Ear wax lump from hell

I’ve had earache for a couple of weeks, well today I touched my ear and was like “what the hell is that”. A HUGE lump of wax was hanging halfway out of my ear.

Are you ready for this?? I still can’t believe it 🤣

That's making me gag a bit, I think this thread needs a sensitivity warning tbh. I'm not weak stomached but looks like a piece of dried up poop with hair through it. It's pretty gross.

Christ alive! Were you not deaf as a post in that ear before that emerged? Look at the size of it - I'd have thought that would be like wearing an actual noise-cancelling earplug.

I can only begin to imagine the sense of satisfaction upon pulling that out.

That is a cracker! I got a good one a couple of years ago but maybe not even half the size of yours.

As an ex practice nurse i used to irrigate ears...seen this often and worse! Not my favourite job but definitely one of the most satisfying - people instantly got their hearing back!

You can get tumours that grow teeth, hair and other differentiated tissues. I did an essay on it during my degree and out of everything (immunology, so infectious diseases, parasites, fungal infections etc) that is the thing that weirded me out the most.
