Sorry for crap pic quality, had to do some careful cropping as its on my inner thigh!

Had this for weeks now, looks like a spot but is quite hard and very sore to touch. Tried squeezing but nothing happening Blush

I like that kit but it looks as though it's missing something very sharp and pointy, which is disappointing.

Flisspaps · 28/05/2016 08:48

Mardle I think the sharp pointy thing is on the middle stick with a blue plasticky cover on

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/05/2016 09:00

Yes! Pointy thing has little plastic cover.

Additions to kit (if it's going in YouTube)
Small child/dog wandering about.
Nasty chipped and slightly grubby nails.
Several drunk friends who will exclaim "woah duuuude" or "ew ew ewww, that's so gross!" Constantly.
Toilet roll.
Grin

LuluJakey1 · 28/05/2016 10:02

A knife or a blade, very sharp and very fine with a pointed tip, that is what is missing. A very sharp, fine blade with a point for piercing and slicing open large boils. An essential. drifts into fantasy of Dr Lulu Lee

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/05/2016 10:17

It's got one Lulu - the one with the "sharp needle tip" that has a little plastic cover in the picture. It's definitely sharp enough to make a little opening in the side of those hard lumpy things.

Not a scalpel though Sad

LuluJakey1 · 28/05/2016 10:37

Personally, I like the blade to be bigger and have a very sharp point. Some of these boils/cysts/abscesses have a very thick membrane. said with medical confidence having never dealt with one personally ever

I like this kit though- very portable were you called out to deal with the smaller sporn varieties or to carry constantly so you can be 'on the spot' if needed.

Tiggeryoubastard · 28/05/2016 11:10

I can't wait for my zit kit to arrive - how I've lived happily this long without one I'll never know. I feel it's the missing piece of the jigsaw that is my life. Smile

Littlegreyauditor · 28/05/2016 13:25

Had I known that dermatologists get to empty blackheads for a living my career would certainly have taken a different path. I feel professionally unfulfilled as I so very rarely get to see pus, and when I do it's seriously manky and in no way squeezable. Sad

Oh well. I'll have to remain a plucky amateur.

ellenanora5 · 28/05/2016 17:00

Just checking for an update (sigh)

TheWizardOfOs · 28/05/2016 17:14

I'm here! I'm here!

The OP may now get on with it.

Checking in

MardleBum · 30/05/2016 14:29

I'm now worried in case the OP's zit turned out to be a pilonidal sinus and she's having horrid surgery as we speak don't google, okay do but don't say you weren't warned.

lonerboner · 30/05/2016 14:46

Always listen to the PP .... Shock

LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2016 19:12

mardle It was on her leg! It wasn't a pilondal sinus. Could all have been sorted out with a Stanleyknife blade, a big squeeze and a slosh of neat Dettol.

ellenanora5 · 30/05/2016 20:34

Still nothing, what's happening op!!

Littlegreyauditor · 02/06/2016 22:57

My dissection kit arrived! Lovely, lovely, lovely. Of course I now have nothing promising to attack with it. Angry
My mum has already used hers on a few recurring blackheads on my dad's back. She was deeply enthused by the result. Dad is unimpressed and would like me to say "I am a psychotic deviant, and so are all of you"

This from a man who once attacked a wart with nitric acid. High praise indeed.

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/06/2016 00:06

So pleased you're pleased - the kit is a thing of beauty, isn't it? Grin

Tiggeryoubastard · 03/06/2016 09:43

My selfish partner hasn't grown anything of interest Sad
I've taken to feeding him shite and hiding his facewash. One lives in hope.

ellenanora5 · 03/06/2016 12:50

Oh lovely Littlegrey, may you have many years ahead of satisfactory use Grin

(i sometimes find that if you pick a little bit on a daily basis at the very corner of your nail you might just get a little something gooey after a few days)

Disclaimer.....I have never done this, ever Blush
