Christmas is just around the corner which for many means the present lists are out and shopping mode is on. Thinking of what special gifts to get for everyone can be quite a task, however good old homemade treats often spread Christmas joy the most. Cadbury would like to know your homemade gift ideas using chocolate.

Do you create little Christmas chocolate hampers or gift bags? Perhaps you bake a chocolate cake and use individual chocolates or crumbled Flake or Crunchie as decoration? Or maybe you melt your favourite Cadbury chocolate and turn it into lollipops or transform it into your own bespoke chocolate bark to hand out?

Whatever your homemade chocolate gift ideas, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Chocolate truffles, dusted with cocoa powder - easy to make, taste good and look great tied in little bags with a bow for a lovely gift :)

I love Mars Bar cakes - melt the Mars bars, add cereal or granola, extra choc and bake - delicious!

I don’t bake anything very inventive but at this time of year when we have been out walking the dog I make everyone a Cadbury’s hot chocolate, spoon on some cream and sprinkle chocolate flake over the top. Yum

Homemade Rocky road

Peppermint creams are a firm Christmas favourite here. I often make them and bag them up with pretty bows for the school Christmas Fair. Yummy.

Making Gingerbread men in the shape of snowmen decorated with icing and put in individual little bags tied with festive ribbons

We have saved some of the moulded plastic packaging from some of the action figures that the kids have bought. We then pour some melted chocolate into these moulds and create chocolate spacement, etc.

Every year we make gingerbread christmas biscuits and dip them in chocolate.

shellywkd · 23/11/2017 15:08

We always make truffles every year as they are easy and you can roll them in loads of different toppings.

We melt chocolate and pour it into letter shaped moulds (letters that spell names) and give them to our nephews for Christmas, they think it's amazing that it says their name and they can eat it

Falconhoof1 · 23/11/2017 15:50

I make a festive rocky road with nuts and cranberries in.

Dormouse1940 · 23/11/2017 16:02

Glue/Tape the recipients favourite bars(in wrappers) or packets of treats onto skewers, then arrange like a bouquet!
Looks wonderful, and appears more expensive than it is

amyhalliday1 · 23/11/2017 16:08

Lisapaige24 · 23/11/2017 16:12

I make cupcakes with chocolate swirl butter cream and each one is topped with a chocolate Santa’s that I make from melting chocolate into molds and I put them into individual boxes and give to each of my children and nieces and nephews on Christmas Eve with a present

mummykate87 · 23/11/2017 16:14

Homemade chocolate trees done with a mould and sugar sprinkles!

ren999 · 23/11/2017 16:18

We often make little mini chocolate baubles. I use a mold that I got for mini easter eggs and then sprinkle edible glitter all over them in various colours. Attach a piece of cotton with a needle and thread and a few of these in a fancy box look so pretty....the recipients can display them on their Christmas trees !

tia3456 · 23/11/2017 16:18

Nigella’s Christmas rocky road

007hel · 23/11/2017 16:22

I always make a fruity and booze Christmas Cake, and my cousin makes a wicked Christmas Pudding... but my DC don’t like either so this year I’m going to make them a chocolate Yule log with a sprinkling of icing sugar .. it would be fab if I can find some chocolate molds to expand the decorating and make them go wow Grin
