Ear wax lump from hell

I’ve had earache for a couple of weeks, well today I touched my ear and was like “what the hell is that”. A HUGE lump of wax was hanging halfway out of my ear.

Are you ready for this?? I still can’t believe it 🤣

That's impressive 🎉I've actually seen one of these weird hairy little buggers in the wild and posted on here before about DP producing something similar. He was so shocked/impressed/worried about it that he wrapped in a tissue to keep it safe so he could show me when I got home from work. Like yours it was large and hairy and we both looked on in awe and wonder.

Ok I am really confused how you never noticed it there until it got this big? Do you never touch your ears? Did it suddenly appear?? Whats the deal here?? Did noone tell you? Have you been walking around with it sticking out??

That is a beaut! Thanks for sharing. It’s totally normal to get hairs in your ears. Some people naturally grow them but also hair from cuts can fall in. (I watch a lot of ear wax removal videos).

I had my ears stringed many years ago and had a similar size piece of wax come out. Such a feeling of satisfaction when it plonked into the metal dish. Incredible that it came out on its own.

A few years ago I went deaf in one ear. I initially attributed it to catarrh because I’d had a stinking cold. But when the cold was well and truly cleared up and all snot resolved, I was still deaf, so I decided to go down the olive oil in the ear route.

A few days of that, and when I touched the tissue to my ear to soak up the excess olive oil, I felt something sticking out. A little delving with a cotton bud (I know) produced something smaller and paler than OP’s example, but equally satisfying. I also couldn’t believe something so big had been in my ear and I didn’t know. And all of a sudden I could hear again!

Lord if that had fallen out of my lug we could be 95.8% sure my literal brain had fallen out my ear 😂! Do you weirdly feel like you want to keep it? I only ask because I know that’s what I would be thinking (obv in the 4.2% chance it wasn’t my brain) 😂
