A thread for all who have DC with SN. The thread is deleted in 90 days and doesn’t show in active. The season is changing and the bar is well stocked.

@BlueandWhitePorcelain sorry things are still difficult for DD2 and consequently DGC. Family history is such an interesting thing, women and children being disregard is a really common theme isn’t it.

i did a brave thing tonight after months of setting it up without telling DD I left her alone for 2 hours and went out knowing she hadn’t had her timed medication. She found the right medication and took it on time. That’s months of me ‘forgetting’ promoting, reorganising the medication cupboard together etc

DS class is going out to a stream/picnic site near school tomorrow to cool off. I'm not going he says. We say nothing. Then at bedtime "why not put some spare clothes out" no I'm not going then "well I'll need a bag for them won't I" and then "oh I've found a bag, don't need any help now". He's hilarious!

DH said he would do the new drawings but he's actually just drawn the ones the guy has already done, no idea why. Then I booked a hotel with the wrong surname. Right pair of Muppets today. 😂

@RedRegular Thanks. Yes, it was! It’s funny, that the Victorians were big on religion, but the state didn’t extend to any philanthropy towards the starving. I don’t count workhouses as philanthropy.

DD1 was looked after by the Team Leader for the early shift yesterday. I’m guessing either someone was off sick (at least one is pregnant); or someone had to look after their own school children. Schools may well decide to close, but I dare say, they expect key workers like the emergency services, NHS, care workers, etc to be there? I’ll ask DD2’s ex if his practice has been affected by GPs, having to look after their children?

Very hot here again today and goes up to 35C tomorrow. We managed about 2 and a quarter hours in the garden before we stopped with heat. Made sure DS was inside before we started. I cleaned the silkies coop and cleared leaves, loads at the moment due to very hot weather and cleared a few weeds and DH assembled the second garden shed. I have written the email for the neighbours but not sure we will do it today now but will do it soon. Hotel sorted. DH has to re draw the 3 diagrams. He was a bit grumpy this morning with heat though has cheered up a lot with finding oil for his old car and is driving a few hours to get it. It is cooler from Sunday so next week should be able to get more done.
