Christmas is just around the corner which for many means the present lists are out and shopping mode is on. Thinking of what special gifts to get for everyone can be quite a task, however good old homemade treats often spread Christmas joy the most. Cadbury would like to know your homemade gift ideas using chocolate.

Do you create little Christmas chocolate hampers or gift bags? Perhaps you bake a chocolate cake and use individual chocolates or crumbled Flake or Crunchie as decoration? Or maybe you melt your favourite Cadbury chocolate and turn it into lollipops or transform it into your own bespoke chocolate bark to hand out?

Whatever your homemade chocolate gift ideas, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Chocolate coated figs are delicious but very expensive to buy, but you can make your own. Using a fondue warmer is best and very easy.

Chocolate nut fudge is fab and I love homemade chocolate-covered walnuts as they're not something you buy easily.

Kennylou12 · 23/11/2017 21:10

Chocolate covered strawberries dipped in sprinkles. Indulgent and pretty but you still get fruit!

I like to buy ice cube trays and melt chocolate into them. If the moulds are big enough I add crispy bites into them. My daughter loves them :)

I too have moulds, from Lidl. I keep meaning to make filled chocolates but that never happens, so I just h make solid choc in festive shapes.

We love to make chocolate rice krispie cakes, I know it's not as adventurous as some others but we love them and so do the family!

I've seen a video where they make a chocolate covered strawberry bar using an ice cube tray. I'd like to try that one day.

MSHGW · 24/11/2017 01:37

AWholeLottaRosie · 24/11/2017 07:34

We make chocolate covered marzipan balls, chocolate bark with crushed candy canes, and chocolate Oreo truffles.

createbeauty · 24/11/2017 07:40

I make my own healthy chocolate using cocoa powder, agave or maple syrup, and coconut oil. They can be put into any moulds and kept in the freezer or fridge, otherwise the coconut oil will melt and that's what holds the chocolate in form. :)

Here's an image of my homemade peanut butter cups with Rice Krispies in the bottom. :)

Melted chocolate is one of the easiest ways to decorate a sponge cake. I just pour over a bar of milk chocolate, then drizzle with white chocolate. It looks fab and it’s nice and crunchy when it hardens. I’ve gifted a few cakes like that.
