It hurts. It is so sore. And I'm fat. So getting to it is not easy. But is doable.

Hello! Apologies for the silence. Bruce did me dirty. The rotten fucker. He just kind of shrank. I got nothing. No porridge. Not a drop of blood. He just got smaller and smaller and now he's a very small hard litter bump.
What a prick.

He might well come back. I had a really satisfying abscess under my arm which mostly emptied over the course of 3 or 4 highly enjoyable days, but there was an obstinate little lump left which just wouldn't shift. Over the next two or three years it would occasionally flare up a bit but never did anything dramatic. Then last year it flared up more promisingly, and I was just planning a sterilised needle assault when I realised it had opened of its own accord. This time it was slightly more willing to give up its contents - it wasn't as good as the initial abscess, but with some very determined squeezing there were some good chunks flying out, and the lump has now gone.
