin, that came off in one whole large piece exactly like a snake shedding its skin.

That happened to me when both my ears got sunburned. The skin that came off was like a spooky ghost ear.

I remembered to put sunscreen on them after that.

Wax will naturally find its way out eventually as it’s the only way it can go. That’s why it’s dangerous to prod and poke to try and remove it. Have experienced smaller lumps just randomly appearing in my hair near my ears over the years !

Also the people saying they see faces in it… it’s funny because I kept being reminded of something when I looked at the picture… then I realised! Ruby Wax is giving total grinch vibes! 😂 maybe a little Chewbacca too.

Years ago at work I felt something pop at my ear and I found a perfectly spherical ball of something that looked like your creature. I stormed over to the security guard to demand why he was throwing things at me and lo and behold that’s when I learnt it was a wax ball. I’ll never forget it (and Melvin, the security guard)

It looks like a sheep turd. Or a miniature duck. Why are there longish hairs on it? You must have been completely deaf.

I had a similar one to that once - managed to blast my ear with my very high pressure shower one morning when washing my hair - had a horrible ear ache after.

Went to work. Was working at a table with a group of Refeption children and the pain suddenly rocketed and I had to stop - suddenly a wax lump almost identical to the one on hear popped out and landed on the table! Kids found it hilarious and wanted me to “do the trick again” on the other side. The relief was immense.
