Hi all,
NC April 2025
rejected 16/09/2025 requested MR same day I received the letter (didn’t ask for their reasons why) sent all evidence following day tracked postage along with a letter from Sen teacher as when I filled in the forms and sent them I wasn’t aware I needed to do all of that.
received by DLA 19/08.
Awarded yesterday (I did receive a phone call from a very kind lady who answered any questions I had and talked me through why each rate was given)- went to decision maker 2 days prior.
I am very grateful to receive the help and every penny will be going to my son and towards his needs.
I did sent a message on the last thread but I didn’t receive a response from anyone so this is a message really for anyone who may be looking for dates they are working on and
I truly hope you all receive the decision you are hoping for along with the rates your child deserves to help you give them the life they truly deserve xx

Congratulations. Im the 26th August. Feels like its been forever I put it to the back of my mind since I put the MR in but the last couple of weeks have been so stressful think about it.

Lj2000 · 28/02/2026 10:05

My sons been awarded MRC and LRM until 2032, he got awarded it last year summer, but I done forms back in dec 2024 and he’s needs day and night have got much worse. I’m so worried about doing a COC though as I’ve seen people say there claims have been taking away and lowered? Even though my sons needs have most definitely got worse I’m worried about doing the coc and jeopardising it, Isit worth me doing I’m so unsure! And could his 2032 date be changed aswell? any advice would be appreciated, please! X

Blueyandbingox · 28/02/2026 10:57

COC scan date 6/2
Was for mobility as child turning 3 soon.
Got letter through today awarded HRM and kept MRC both until 2031.

Only took 3 weeks, I’m absolutely amazed I thought COCs were on 30 weeks!!

They called me when I was at work. I litrally had no sleep and had to be at work for 5am I have no idea what I said but they changed there minds and awarded my other son. Im just praying I dont miss the call of They phone me.

Hi i sent both my twin boys NC of on 9th of feb tracked, and recieved a text the dat later on the 10th saying we have your child disabikity claim. I called them a few days later to double check that both had been scanned, and was told both were scanned on the 10th x

Kirstylou91 · 02/03/2026 11:27

That’s really made me anxious now I have all evidence of them signing for it etc, mailing centre at DLA said it isn’t lost it’s just not been scanned on yet as there’s loads of backlog over the last 1-2 weeks , 2 weeks today since they received it 💛

I have heard a few people say it can take a couple of weeks to scan onto the system, but i would of thought it would of been done staright away, as a lot of NC this year have been done really fast, wuth people getting decisions at around 4 to 6 weeks x

Kirstylou91 · 02/03/2026 11:34

I rang twice last week and both call handlers told me the same thing, they also put me through to the mailing centre where they located my daughters form, just annoying as more weeks to wait but it is what it is,
my sons NC last year was 15 weeks on the dot , 4-6 weeks is shockingly fast . 💛

I hope they scan it soon🤞 .. my eldest sons first claim took almost 18 weeks in 2023, then when i done his renewal last year, it was due to end on 28th april and they awarded him around 6 days before. But ive seen alot of positve posts with NC and renewals being much faster then the previous years. I think im in for a long wait as a lady on here recentley was awarded for her twins and waited around 22 weeks. She says twin claims tend to take longer. Ive got my fingers crossed it doesnt take that long lol🤞🤞x

Kirstylou91 · 02/03/2026 12:04

Not to to bad then I suppose same with my son 15 weeks ain’t bad at all considering a lot of people were waiting 20-24 weeks, I would treat a twins claim as double the time just so then ur not deflated waiting longer than others , hopefully we all get awarded MR’s are taking ever so long 💛
