This is the feedback thread for the 100 Mumsnetters who hosted a baby massage class in their home, courtesy of WaterWipes. For those who did not attend, there’s still a chance for you to win – please see details below.

Here’s what WaterWipes has to say: “We know that the first few months can be an unnerving time for new parents. Baby massage is a great way to strengthen the natural bonds between parent and baby and we hope these free classes with a qualified teacher will give parents a fun and informative experience as well as equipping them with some new skills and the confidence to trust that they are all their baby needs”

Attendees, please answer the following questions on your experience at the event, and if you were a host, answer the survey we’ve sent as well:

  1. What did you and your friends think of the WaterWipes baby massage class?
  2. Did you feel the class provided a bonding experience for you and your baby?
  3. Do you feel you took away some new skills or knowledge?

All attendees who give their feedback on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Boots voucher and 3 month’s supply of WaterWipes!

Non-attendees, for your chance to win a £150 Boots voucher and 3 month’s supply of WaterWipes, please answer the question below:
What are the moments you most enjoy with your baby?

Thanks and good luck!

Playing with my baby and making funny faces

compy99 · 01/11/2017 00:36

non-attendee, my fav moments were first thing in the morning, so lovely to see a little face beaming when they first see you when they wake up.

createbeauty · 01/11/2017 06:08

Non-attendee - The moments I most enjoy with my baby are all of them except the crying moments!
I love cuddling with him and seeing him interact with new objects. He is such a joy to be around!

AR2012 · 01/11/2017 08:41

'Non attendee. The moments I enjoyed the most are when i had my baby resting on my chest. I felt at peace.

happysouls · 01/11/2017 12:51

Non-attendee
With my son I used to love bathtimes together and him going off to sleep in my arms. My grandaughter went off to sleep in my arms on the last visit and it was really lovely! A great feeling of contentment!

Hmumto3 · 01/11/2017 12:57

Non attendee - I most enjoy the smiles and cuddles between us, and ofcourse all the precious 1st moments

southernsun · 01/11/2017 13:02

Non Attendee, those moments where he is discovering something new for the first time and trying to take in the new information/experience.

CatRash · 01/11/2017 14:36

Breastfeeding her - it's something that only I will ever experience with her which makes it extra special!

SSCRASE123 · 01/11/2017 15:28

They've passed now but anytime he/she used to just fall asleep in my arms gave me an enormous sense of satisfaction

svalentine60 · 01/11/2017 19:59

In the middle of the night when the house is quiet and its just me and her. I chat away for ages and cuddle her. its a lovely time with no distractions.

rhinosuze · 01/11/2017 20:53

Non attendee - my favourite moments with my baby were just cuddling and when she reacted to things with smiles or giggles. Would love to go back to that time for a day

Jade5093 · 01/11/2017 20:57

Moments I enjoy with my baby are time alone. Sometimes its when others are asleep, out or at school etc.

Thistly · 01/11/2017 21:59

I would enjoy the 6 am cuddle, but he kicks so much!
So I enjoy him learning new things. Making towers and knocking them over, putting track together for his train, cuddles with his soft toys.

What don't I love!

I think its when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night, I know some folk swear about it, but as I home ed my other children, I love it when me and the babe get to snuggle up, my husband will go and make me a warm drink & we will all watch some rubbish telly and my babe will bf...these are memories that I will treasure forever. x

maisiesnan · 03/11/2017 13:27

Non Attendee, My favourite time from bath time up to being put into the cot. Seeing her enjoying splashing in the bath, then having a lovely long cuddle while she winds down and falls asleep. It's a magical time

sarat1 · 03/11/2017 15:37

The moments I most enjoy with my newborn baby is that time at the start of the day after the first feed, when he is alert and gazing at me with such intent focus as if I am the only thing in his world.

Sara13579 · 03/11/2017 18:15

1.What did you and your friends think of the WaterWipes baby massage class?
What a wonderful class and fantastic opportunity to get together with my new mummy friends and learn some new skills to help us bond with our little ones! Our teacher was amazing, she was so friendly, funny and informative! The class was taught at a good pace for everyone, we covered a lot in the time allotted and we all left with a new confidence in our ability to relax and help our babies. All the mums said they enjoyed the class and learned a lot plus we all enjoyed the goodie bags!

2.Did you feel the class provided a bonding experience for you and your baby?
Yes, all the babies were so calm and happy throughout the class, it was very baby-led and we all left feeling a closer connection with our little ones after experiencing the intimacy of massage.

3.Do you feel you took away some new skills or knowledge?
Definitely! Before the class I’d tried massaging my little one but it was more of just giving her a squidge everywhere and hoping she liked it. After the class we all felt like we had a better undertaking of the affects that each element of the massage had on our little ones body. Great class!

quokka5 · 03/11/2017 23:09

Non attendee. My favourite moments are when i watch mum hold my 6 month old son, who is her first grandchild. It's wonderful to see the joy in her eyes as she sings to him and he giggles with delight.
