Having a baby for the first time can be quite a daunting experience, especially when it comes to ensuring you’re fully kitted out with everything you need. What to buy? What not to buy? What actually works? What is actually worthing spending money on? Mumsnet would love you to take a look at the products on our new reviews section and choose your favourite.

Here’s what Mumsnet has to say: “Mumsnet, has relaunched its independent Reviews section as part of its mission to make parents’ lives easier - by helping you choose the best products for pregnancy, babies and toddlers.

The new Reviews section features both new products and Mumsnet user favourites, all tested by real parents in real-life situations (not in a lab). Unlike other reviews sites, brands don't pay to be reviewed; products are selected after extensive research into market bestsellers, expert advice and the opinions of Mumsnet users. During testing, products are pushed to the limit to make sure they will serve new parents well.

There are currently 19 review categories — including travel systems, changing bags, maternity bras and high chairs — each feature a buyers’ guide, and up to five ‘Mumsnet Best’ products. These include the overall winner and winners of more specific sub-categories (e.g. “best for small homes” in the strollers category).”

Whatever your favourite item product is, post the link to it on the thread below and you’ll be in with the chance of winning one of the following prizes:

Thanks and good luck!

I have two favourite products, my Maclaren pushchair which was so lightweight and easy to maneouvre, as well as easy to clean and use for pretty much all age ranges. I also absolutely couldn't have survived without my Baby Dan playpen, a godsend when I needed the loo or to cook.

Once I discovered the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Travel Bottle Warmer - my life became infinitely easier!
I was stressed about everything when LO was newborn, this stress increased tenfold when breastfeeding didn't work out for me.
This bottle warmer meant I felt so much confident taking LO out & about as I didn't have to worry about how, when or where I would prepare his bottle. It was also great for night feeds as I could take up the bottle in a coolbag & then warm with the bottle warmer without having to go up & downstairs.
It's only £8 but I'd have paid 10x that! :)
It's the little things eh?!

Can't beat this as a maternity and nursing bra
www.bravadodesigns.com/uk/products/body-silk-seamless-yoga?variant=26455035787
At first I thought I liked the mumba bra beat but it hasn't stood the test of time well and is bobbly round the edges, however this one has seen more use and washes and is still going strong and like new with my almost 9 month old yanking at it!

I think it is good to invest in better baby carrier. We bought one very cheap first from Aldi and had to return it, because it caused pain in our backs. Later we bought an other one> www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B011N1ETF6/ref=asc_df_B011N1ETF651752328/?hvlocphy=9044964&linkCode=df0&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=224433702628&creative=22110&creativeASIN=B011N1ETF6&th=1&hvpos=1o1&hvdev=c&hvtargid=pla-421867197728&hvrand=9312970704094102629&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
It worth the money, because this baby carrier is comfortable and later on when the baby is bigger you can put the her or him to face the World.

I was blessed with 3 very good sleepers. But once they could sit on they're own that's when the chaos started the only thing that amused them was the Jumparoo. I have bought a Jumparoo for each and every one of my Nephews/nieces that have become parents.

The Dr Brown's Natural Flow bottles. My little boy had terrible reflux and colic and I tried every bottle, gripe water, colic drops etc and nothing worked. These bottles though saved my sanity. They helped my baby be much more settled during and after a feed and helped him keep more of his feeds down too. Being a first time Mummy I was worried I was doing something wrong but I soon realised how common colic and reflux is. These bottle I 100% recommend to any parent going through the same thing

My 3 favourite baby products in terms of usefulness and practicality are -
Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep. No waiting around for bottles to cool. Unfortunately I was unable to breastfeed so this has made life a bit easier. Also handy to make an espresso with the shot of instant boiling water!

Antilop High Chair from Ikea with padding - Fab. Cheap, easy to clean- can put plastic parts in dishwasher even!

Baby electric nail trimmer from Amazon - for a tenner I ensure my little boys nails stay short and I don't have to worry about nipping him with scissors or nail clipper. Takes less than 2 minutes - everyone with a baby needs this little gem. Settings for adults too - it's a great buy.

Absolute best investment I made was for a little life backpack - the adjustable one - paid 55£ on eBay and DS has loved it from six months till eighteen - “backpack” was one of his first words.
