Ear wax lump from hell

I’ve had earache for a couple of weeks, well today I touched my ear and was like “what the hell is that”. A HUGE lump of wax was hanging halfway out of my ear.

Are you ready for this?? I still can’t believe it 🤣

You can get the little ear cameras quite cheap. We have one from Temu. Sadly my ears are quite low producing but DH did his at the weekend. The app for the camera is on my phone so he started exploring and I was like, "You must never do this without me." It was glorious. Nothing as substantial as the OP but absolutely fascinating! We spent a lovely time digging around! Ah, marriage!

Haha! Yep I'd have to slice through to inspect inside, then probably squish one half, flatten it out.

You should make something out of it 🤣 Anyone you secretly don't like... A special gift of African bronzed resin...

Using buds will have contributed to this, surely everyone knows by now that you shouldn't put them in your ears?!
I've had blocked ears before but had to use drops/water jets to get it out, it's never been a lump like that! I'm shocked you could hear anything!

We bought those ear cameras and a couple of years ago something almost identical came out of DS’s ear. He couldn’t believe it either. Amazing yours came out by itself

I know it is probably some kind of taboo or forbidden behaviour on Sporner's Corner to say what I am about to say but ... I'm having trouble believing that is ear wax. It is black to begin with and then then the size ... and the hairs. It looks like turd, if anything.

I knew what it would be, I knew I'd like it but also not yet I still had a look 😂 had to, but yeah that's gross haha

It’s amazing that yours came out on it’s own OP! As we get more “mature” our ears are not as efficient at clearing themselves out. Olive oil is good for softening wax. There are also lots of private audiologists nowadays who (for a fee, usually around £50) will use gentle suction to clear any stuck wax. Ear syringing with water not really recommended nowadays.

And blatantly flaunting their good fortune…

Not sure about using your hand for scale OP, you'd have been better with a Ford Fiesta.

Take her to get them checked/removed at a pharmacy. Loads of places remove ear wax now.

Did this by any chance happen in the summer time? Sunburn could do that ☀️ The skin dries and comes off, in your case in one awesome piece.

i know someone this happened to. Had massive lump thought the worse, went in for the op to remove and it was a twin. Had teeth and hair! Was in their 40s when this happened.

my niece was a twin too (ivf) then when my sister went for one of her scans the second embryo was gone. Quite early on in pregnancy, no bleeding. So we always say to my niece she’s probably absorbed it.
