The prize draw for this activity has now closed.

Most people spend their time counting down the days until their family holiday as soon as the flights and accommodation are booked. Family holidays give us a chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but most importantly allow us to let loose and have fun. Maybe you’re an adrenaline junkie who heads for the biggest slide at the waterpark or perhaps your idea of fun is basking in the sun at the poolside with a good book in hand. With this in mind, TUI wants to hear about your most fun family holiday.

Here’s what TUI have to say: “At TUI, we know that your family holiday is a time to reconnect and have fun. That’s why we’ve designed hotels especially for families to make it the best week, or two, of the year. From allowing you to take your car seat or pushchair with you free of charge, to offering baby changing facilities, kids’ clubs and children’s buffets in resort, we’ve thought of every little detail to give you a hassle free and family-friendly holiday. We’d love to hear from Mumsnetters about their favourite holiday moments with their family.”

If you were asked to name one family holiday that is most memorable to you as being “fun”, what would you say and why? What type of holiday do you feel you can get the most fun out of? Would you rather spend your time in good company, basking in the good weather or eating good food? What kind of activities do you do to make memories with your children on holiday? Perhaps you all jump into the pool the second you arrive at the resort? Or maybe you’d rather go on a family excursion to see the local sights and scenery?

Tell us about your most fun family holiday on the thread below and you will be entered into a prize draw where 1 MNer will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

We had the most amazing time at an all inclusive resort on Cyprus. The weather was amazing, the area was beautiful and the accommodation was perfect.
But most of all, the fabulous pools were huge and full of fun features that DD loved to explore. There was plenty of space around the pool area to relax and the bars were close by.
We all got so much out of that holiday and reminisce about it often.

Our last holiday where DC were old enough to occupy themselves swimming whilst I read a book in the shade was pretty awesome. I also adored the fact that I didn’t need to think about feeding them. All inclusive was a new experience for us and one I’ll definitely repeat if at all possible.

We went on our first foreign and all inclusive holiday around 5 years ago at Port Aventura and just wow! Our then 2 DC's were 7 and 9,included were unlimited passes for the theme park and water park and also a little train to the town and beach. It was amazing and the kids loved eating endless ice cream and having juice whenever especially with the heat. We laughed non stop and made really magical memories.

The best is the holiday we went to in the summer with my 2 daughters, my husband and my brother. We went camping in the Netherlands, we went camping and it was amazing, it was extra special to see my daughters interacting with their uncle and he was an extra adult so we could kick back and relax.

We booked to go to Tingaki in Kos Greece, being a family of 5 we needed a little of everything so we could all enjoy ourselves.
From getting on the plane I knew we had made the right choice.
We had a family room so that we could all be together , but what was fantastic and great fun was the kids entertainment , they loved it and so did we , there was a morning session and an evening one too. Just down on the beach they had water sports , oh the laughs for the older ones including me lol, we were not to fussed with a water park as you make your own fun and games in the hotel pool. Entertainment was great a must for a good holiday for both children and adults , all in all a great happy family holiday

We have had so many fun holidays but one of the best was Lake Garda. Jumping in the lake endless times off the pier. Eating pasta until it came out of our ears. Pedalos and more jumping in the lake. Speed boat and then pulling up to jump in the lake again. Good job it was boiling hot! Loved every minute.

My DH hates flying but we finally managed to get him on a plane this summer so we could take our first proper family holiday in 10 years! As it was a bit of a landmark we went all out and had two weeks in a luxury resort with extended family and had an amazing time. I'm not usually into group things but we were all very low-key and sensible and not in each other's pockets, and all the kids had a ball just hanging out with their cousins in waterparks, theme parks, restaurants and swimming pools (we are usually spread across four different countries). A few days into the holiday we heard the magical words "next time we're away..." and I'm keeping everything crossed that we won't have to wait 10 years for the next time.

Had a fabulous time with my parents, Sister and other family members in Lanzarote. We stayed in a little apartment complex which was lovely, a pool, snack bar and the main strip and beach a short 5 minute walk away. Perfect weather and perfect company.

Our last holiday, self catering in Scotland, was our best so far. We were very lucky with the weather, so it was gorgeous all week and we found 2 or 3 lovely beaches that we could go back to. We have a large age gap in our family so there aren't many activities that can fit all ages but we had picnics, ice cream, fossil hunting, paddling and running like hell up and down the beach depending who you were.

It helped reduce stress levels knowing everyone had something to do and was happy. We're going back again next summer so fingers crossed for good weather again, staying right next to one of the beaches so DS can take himself off to run.

Two family holidays stand out: firstly the triple centred: Cape Town, Safari and Seychelles we did a few years back.... kids were blown away, it was so different from anything we'd done with them before. great food, landscapes, animals and adventures in South Africa, then relaxing, luxury, more great food and fun activities like catamaran trips, jungle zip lines, kayaking through mangroves...first rate.

Secondly, first time I took life's abroad post divorce... blew the budget on a Caribbean cruise and it was perfect for us at that time as kids were old enough to have a lot of freedom on board, we had some onshore adventures that were fun and easily organised and the food and entertainment on board were great. I was surprised by how good it was.

This years Disneyworld holiday was fun packed with rides, shows and good food in a wonderful hotel with a great pool. We loved the fast paced excitement this holiday gave us and also the chill out time at the pool until after dark.

Our holiday in France in 2017 when my son tried a waterslide for the first time. He absolutely loved it and it is now the bottom line requirement for every holiday. Wherever we go needs waterslides, a decent pool and a playground.

Lapland! It was the most beautiful scenery with lots of chance for playing in the snow, sledging, and winter sports activities.

I don't think we've had many family holidays that weren't fun. Smile

We love our holidays. We enjoy spending time together, good food, good wine, having a laugh together, relaxing, seeing new places, sometimes playing some sport, hopefully a bit of sunshine, and doing something different.

Our most fun family holidays are one where my two toddler boys have lots of activities to do. They love soft play and swimming. Holidays that are very are very family friendly are crucial.
It needs to be relaxing, easy to get around (especially with a pram) and safe for young children.

Our best family holidays were in caravan parks on the Isle of Wight or in the New Forest as kids. We all went, cousins, grandparents, friends and it was a riot, such lovely days out, evenings in the club and then after hours in the caravans with snacks and music.

It has to be when I went away with my parents and my brothers!! We booked a villa in Turkey for a 8 days! We spent the evenings throwing each other in the pool, winding our neighbours up (even though they were located across a field) and playing Black Jack till our eyes gave up!

We visited fantastic water parks and ate awesome food but the silly things we got up to have stayed with me that bit longer!

For our first family holiday we went to Corfu with Tui. My babies were 1 and 3 and we were made to feel so welcome. Tui kids club made a fuss of my toddler and my baby was invited to baby only sessions where he could paint and play. Mealtime were relaxed and friendly and every night there was a mini disco for the kids - which the toddler talked about for a whole year afterwards. We have used Tui ever since!
