We have been asked by the team at lights by TENA to find out your top tips for remembering to do pelvic floor exercises.

lights by TENA say "We all know, improving your pelvic floor tone reduces your chances of experiencing little leaks through strengthening those vital muscles - we'd love to know how MNers remember to find the time to do them. What's more we have developed a new app - available here to download!"

Please note, your anon comments may be used by lights by TENA on their website, social media and possibly elsewhere. Please only add a comment if you're happy for it to be used.

Add your comment to this thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £150 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list)

Thanks and good luck

I have a reminder set on my phone for when I wake up in the morning. That way i can do them from the warmth and comfort of my bed!

StandUnderMyUmbrella · 12/12/2014 22:38

I tend to remember when i am on the loo!! Hav done a couple since being on this thread, everytime i read the words 'pelvic floor', it makes me squeeze!! xx

oliveoyl72 · 13/12/2014 00:55

Do them before you get out of bed, so it becomes routine as the first thing you do every day.

gracehedley · 13/12/2014 01:07

While waiting at traffic lights.

YonicSleighdriver · 13/12/2014 01:57

I don't think you are meant to do them mid pee very often, those that do.

Tena, no issue with your product or with PFF but I really dislike this whole "oops!" message. If you leak, it's not one less thing to worry about; it should be something you are worrying about.

aurorablues · 13/12/2014 10:56

When i get up in the morning, i do 20 squats, 20 stretches and the do pelvic floor exercise. I do this as a routine every morning. It doesn't take long at all.

chunkychocky · 13/12/2014 11:53

As a coffee-aholic, I do my pelvic floor exercises every time I boil the kettle and this guarantees that I do them regularly throughout the day!

Cirsium · 13/12/2014 14:49

Whenever I see the title of this thread. It's been very useful thanks.

Bobbylolly570 · 13/12/2014 18:21

I try to do them before getting out of bed in a morning, and before going to sleep on an evening.

When I was briefly working after my first, I would set a discrete reminder on my PC to remind me to do them whilst sat at my desk.

mindingalongtime · 13/12/2014 19:00

Highlight of my week, testing the Tena lady lights is there a feedback thread yet AnnMumsnet?

jennie1984j · 13/12/2014 21:37

i do them every time i go to the toilet!

MaryDunlop99 · 13/12/2014 22:18

You know those good old yellow stick it notes, well you can put them everywhere! On the kitchen fridge door, or the bathroom mirror, on the toilet and many other places!

Blessedandgrateful · 13/12/2014 22:21

My tip ... When you go to the loo , do your pelvic floor exercises by stopping and starting the stream of urine.

baconbap · 13/12/2014 22:46

when you're queueing in the post office or in the supermarket

brookson · 13/12/2014 23:12

YonicSleighdriver · 13/12/2014 23:50

Blessed, I don't think that is good for you.

Lydia30 · 14/12/2014 01:42

Usually when I've just read something about them. I will carry on for a few days up to about a week then stop again until next time.

beehummingbird · 14/12/2014 01:57

Set an alarm on your phone to remind you.

Ryancrawshaw · 14/12/2014 06:42

When giving my daughter a bottle squeeze and hold during this time - multi tasking

hannahlw85 · 14/12/2014 07:45

I had major waterwork infections as a child that put me in hospital and it caused weakness in my pelvic floor muscles so I had to rebuild them along with retraining my bladder over a few years and it became routine to do them regularly throughout the day, so much so that the nurse sometimes struggles doing my smear with how strong they are, but at least it shows it's paid off

cathyov · 14/12/2014 08:18

Everytime you run a tap remember to do them. For us busy mums always cleaning, washing hands and ok even having lots of cuppas - the tap is always running so you can never forget!

Summergarden · 14/12/2014 08:43

I try to do mine as I turn into our road while driving home from somewhere. Should do more though.

AllIWantForChristmasIsANewBody · 14/12/2014 08:47

Whilst the kettle is boiling, which is often in this house!

grannybiker · 14/12/2014 10:00

Am very good at remembering for a few hours after "An incident," but then I can go weeks without another, so tend to forget. Reading some if these tips with interest.
Think the phone bleep would get on my nerves and I'd refuse to do them out of bloody-mindedness! Maybe a jolly figure drifting across my PC screen every hour?

Flossiecrossie · 14/12/2014 12:50

I used to do my excersises whilst driving to work. I drive an automtic, so not as difficut to do as you might imagine. Plus I loke to multi-task :)
