The prize draw for this activity has now closed.

Most people spend their time counting down the days until their family holiday as soon as the flights and accommodation are booked. Family holidays give us a chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but most importantly allow us to let loose and have fun. Maybe you’re an adrenaline junkie who heads for the biggest slide at the waterpark or perhaps your idea of fun is basking in the sun at the poolside with a good book in hand. With this in mind, TUI wants to hear about your most fun family holiday.

Here’s what TUI have to say: “At TUI, we know that your family holiday is a time to reconnect and have fun. That’s why we’ve designed hotels especially for families to make it the best week, or two, of the year. From allowing you to take your car seat or pushchair with you free of charge, to offering baby changing facilities, kids’ clubs and children’s buffets in resort, we’ve thought of every little detail to give you a hassle free and family-friendly holiday. We’d love to hear from Mumsnetters about their favourite holiday moments with their family.”

If you were asked to name one family holiday that is most memorable to you as being “fun”, what would you say and why? What type of holiday do you feel you can get the most fun out of? Would you rather spend your time in good company, basking in the good weather or eating good food? What kind of activities do you do to make memories with your children on holiday? Perhaps you all jump into the pool the second you arrive at the resort? Or maybe you’d rather go on a family excursion to see the local sights and scenery?

Tell us about your most fun family holiday on the thread below and you will be entered into a prize draw where 1 MNer will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

My most fun filled holiday was when my daughter was small and we didn't have a lot of money so we went on a trip around the coast stopping at different places for the night or a couple of nights in b&b's until our money ran out. It was a brilliant holiday with lots of laughs

Our first holiday abroad to an all inclusive in Menorca with our twins was amazing, we spent months before planning everything to make it as stress free as possible everything was planned to "MAKE IT WORK" from the times of the flights, distance from airport, to when we had lunch followed by sleeps for the kids etc. We read up on reviews and arranged our packing so if our rooms weren't ready we could utilise the pools etc. The kids had the best time, they were brilliant on the plane, they slept most of the way and their ears didn't hurt them. They both behaved and ate well in the restaurants, you would not have known they were only three at the time. It was the best time we have ever had on holiday and i am sure its down to how well we planned it.

A trip to Kenya to do a safari. it was great as we had a hotel on the beach for the rest of the holiday. Good weather, a nice sandy beach, clear waters and decent food.

Our most fun family holiday was going on a weekend cottage break in the Peak District. During the day we went exploring the local countryside, saw some amazing sights and the in the evening we sat in the cottage with a real log fire and played board games together.

It was super simple but the perfect time together as a family.

Camping in North Wales 2 summers ago. To break the drive, we stopped at Legoland on the way which was amazing fun. Then blessed with gorgeous weather, we had a glorious week exploring beautiful beaches and stunning countryside. It was a very relaxed holiday - no stressful airports to contend with - and we all remember it fondly.
